We ordered a dozen bagels filled primarily with cinnamon raisin. They were clearly overdone. They boiled or baked them too long and we had trouble eating them. I asked if I could exchange them and they said no. They offered me a discount to buy more and said no returns on bagels. They said this tough bagel is their standard. So if you want overcooked hard bagels, this is for you. If not, try somewhere else. read more

I always try to find a good bagel shop when I move somewhere new and this place doesn't disappoint. Plenty of different bagels and flavored cream cheese to suit whatever mood you're in. I had the Sandbar which is Lox with big capers, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and I opted for jalapeño cream cheese. It was so damn good. Get here early because they're so good they run out! This is one of (if not the only) the best places to get a bagel in Beaufort. They have tons of bagel options and cream cheeses and also add ins like avocado, bacon, lox, etc. It is super delicious! I got the plain bagel with cinnamon roll cream cheese and it was great! My fiancé got the onion bagel with scallion cream cheese and added in bacon and it was super good too! They also have good coffee drinks and sandwiches as well. I got a vanilla latte and it was perfect. We will definitely be back (just earlier in the morning so we can get an everything bagel)! read more

Subtracted a star because they have no online menu and no take out menus. We live in the area, and my husband went to get a to go order, and I couldn't review what they offered as I had to stay at home with a bum leg. Seriously a let down. I just don't get restaurants that have Facebook pages with no menus. How does that make sense? The sesame bagel with egg, cheese and bacon was good, but nothing special. My partner's sandwich which came with ham elicited about the same response. The bagels are definitely the stars of the show. Next time we might just get the bread and make do with creating our own sandwiches at home. read more

Ok so coming from NY and getting a bagel in the south we were a bit nervous!! However I had to Taylor Ham egg and cheese on a bagel and it was amazing. I hate giving less-than-stellar reviews but I was so disappointed at Rain-N-Bagels. As my family and I were staying across the street at The Beaufort Inn (which I highly recommend!), we went to RNB with our breakfast voucher. The location is good and the lady working at the counter was sweet. We ordered 4 stuffed croissants and 4 lattes. The croissants were cold, the lattes were tepid and not well made, and it took almost 20 minutes to get our order. The worst part was another lady in the back aggressively yelled at the poor woman at the counter, basically berating her in front of a room full of customers. It was extremely awkward and uncalled for. I cannot speak to the quality of their bagels but I am not inclined to return to find out. read more

I usually read the negative comments to ensure a place hasn't gone to the bad recently. I'm very happy to report that these fine folks, got it going on! They make there own bagels, cream cheese and so forth in house! They were some of the best bagels I've had other than the ones I make at home. I got two smears on one bagel. I got the jalapeño pimento cheese on one side and lox on the other side of an everything bagel. It was the bomb.com. Very tasty. Like I wished I had went here on the first day, not my last. If it had the 5 stars it deserves, I probably would have tried it already. Just so you know, it's not to small, the people were very nice and the food was terrific. Most reasonably priced food we had while out of town anywhere. I'm thinking about having lunch there, it was so good. I don't do that often! I had a whole wheat bagel with lox, cream cheese, and tomato and had a cappuccino also. It really hit the spot! My husband had an everything bagel with tuna and the works. I've had NY bagels which are great, these are right there. Cup of coffee, a bagel, and a walk down by the shore, life is good. It's right down town on a side road. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR VISITORS GREAT bagel/sandwich place. While Yelp reviews are scarce in the Beaufort area, I did find this place thanks to my fellow Yelpers. It's off the main street and unlikely to be found by accident. The bagels were outstanding and as good as any I've had in NY and elsewhere. They're clearly made onsite as the whole bakery operation is right behind the counter. Very friendly staff and decent prices. Only downside: Not a big fan of the coffee served in thermoses but it wasn't bad. Will be back when back in the area. read more

Bagels are good, but the service just sucks. The last two times I went, I was first in line and had to wait 10 minutes each time while the counter person prepared drinks for previous customers. They spend way too much time preparing fancy drinks and too little time focused on the person ordering. All I wanted was a bagel with cream cheese and a regular coffee. When I finally did get my order, my simple-to-prepare coffee was cold. Please, reduce the items on your menu and just focus on simple, quick-to-prepare items. This place is small but the menu looks to be bigger than Panera's. And cut out all the fancy drinks. Time spent on those is lost revenue. read more
