Service is good and friendly. The debut of their matcha (green tea) donuts were okay. I would have preferred a more pronounced matcha flavor. Way too subtle for me. You wouldn't recognize the flavor unless you really have to slowly and deliberately "taste" for the matcha. But their blueberry donuts were wonderful!!! Yummy-licious. I recently wrote a pretty negative review about this place and now I must make an amendment. I was completely wrong about the blueberry donuts. The first one I had was not fresh out of the oven and yeah, it wasn't anything special, however- I did stop by on another occasion- to buy lottery tickets, of all things. Side note: This place is supposedly pretty lucky from what I've heard. Anyway, as we were paying for the tickets, the blueberry donuts caught my eye and I decided to give it another shot- they seemed like they were freshly baked. The verdict: the blueberry donut IS amazing! I finally got what the hype was all about. You have to get them fresh, when they're still warm. Mmm. They are lightly crisp on the outside and so soft on the inside. The texture variation in combination with the burst of flavors was incredible. I'm a believer now. If you miss that window of opportunity to get a warm donut- my advice is to buy one anyway and throw it in a toaster oven at home for a few seconds. You'll get the warm, crispy yet soft, effect you're looking for. How amazing is it really? I'm giving this place 4 stars, solely based on the blueberry donut. It doesn't get any better. After a 4 mile jog lastnight, I was amped as usual around midnight. I was pheening donuts so I yelped 24hr donut shops. Rainbow popped up and it was in the neighborhood. Got into the flex and headed out. Got there in 5 min and as I suspected no one but an old man and i were there. Place was a lot smaller than I expected but that's not was important. So I took a look at their selection. Needless to say the selection was scarce. Saw the other yelpers rave about the bb donuts. So I copped 4 and some donut holes for my little girl. Took off and got home. Took a bite into bb donut. It was good nice and moist with a light glaze on the exterior. It had a nice crisp on it plus the flavor was on point not too sweet. Wifey tasted it and it got the stamp of approval. I'll be back but only if a bb donut was in mind. Been to better spots locally. read more

I bought a half dozen of donuts and they were extremely greasy. Now, I know that donuts are greasy and I am not expecting them to be healthy. But by the time I got home, the bottom of the box was soaked in donut oils.The sugar donuts were soft, but left a greasy, unpleasant "oil has been used too many times" flavor. Just came from here. I was really craving a glazed donut and they're one of the few places that are open past 10:30 pm. I wanted to go to Krispie Kreme at the Long Beach traffic circle, since I wanted a nice warm donut, but sadly they're already closed at this time. Anyhow, I decided to try out this place and I'm so glad that I did! Definitely took care of my donut craving! I am currently enjoying my yummy, fluffy glazed donut as I type. It's just the right amount of fluffiness and glaze. Not too sweet, nor too dense, and extremely fluffy. I'm not sure if it's because of the late hour, or if it's because the worker was super nice (he actually did not even say one word at all to me but smiled the entire time), but I received two free donuts in addition to my order: a maple glazed, and a french crueller. I'm not sure how much the donuts usually are, so I handed him some dollar bills, but he just took $1.00 from me. $1.00 for 3 full sized donuts!! My boyfriend and my daughter are enjoying the other two donuts at the moment, but I'm sure they were delicious as well. I will definitely come here again! read more

Blueberry donut was good but not as cake battery as other blueberry donuts I had. Had my first cruller there and its basically egg bread with frosting. Very eggy. The tiger tail I tried based upon the reviews. It was massive but I don't see what all the hullabaloo is -ate the chocolate parts and tossed the rest. I give a 3.75 out of 5. May come back for the decent blue berry donuts at a reasonable price in the future. read more

This donut shop is right near Guppy House. While usually busy in the mornings it tends to die down later. The donuts sometimes are a bit mushy and not that fresh. Its your usual home grown donut shop. If you are desperate go get a donut. read more

I've been a long time customer of theirs (10+ years now). They have the best coffee in town. I know they do some deliveries because sometimes, I see them packing their car full of donuts. They recently just started selling these croissant breakfast sandwiches - egg and cheese. They're really good. If you're in the neighborhood, I highly recommend you dropping by. read more

When we came in for the speciality donuts we didn't really see any on display, they had all the normal donuts. It's easy for me to get in there, pick up a ham and cheese croissant, a small bottle of OJ and head into work within less than a minute. Their blueberry donuts are great! It wasn't greasy and over sweet from the glaze. Also try this for a change: Instead of having a birthday cake, send your love ones (especially the kids) a ~10 inch donut for breakfast to share with their friends. These 10 inch donuts can be special ordered from Rainbow Donuts and will be the talk of the town. I had one ordered for my son's 14th bithday. Imagine the look in his face when he saw the huge donut for him in the morning! It was great and he will remember this special moment for years to come. read more

The customer service at this place is usually great during the morning and day but at night is horrible. The old guy who worked here tonight was so rude. As a polite and courteous customer, I expected the worker to be helpful and nice but this old guy was the total opposite. It wasn't a good experience being here tonight mainly because of him.
