    Bottle of Sauvignon Blanc

I've been coming to Rainbow Kitchen for years, and I can't believe I'm only now getting around to writing a review. If you're looking for authentic Chinese food, this is one of my favorite spots. They consistently offer fresh seafood, including live fish, lobster, and crab. Our go-to order always includes: * Dungeness crab with ginger and scallions -- incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. * Salt and pepper calamari -- crispy, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. * Ong choy with garlic -- fresh, simple, and packed with flavor. We usually pair our meal with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The owner is a true wine enthusiast and always has an excellent selection at very reasonable prices, without the typical restaurant markup. The best part? They allow BYOB with no corkage fee, which is a rare and much-appreciated bonus. Rainbow Kitchen has been a longtime favorite of ours, and we always leave happy. Highly recommended!

The Peking duck was an absolutely unforgettable experience from start to finish. The presentation alone was impressive--crispy golden skin carved tableside with precision, followed by tender, juicy slices of duck that practically melted in every bite. The highlight was the contrast in textures: the skin was perfectly crisp and rich, while the meat stayed incredibly soft and flavorful. Each piece was wrapped in warm pancakes with fresh cucumber, scallions, and a delicate hoisin sauce that balanced everything beautifully without overpowering the duck.

We arrived at 10:50 and there was a line out the door being an avid dim sum aficionado and eating it every Sunday for the last 30+ years throughout the world has really elevated my taste. One thing I like besides the incredible service is the quality of the food. The products they use and that this is actually one of the healthiest dim sum I've ever eaten with less added fats, salts, or MSG. If you love dim sum like I do and your health conscience and worry about fitness and what you're putting into your body this is the place you definitely have to go to

Love coming here for dim sum lunch. It's close to my house and big restaurant for a lot of people too. We waited only about 10 min for the 2 of us to get seated. We ordered tangerine beef rice rolls, eggplant stuffed with shrimp paste, and salt n pepper fish. We also ordered oolong tea as well. Tea is $1.88 a person. Everything came out hot and fresh. The eggplant portion was really big and perfect to share. They cut them in halves. The salt n pepper fish had lot of fried garlic, green onion, and jalapenos for flavor. I like how the batter wasn't too thick and oily as well. The tangerine beef rice rolls didn't have too much tangerine flavor as before but still delicious. They have a lot of items on their menu worth trying. They have duck, seafood, noodles, and some dessert dim sum to try as well. Looking forward to coming back to try more items with more people.

Been coming here for years and its been always a go to spot! We've dine in and take out. Restaurant is decent size and it can accommodate bug parties. They can get busy. Their menu is has so many of our faves! Service - most of the time is great. This visit we ordered BBQ Pork, Roast Pig, Peking Pork, Salt N Pepper pork chops, Beef chow fun, salt and pepper pork chops and Braised tofu and veg. It's been a while since we've ate here and it was just as good as I remembered.Def worth a place to check out- esp dinner! Havent had dim sun here in a minute but im sure its just as good!

Busy restaurant for a great dim sum! Went Sunday and this place was packed! Been before for dim sum and definitely this one hits the spot! Pro tip, if you want their baked BBQ BUNS, get there early. By 12:30, there were none left to purchase. They are super delish, and was disappointed we didn't get them. For the yummies we did get, Yass, everything was super, hot and served fast! Would recommend this place, but there could be a wait for tables, esp if you have big a big groups. This is a checklist style of dimsum, no carts. I leave my order in the photos, to give a guide line. Pretty standard order, nothing too strange. Standouts are the eggplant stuffed with shrimp and the taro puffs.

I have been craving for Chinese food. I saw this on TikTok and it looks good. We went to check it out. It wasn't busy when we got there so we got seated right away. The service was okay. The food was okay. We ordered a lot to tryout including my takeout shrimp with scrambled eggs.

This restaurant should get more spotlight on it's authentic and great quality dim sum! Forget about the "wannabe" so called dim sum places on the strip. Really people come here for the dim sum fixes. Also. I'm calling out those AYCE dim sum and Chinese place for feeding us frozen/leftover like dim sums. You have nothing compare to this restaurant! To be honest, I'm surprised about the good quality and how much they stick to the traditional flavors. All the items we ordered are pretty tasty. If it needs to be crunchy, it's crunchy. If it needs to have lava-like salty egg yolk inside the bun, it has exactly what you are expecting! The service is awesome too. They check on the pot often and refill it. They even charge plates once. Wow! I never experienced this level of service unless it's a very nice Chinese restaurant. This restaurant deserves better and more reviews. My friends and I are looking forward to come back.

Rainbow Kitchen is now my go-to spot for dim sum and dumplings in SW Las Vegas! Nestled in a strip mall on Rainbow Blvd, this casual Cantonese restaurant serves truly fresh, made-to-order dim sum with no carts, just impeccable quality. Highlights include crispy dumplings pear shape (but tbh I call them DUCKLINGS lol) and the porridge. They serve it for you and you just eat. The portions are generous and bursting with flavor. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, with friendly, attentive staff (I love how they employ older gen staff and they are all SUPER NICE), a refreshing change from the chaos of Chinatown. I'm now a regular!

The first time the two of us went to rainbow kitchen, I was quite impressed. The food ingredients were fresh. First of all, the spareribs with taro are highly recommended. They tasted great and the taro was very soft. The shrimp was springy with the rice roll . The lava salted egg yolk buns were also quite good. After finishing one, I ordered another. The stir-fried Chinese cabbage with garlic was also very well made. Let me talk about some not-so-good ones The taste of the honeycomb tripe w/ satay sauce was not up to standard and was a bit bland. The porridge was actually okay. If the rice could be cooked a little softer. The crispy shrimp dumplings were a bit oily. Also, the freshly baked roast duck didn't have the crispy texture and was a bit lacking in flavor. The food in this restaurant has a relatively low salt content for me. If there were a little more salt, it might be even more delicious. The service was also very good. They often came over to check if there was any tea or water, and even offered to change the plates for us. But what was not so good was that when they saw you had nothing to eat, they would quickly come over to ask if you wanted to pay the bill. It feels like I'm about to leave after eating, and that made me uncomfortable . Their tips are calculated after tax, starting from 18%. I don't mind giving them 18% because the service is quite good. But I do mind giving them 18% after tax. Although it's a difference of a few dollars, this is a matter of principle. There's no reason for you to ask us consumers to pay the tax for your tips. Later, I gave them 18% before tax. But overall, compared with the Chinese food I've been to, it's still okay. So I give them four stars

This is always a nice spot to have dim sum. There's a great variety and the dishes come out hot. They are good at checking in on you to remove empty dishes and refill the water and tea. There are a lot of tables and it does get crowded, but that's the sign of a good Chinese place.

Rainbow Kitchen is one of our go to spots for Chinese food nearby home. Our absolute favorites are the salt and pepper pork chop and the squid. They are always crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right every time. We usually call ahead and they are very accommodating which makes ordering very easy and convenient for our family. The portions are generous and the food always comes out hot and fresh. Another big plus is the pricing. It is very affordable compared to other Chinese restaurants especially for the quality and portion sizes you get. I always tell friends to check our receipt so they can order the same dishes because it is truly my go to menu all the time for me and my family. Highly recommend.

Ok came back to give it another try..definitely redeemed......Reserved a table for 7 for family birthday dinner and it was perfect. All food served family style. Ordered Honey Walnut Shrimp Orange Chicken Dim sum BBQ pork bun Dim sum Lobster Salt and Pepper Lobster Sweet Corn with Chicken Soup Mongolian Beef Singaporean Noodles Glass Noodles with BBQ pork Scallops We tried it all. The service was amazing our server was attentive with refills, clearing plates and even helped serve my boyfriends cake. The food was fresh and Dim sum was very good. We live in the area and had been there prior and our family lived close and agreed we found a hidden gem. The salt and pepper lobster was 3ilbs and cooked amazing! Will come back and try the other flavors. The hot tea is a great addition. If you want a traditional delicious Chinese restaurant in your local area this is the place! Fresh food and great service!

Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai (5/5): The absolute highlight of the meal and easily one of the best versions of this classic dish available. The order comes with four enormous pieces that taste incredibly fresh, with every single bite packed to the brim with juicy, distinct chunks of real shrimp and pork. Bean Curd Skin Roll (5/5): Another standout favorite of the visit. The dish includes three large rolls cut cleanly in half, packed with incredibly juicy meat filling. It's especially delicious when you ladle the savory sauce from the bottom of the plate over each bite. Cream Egg Yolk Bun (5/5): A dessert that tastes like a cross between an egg tart and a sweet pineapple bun. The sweet egg yolk cream center is warm and exceptionally gooey, so you'll want to take your first bite carefully to prevent the runny filling from splattering. Salt and Pepper Squid (4/5): A very clean, airy, and crispy appetizer that shows zero signs of being fried in old kitchen oil. While the batter leans a bit light on the expected salt and savory seasoning, the abundance of thinly sliced fresh jalapeno peppers added a spicy kick. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf (4/5): A very solid, comforting option with excellent overall flavor throughout the rice, though the savory meat filling hidden inside the center felt a little sparse. Beef Tripe with Ginger and Scallion (4/5): A dim sum staple featuring an incredibly delicious, gingery sauce and great savory flavor. Beef Congee (4/5): We ordered the medium-sized bowl, which easily yielded at least 4 smaller bowls of congee, making it a perfect shared carb to round out the meal. It had a comforting consistency with a subtle note of ginger, though it personally sits just below a traditional preserved egg and pork style for me. Logistics Tip: Arriving around noon on the weekend means encountering a packed house, but the staff moves the crowd efficiently and gets tables turned over in short order. You place your order by marking your selections directly onto a paper slip, and the kitchen sends items out to your table as soon as they're ready, meaning dishes will arrive in a random, staggered flow throughout your dining experience.

The vast majority of the items we ordered were straight off of carts that were being pushed around. It felt like a blast from the past since a lot of dim sum places now are strictly checking items off a menu or mostly menu with a handful of carts. For a place called New Asian BBQ, we saw very few people ordering BBQ. The food: Zha liang - rice noodle roll wrapped around a you tiao (fried cruller). Probably the least healthy thing on the menu, but arguably the tastiest with different textures and a ton of flavor from the 3 dipping sauces (soy based, sesame based, oyster sauce based) Shrimp and Chive steamed dumpling - I'm always a sucker for this steamed version or the pan fried version. One of the few glimpses of vegetables you'll see at dim sum. Chang Fen (rice noodle roll) - we ordered a shrimp and a beef - both easily meeting our standards Dou Hua (tofu pudding) - served hot with ginger simple syrup. It's even softer than silken tofu. The dish is a bit polarizing, but I like a good Dou Hua. Taro Puffs - always a favorite of ours, they have a pretty good one here Steamed beef ribs - this was an interesting one we've never had at a dim sum restaurant. They're short ribs with a soy, sugar marinade. Pineapple Bun with Salted Egg Yolk - I don't even know what this was called on the menu, but it was the filling of a Liu Sha Bao inside a Pineapple Bun. All these met expectations - Bean Curd (tofu skin) Pork Roll, Ginger Tripe, Shrimp Dumplings, Beef Balls For Dim Sum, I typically expect at least $30 per person. We ate a ton and came in a smidge under that after tax and tip. Everything was good to great and we were very happy that we decided to eat here for brunch. Finding the Real Deal: Dim Sumlicious is the Authentic Yum Cha Las Vegas Has Been Missing…read moreLas Vegas has no shortage of Chinese restaurants, but anyone who's grown up going to yum cha knows the difference between dim sum done right and dim sum done for tourists. I've been on a quiet, slightly obsessive hunt across this city for the genuine article -- the kind of Sunday morning experience that transports you straight to a bustling Hong Kong tea house. And friends, I found it. It's called Dim Sumlicious, and the name does not lie. The moment the first bamboo basket hit our table, I knew this was different. Dim Sumlicious has a chef with over 30 years of experience honing his craft in Hong Kong, and it shows in every single bite. This isn't the frozen-and-steamed shortcut situation you'll find at so many spots around town. These are handmade, skillfully executed classics that carry the weight of real tradition behind them. The har gow wrappers had that perfect translucent delicacy -- thin enough to see through, sturdy enough to hold. The siu mai were plump and properly seasoned. The char siu bao, both baked and steamed, hit every note I was hoping for. Cart after cart brought something worth ordering, and nothing disappointed. But beyond the food, what struck me about Dim Sumlicious was the atmosphere of care. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable -- a rarity in a city where restaurants can feel like they're processing customers on a conveyor belt.
