I feel like she's well-prepared to start Kinder in the fall. I'm also impressed with the advancements I've seen in my son as he's progressed through the toddler program into the 2s. All of the teachers make an effort to know every child's name and I think that makes them feel very special and included. I appreciate that they went through the process to become accredited and have a strong curriculum in place (while leaving plenty of room for the kids to still have fun). It's also nice that being in a federal building makes you feel like the kids are very safe. There are numerous security measures in place to finally get through the center's door, but nothing that would scare the kids. All of the building's security officers are so sweet with the kids!

My biggest problem was enforcing policies across the board for all children and parents. I felt like my daughter was scratched WAY TOO MUCH! I understand kids scratch, but if the nail clipping policy is enforced and parents are required to cut their daughter's or son's nails, scratches would happen less. Teachers should have nail clippers available at drop-off so parents can clip their children's nails. All in all, whenever I had a critique or comment for staff, it was always heard and respected.

I stalk him all the time on the little parent stalker cameras, and they're always playing with him, feeding him, or doing a cute activity. In the summer, they have splash day once a week where they fill little kiddy pools up with about an inch of water and let them splash around. It's adorable. Added bonus- this school provides formula and food for the kids! I wasn't initially looking for a school that offered that, but wow, it sure is an added bonus. I get weekly emails of photos of my son and a little tid bit of what they worked on for the week, it couldn't be any cuter- letters, animals, numbers, colors, friendship, you name it, they work on it. I highly recommend Dallas Day School to anyone who is looking for a daycare.

I'd toured other schools where the teachers in the room my twins would be in didn't even speak or a knowledge me(red flag). They had beautiful music playing (it was nearing nap time) and it smelled so clean. It was so bright and had such great energy throughout the building. I was pleased to see weekly charts in lesson plans and active. I'm just all around excited that I FINALLY found the school/daycare for my children that I can breath a little more easy about. This is one of my first experiences using a daycare facility because we often use family. I had to use this daycare facility out of necessity for my child. My child is pre-k age and is/was potty training and the facility did not properly assist my child in keeping themselves clean or on track with potty training. My child came home with poop streaks, and poor bathroom hygiene from not wiping properly almost daily. My child came home with no pants, no shoes (they lost them and could not find them until the next day), covered in pen ink and marker, a Missing backpack (they lost it and could not find it until the next day) on several occasions. It became increasingly apparent that the facility was not able to take care of children correctly. My child never came home with any notes or work that they had done, so I am only left to assume that no activities or curriculum was used at the facility for the pre-K age students. There was little to no communication with me regarding what was going on at the facility and when I was called it was only to tell me that there was an issue. My child was in this facility for only a few months and WE ARE NOT GOING BACK. The last straw for me was when my child was INJURED by a daycare worker causing the need for an EMERGENCY ROOM VISIT. To be clear this INJURY was caused by the caregiver based on the information I received from the doctor. This may not be everyone's experience, but it was mine and if I was a parent seeking a new daycare I would want to know what is going on at the facility. Please know that I do not normally write reviews of this nature, but felt like others needed to know our experience at this facility in order for them to make the best decisions for their own children and families. Please stay safe and my recommendation is to seek daycare anywhere, but at this facility. I hope the facility improves and works on training for the caregivers in the facility, but they have a long way to go as far as I am concerned.

She always greets my nephew by his name also other children as well again a very laid back non chaotic atmosphere. I also want to thank Ms. Bridget in the school age classroom. My niece's and nephew which are 7,6 & 5 never wants to leave. Thank you , both for being amazing teacher as there are far and few in-between good ones left. They go above and beyond for every single child , new activities every week , always teaching them just like a school. Every single teacher is so sweet & looks out for the kids. Ms.Pat & Ms.Tonya are so understanding & sweet , no matter what your situation is they try their hardest to make accommodations. First they attempted to pull the whole we don't take to sunnyvale anymore but we worked out a deal. I would continue to pay full price but I would take him to school and they would pick him up. Once I walked in to him stretched across a table with two teachers restraining him by the wrists and ankles. The fear in his eyes I could not describe. The last incident was I pulled up in the parking lot and my special needs son went trough a back door and was waiting in the parking lot for me, he's 6. I called the state and waged a formal complaint to which they attempted to retaliate because they weren't doing their job and attempted to dismiss him. When I referenced what happened they had no Idea and continued to argue with me until I asked to pull the cameras. The straw that broke the camels back was that he was having an outburst and I had to call my elderly mom to come get him. Their excuse? They are older with bad knees and can't chase children. I am a major supporter of children with special needs and how they are grossly mistreated and humiliated because they aren't acting like the normal children. If you file a complaint they try to dismiss you with that excuse. Why are you watching children if you can't keep up with them? I checked the state website regarding their citations and it fell right into how they were treating my son. Unfair humiliation, yelling, dehumanizing the children, look for your self, there's 18 citations. Again, my son had an outburst and I was called at work to come get him. I don't know many working people who can do that over and over again. So, they called my elderly mother to come get him. He was in a altercation with a boy, who open handed struck my child and left marks. Miss Becky, one with bad knees, told himvto push him back. Violence is not taught in my home. He was sent home several times "soiled", my son wakes up on him being "scolded" for letting his nose run and not wiping it, boo boo in his undies and all I asked was some one ensure he wipes his butt when done because he still learning, several scars and bruises "unexplained" finally after numerous complaints to the directors they wanted me to come get him if he don't sit down or stop crying and every thing I complained about I was given and excuses for never know, accountability was held on the teachers. Also, I found out there was like one teacher watching over 20 quids at times that's too many for one person even if the child doesn't have any disabilities, so after thinking, they was gonna work with me because I was working with the disability at a local school to get him in, I got a letter that they was like with his last day of this day. I didn't wanna send him back because he was coming home with too many bumps and bruises and issues so I literally paid for five days that he didn't even go. it's not the whole staff, but they really need to get more staffed. It's more family that works there and people help out what they can. The toys are outdated or broken, it needs a new makeover. Ultimately go for yourself make unexplained, unexpected visits and see for yourself. miss Sammy is a guy sent. She's very helpful. Try to help the kids with the most issues and she is what hoes that place together and they do her even bad in my opinion.
