Pretty freaking delicious! I have to say one of the best restaurants near Fallbrook, compared to all the other stuff in town I'd have to say this restaurant is top 5. Our service was great, the hostess was an angel, and our server was amazing. I wish I would of gotten their names because such truly hard workers, I'm very thankful for the meal and dining experience. Love the breakfasts here! Ample portions and food cooked well. Service is good and the place is a well run restaurant. They have a full bar here so if a Bloody Mary is what you are after with breakfast this is the place! Interior is like a rustic old-fashioned diner and the tables are far enough apart that you don't feel like you are right on top of the person next to you. Vast menu with some unique as well as good old old fashioned dishes! There can be quite a line in the morning on the weekends so I suggest getting here either earlier or later to avoid a long wait. Prices are just okay and it can add up fast otherwise I would of given them 5 stars. I'd prefer lower prices and less food but that is me. Check them out and FYI, their fried chicken dinner is the bomb! read more

I stopped in last week and ordered a bowl of chili and a side salad. They told me they had homemade dressing and I couldn't decide so the waitress brought me out homemade ranch and homemade thousand island. The lettuce was very crispy and the dressings were amazing so I was slightly disappointed when the chili came out cold and greasy. My friend ordered a meatloaf sandwich, which came with mashed potatoes and gravy. She let me taste it and it was wonderful. I let the waitress know that I wasn't happy with the chili and she offered to take it back and brought me something else. I decided on a deli sandwich and it was wonderful. Not everyone can like everything and the way they handled it was absolutely wonderful, so much so that we ordered dessert and I'm going back with another friend tomorrow because I really want to try their breakfast. read more

Went here on a Sunday night for dinner. I ordered the "Little Baseball Sirloin" and my Boyfriend ordered the Fish'n'Chips. The place had run out of fries, but not baked potatoes or mashed potatoes, implying the fries are not fresh, no big deal. Additionally, My steak, ordered medium, came out rare, very obviously rare and squishy. As for the chips, they had the color and taste of old oil and grease but were crispy. I'm giving the place 3 stars because I've seen other reviews and photos of the food, this paired with the small redeeming factors in my own food, i.e. good grill flavor and grill marks on my steak, causes me to still have faith in the place; I will be returning. read more

Rainbow has the best reuben around. Perfect swirl rye, meat and the fixings. Their fries are huge, stylized potato wedges, super delicious. I've also had the eggs benedict - it is a huge breakfast - too much to eat it all. Have eaten at prime rib night whiich is a good buy and delicious. This is a rustic, super casual place with a great room banquet feel. It is all wood inside with exposed beams. They have a separate bar room which is nice for adults. I took this awesome route from SD to temecumurrieta. Gorgeous back roads through SD to the valley. There are insanely nice ranch farm style homes, lakes and Dams and awesome hillsides and swooping wavy roads. It was awesome that I ended up at this restaurant that makes super delicious extra juicy tri-tip sandwiches. Their menu looks really good with other foods too. If you check their website there is a cool story of their history and what they're all about. Bridget was the sweet rambunctious waitress that greeted me and served my delicious meal. Such a sweetheart, with a big smile, and sweet sense of humor. I love how this restaurant is biker friendly with a whole section of parking just for us bikers. Felt at ease and at home instantly. It really means allot to us riders to have a parking spot dedicated to motorcycles. We love to have a good view of our bikes especially if we're traveling. I can't say enough about the atmosphere. Very woodsy and country. You really feel like you're just away from it all. Very refreshing. Oh and by the way, the beer battered onion rings are super good too. Been here 2x in the last week because the food quality is amazing. Had the monster brisket tacos and they were amazing. Had great servers but the service can be slow. It's totally worth it. Great place and great food. If you're a biker, go there on the weekends. read more

I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't been to this place since maybe 30 years ago and was taken back by the condition of the joint and its operation. They had several employees delivering a fresh product that seemed to hit upon every mark, except the price. I wasn't here to evaluate so I didn't pay too much attention to a lot of things, but I did notice that there was quite the lunch crowd on this Wednesday. I ordered the chicken special, which was a rather tasty half chicken fried, with fresh mashed potatoes that were still perfectly chunky all for the "special" price of $11.99. Normally 14.99. It also came with a rather plain, but tasty slaw. And the sandwiches were all well over $10. I'm beginning to wonder about their demographic market, because the place was rather full; and the portions were large enough for a very hungry person, but the price was still seemingly very high. I will return sometime very soon to see what a Sunday breakfast is like. The staff, and there were many of them, all seemed very attentive and friendly. We spent $50 for two including two tap beers and tip. For a road side cafe? I still give 'em 4 stars because it was a good experience and the floor staff even stood at attention when the Star Spangled Banner played at high noon. I don't know what that was all about. That was kinda weird . . . but cool . . . but awkward . . . but weird. My niece and I just looked around and she explained that she worked at place and they did the same thing . . . cause they just thought they should. So they did. The food and service here are great. The one thing I don't really like is they charge almost $4.00 for a diet soda. When I went in this week for breakfast which costed almost $25.00 I saw a .77 cent transaction fee for credit cards. They are now charging the customer for this. With the cost of that soda you have made such an overhead it's really sad to see this transaction fee. Then you have a tip on top of that. Not anymore. I don't walk around with a wad of cash just so I don't have to pay a transaction fee. Done with these places charging a transaction fee. Will eat somewhere else. read more

Took my dad here for breakfast while he was in town visiting. My boyfriend drive past this place all the time and have always wanted to try it. We were seated right away and ordered soon after. Rainbow Oaks has a friendly atmosphere. Their food is all farm to table. The Fallbrook Omelet is made with chicken, it's delicious. All other omelets are filled with Veggies, meats, cheese and LOTS of local avocados. Sharing is always a necessity if you're a gal. Me I like to eat 1/2 and enjoy the other 1/2 for dinner. Lunches include a variety of salads. My favorite is Mandarin Chicken. Salad. Sandwichs, burgers, soups will challenge your palate with savory deliciousness. Dinners Monday-Thursdays are feel-good entrees. All meats are grass fed. Can't wait to enjoy their stuffed pork chops next visit. The interior of Rainbow Oaks was created with the wood from past fires in Fallbrook. I highly recommend any and all of their fabulous entrees. read more
