From the Pumpkin Bread French Toast to the Sweet Potato Burrito you can't go wrong. You can tell everything is made fresh and in house. The servicers go above and beyond to make sure your experience is nothing less than extraordinary. I really also love the vibe, feels like you're eating at a cozy cottage in the mountains with a fun family vibe. The owners are always there and you can tell they really care about every last plate that comes out of that kitchen. I was skeptical about coming to Rainbow at first, having dietary restrictions means it's harder to indulge. Upon entering, it was a calm and relaxed environment. The employees wore different colored shirts in ways that fit them best, some were even decorated. It's great to see creativity in the workplace. Getting to the food, the wait was a little long but once it arrived it was obvious why. It was a steaming hot plate of egg scramble with vegetables and bacon, two gluten free toasts, and a side of watermelon and oranges. They have many options for vegan, gluten free, vegetarian, pescatarian, dairy free and nut free. They offered delicious vegan coffee cake as well as homemade gluten free french toast, gluten free pancakes and toast. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I had the absolute best tofu scramble I have EVER had in my life! Got here early on a Sunday morning (before 8:00 a.m.) and was quickly seated. It seemed to fill up a bit after that point, but that seems to be typical with any great brunch place. Service was wonderful and they were constantly filling up my coffee and water before it was even empty. The cheese sauce they put on their eggs Benedict is disgusting. It's gritty like an off brand Mac n cheese powdered sauce that didn't get mixed very well. Took two bites and didn't eat the rest. Waitress never came over until everyone in my party was done eating so I couldn't even order something else. Then when she took my plate away with a full plate of food and when I told her I didn't like it she didn't even offer to comp my meal. It might have just been an off day for that waitress but the meal I had sucked. All around a bad experience. Gluten free friendly. They have many items that are gluten free or can be made gluten free. So why the one-star? They made me sick. I made it clear to the waitress that I needed gluten free food. She went back and checked on the soup for me. I ordered a turkey melt on gluten free bread and the soup of the day came with it. Another server brought our food out. I usually ask if something is gluten free multiple times. The bread did not look gluten free, it didn't have that crumbly falling apart look. That server said, oh I don't know, and took the plate back to the kitchen. My server was out a few minutes, maybe 10 minutes later. She assured me now the bread was gluten free. She assured me they remade my food. I had missed breakfast, only a banana. So I know they made me sick. I don't care what she said, they didn't remake my sandwich. They made me sick because they were too cheap to fix their mistake safely. read more

Nice find in the Foco, only sad that i didnt find it earlier in life. This is one of the breakfast places in town that i have a reason to come back. They have an interesting menu, and the food was great and worth hoppin around the menu to try it all. I had the ultimate rainbow breakfast, which includes 2 sweet potato latkes, 2 eggs. fresh fruit, bacon, and a slice of pumpkin bread. washed this all down with an amazing iced chai, worth a visit in its own right. the latkes were good, covered with applesauce and sour cream. my only thoughts on that is pick one of those two toppings, for me the combo left a odd texture/flavor profile on my tongue. As has been previously stated the waitstaff can be a bit flakey. They have a great outdoor patio, with ample shading, great place to hang in the summer. Came with a good sized slice of ham, two eggs, pumpkin bread and a ton of fruit. It was great and very filling. SO MANY VEGAN OPTIONS! We were staying at a nearby campground and we searched Yelp for vegan breakfast restaurants and ended up at Rainbow. The breakfast options were so extensive (and both our meals were delicious!!) that we came back that same day for lunch! Adorable and dog-friendly patio on the side is also great. The icing on the cake: after ordering the tempeh scramble for breakfast and soy milk with our coffees, the waiter actually asked if we are vegan and wanted our toast dry (no butter). I've never had a waiter thoughtful enough to ask that, and I always forget to mention it and end up sad when my toast arrives buttered on an otherwise vegan meal. Thank you Rainbow!! read more
