Due to many unfortunate events in my past, I found myself in need of a person or a car dealer that could work with my situation. I had everything g working against me. Less than perfect credit, owed way more on my current car, and had requirements as far as the new car was concerned that could possibly never be met. I was told that if what I needed to make happen was ever to be done, I should go see this guy named Shane G at All Pro. Now mind you, I had been searching for that perfect car and the perfect deal for nearly six months. So needless to say, I thought that it was going to be just another one of those wasted weekends, being told what they thought I wanted to hear, then getting told the honest truth, which of course was not what I wanted to hear. From the very beginning Shane told me what I wanted to accomplish was not going to be easy, the payment schedule I was looking for was what he called " a little out of wack ". To make a long story short, he did everything he could and went way beyond what would be expected of a car dealer, all to make me a satisfied customer. Although my interest rate was a little hi, I did get the car that I not only needed, but he car that I wanted. My payments were surprisingly lower than what I told him was my maximum budget. And to top it all off, he was willing to have the car driven down to Portland and have my trade picked up. None of this was at any expense of mine. We've also sent several of our friends to them because they've been so easy to work with. (That said, one of the three cars we bought was problematic. A bit of a lemon. Hence the four stars. But they fixed it, and we haven't had any other problems.) We go through cars like other people drink water. We're pretty picky, and grow tired of cars after a year or so. We (Phil Simmons) bought a 1996 Ford F250 4x4 for $4500.00 not including taxes, fees, etc. I think…read morethe total came to somewhere around $5200.00. When we got the truck home, we took it to a local car shop to have it thoroughly checked out. The shocks were shot, and all the fluids were as bad as bad can get. New shocks and all the fluids being replaced plus a general checkup on the truck costs us around $1600.00. We were told by a mechanic at Car Guys that the shocks were fine even though they were all rusted on the outside. What I'm trying to say is that one needs to make sure the vehicle you're interested in buying is thoroughly checked out before you buy. There are no warranties at Car Guys so once you sign all the paperwork and drive off the lot, you're on your own. One thought is bringing a mechanic if you're not a mechanic or take the car/truck to a mechanic while out test driving. Eddie was a very nice person and likeable. Cory seemed nice but was very busy. The cars and trucks are used and most likely picked up at auctions or trades. We learned our lesson because we did not have the truck fully checked out before we bought it. Would we buy from them again? Yes, but we would have the vehicle thoroughly checked out first. Prices seemed pretty good for cars and trucks at Car Guys. Again, check the car/truck out thoroughly before you buy.

I was informed the car had been inspected thoroughly and that there were no major issues with the car. While getting my transmission fluid flushed I was informed my head gaskets were leaking both coolant and engine oil. It has yet to have a major effect on my car, but it will cost me a lot of time and money to get it fixed. Even though I was informed they had done an inspection themselves I should have taken it for a pre purchase inspection myself. Lesson learned from a first time car buyer.
