Incredible experience with A Cheap Body Shop! My 2007 Foose Stallion Mustang was hit leaving a parking lot and I thought it would be totaled for sure. They only made around 200 of these cars so I was nervous to lose it. I took it over to the shop and their owner Steve put me at ease. They were able to rebuild the custom front bumper and remake another body panel that wasn't a reproduction. They sourced and rebuilt parts and put her back together better than new. I do not typically leave negative reviews, but my experience here warrants one. I brought my Audi to Steve, the owner, after I accidentally ripped the shark-fin antenna off the car, damaging both the antenna and roof. I was clear about what I needed: make the roof watertight and restore the electronics affected by the damage. I relied on his expertise, and he assured me everything would work. Steve showed me a salvaged replacement antenna he had obtained for my car. When it apparently could not be used, the shop reinstalled my damaged original antenna without consulting me. The final bill then increased by more than 40%, with Steve explaining that the job required much more work than anticipated and that he was absorbing much of the additional cost. At pickup, only AM/FM worked. The SOS malfunction, Carplay, and other affected electronics remained broken. Steve then told me they lacked the equipment to properly diagnose the Audi electronics and suggested I take it to the dealership. Audi subsequently inspected the work and found the roof damage had not been repaired except touch up paint, my damaged antenna had been secured primarily with silicone and was still loose, and only 1 of 4 antenna connections was functional. Audi advised that I needed a new OEM antenna and still needed a body shop to properly complete the repair. What bothered me most was the follow-up. Steve had asked me to "stay in touch," but when I called with Audi's findings, the conversation became defensive and circular. I was left feeling as though I should have understood the technical limitations of the repair myself. I am not an body shop technician. That is why I hired a professional and relied on his expertise. If this job was beyond the shop's capabilities, it should have been declined or clearly communicated upfront. Steve later offered to install the new antenna I bought, but by then I was no longer comfortable returning the vehicle. I am essentially starting over with the repair. This simply should not have been a job the shop accepted. read more

Messed up the door of my beloved ML on a guard rail in a dark driveway and was heartbroken... I took it to a body shop who gave a quote that was crazy and they needed a new door and 14 business days of work to fix this 12 year old Mercedes. Had I called my insurance, they would have classified my car as a total loss for the price that was quoted. Finding great reviews here, I called Steve, who looked at it and promised to call around find the parts from local salvage yards and call me when he had gathered the items. As promised he called and I dropped the car on a Tuesday morning, he got the car back to me on Thursday looking practically new. All for a fraction of the price the chain body chop wanted. I had a few dings and a broken mirror assembly on my C class that was planning to give to my son as high school driver. I needed my front end re-attached to my Honda and Steve could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I came on short notice and the work was done in less an hour at a great price. Steve started giving me advice and helping me as soon as I called. I needed a new battery as well and he told me the best and cheapest way to go about it even though I was willing to pay him to install one. He answers calls and texts very fast and keeps in touch. I've used Cheap Body Shop three times in the past and had excellent outcomes all three times. Steve is very knowledgeable of the business and knows how to work with the insurance companies. He is very responsive and returns calls or texts in a timely manner. Customer Beware. Doing business with "A Cheap Body Shop" was a disappointing experience. My family vehicle came back to us incorrect and in a shoddy condition. We trusted the owner, Steve, to fix our family vehicle after my wife was in a car accident. We gave Steve three opportunities to restore our vehicle as promised. After the incorrect paint color was applied, other paint started to peel off, and other unsatisfactory work, we considered our trust in "A Cheap Body Shop" broken. We asked for our money back. Thereafter, the owner declined to give us our money back and became unprofessional, argumentative, and petulant in our attempts to reconcile. As a customer, I have never felt more disrespected, embarrassed, and hurt. We had to seek civil action to get our money back. Following a series of emails trying to workout the situation, we found that small claims court was our healthiest and most productive medium in dealing with Steve and avoid and further hostility. Having to deal with this issue during the Coronavirus pandemic and our pregnancy was an unnecessary added stressor. Fortunately, after a long, tedious process, the judge awarded our money back after hearing both sides of the story and looking at picture of our poorly done family vehicle. In Steve's bio on this yelp site he claims that he is not a body man that he is a business man. Throughout our experience, Steve showed us that he is definitely not a body man or a businessman. Steve, a businessman knows that the customer is always right. This is a consumer driven economy. We certainly learned a lesson. We should have read the other reviews of this business which could have prevented us from this experience and being a victim a bad practices. So disappointing to go from a car accident to the burden of not having a family vehicle only to have it returned to us is poor condition. read more

I cannot recommend this body shop enough! The left side of my car was completely damaged from a moving collision, a hit and run, and a stupid mistake on my part where I drove it into a wall. Steve and Paul were so wonderful and broke down all the prices and services that were needed and gave me the option of picking what I wanted to get fixed. Unlike other places that insisted that I would need to get my whole door replaced, Steve assured me that bodywork could be done to repair the damage rather than simply replacing it. After a week and a half, my car was good as new! It took a day longer than expected, but the quality of the work made the slight delay easy to overlook. I am so disappointed in the work that was done on my car. I needed a mirror replaced and it took them twice as long as they had said it would. On top of that it was a very sloppy job. I have posted a photo of what my good mirror looks like so you can compare. So I'm leaving the original post here but changing the 1 star vote to 3 stars because they fixed the problem. I had called back and complained about the job and they happily took my car in again and fixed the mirror the right way. I will say they are very friendly and willing to fix any issues. The only problem is I wish they had done it right in the first place so I could give them 5 stars! Great customer service though. Thank you for running an honest company. read more

This was my experience with Steve. Being unfamiliar with the auto industry, I feel like Steve treated me like family. He drove me to the rental car place, helped me decide on which rental car would be best for me and my baby, talked with me regarding conversations with my insurance company, gave my great intel and advice on both sides of the car repair options, he was always easy and quick to reach by phone, and him and one of his workers emptied my car and carried my things to another car for me, to make my life easier with having my baby in the car. update: steve admitted to using used parts after claiming to use new parts. he initially had my car for 2 months after the accident claiming he was waiting for the "new parts." as it turns out, he busted my suspension and the entire car is unaligned. bear in mind he had my car THREE times, each time giving it back messed up. I do all my own engine work (except oil changes because that's a waste of my time) but I have no idea how to do body work. I assumed body shops are out to bilk us out of my money, but I took a chance on sending them my black Ford Contour SVT that had smashed doors and bumper. These guys obviously aren't computer guys cuz they have a really lame website, but I'll say this: Apparently they're from the 50's when it was common to return items to the owner in better-than-new condition. I've never seen my car so beautiful--glossy black and impeccable--even better than when I bought the car used. The owner actually picked up my car, got his mechanic to get it running again, did whatever those body workers do, and then delivered it back to my house. Compared to the other estimates I got from dealers and another south Scottsdale body shop, he did all this for like 30% less. read more

BUYER BEWARE. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had working with anything car related. I had them paint and place a spoiler on a VERY expensive car. I took the spoiler to him in person and he gave me a quote. He then took possession of the spoiler and hours later called me demanding over an extra 1,000 after he already had it an inspected it. He almost doubled the quote. So if I didn't want to pay him I would have to drive 30 miles to pick it up, after he already gave me a quote. It gets worse. I have them paint and mount it. When I pick up the car I kid you not, there were two 3" x 1" areas that were not painted! This is a Lamborghini that now has a spoiler with missed areas of paint! It gets worse. Another worker then says to me "I can spray it real quick, will take me 20 minutes". Wtf. It gets worse. They bring the car around, I notice several deep scratches on the side of my lambo that weren't there before. It gets worse. He refuses to pay for me to have another shop fix it. Avoid like the plague! Ps- this guy is like a middle man who doesn't do the car himself, he pays another shop to actually do the work I believe Out front of his office he has a car parked that is half fixed and the other half is wrecked. The side that shows it as fixed has paint peeling, this should been the warning for me. read more

Heroic? Is that a good way to describe a body shop? I scraped the side of my car making the tight turn into my garage because I'm an idiot and wasn't paying close enough attention. It's a fairly old car and not worth a lot of money, but I couldn't live looking at a scrape down the side of it every time I would get into the car. I got an estimate from a body shop and holy cow did they want a lot of money. What they wanted was probably half of what the car was worth, plus I was going to have to wait 2 months to get the work done. So I took it to A Cheap Body Shop based on the great Yelp reviews and they were so great to deal with. Got the car fixed quickly and for a very reasonable amount of money. Truly heroic in my eyes.
