Red loop now missing a grommet.
    Patrick K.

Pros: + Able to repair get continued life out of your favorite gear. + Local! Most other shops would require shipping + Good quality stitching Cons: - Expensive. - Long lead time. - Rain Fly came back missing a grommet from one of the pole loops! How does that happen? Summary: Quality of the repairs was good, but given the cost, lead time, and the annoying hassle of now having to repair a missing grommet, I don't know if I would go back. My advice is to go to them only if it's a piece that you absolutely cannot replace or it's something very straightforward - like restringing DAC poles. Edit: After brining up the missing grommet, they fixed it no issues! Slight inconvenience of having to go back in, but mistakes happen and they made it right.

Amazing repair. Couldn't be happier! Found Rainy Pass Repair through a link on REI's website. Sent them a backpacking chair with a shredded seam at a weight-bearing point on the chair. Received the chair back in a timely manner for half the cost of replacement. Quality of the repair was amazing. Their work strengthened the seam beyond the original condition. Would use them again in a heartbeat!

Damaged product from Rainy Pass leaving their scissors in my tent!

Friendly staff, but their selection is a joke. Pretty much anything you ask for the reply is " We…read moredont have it in the store, but it's available online". Ok can I order online and ship to the store? Nope. See that would make too much sense. The wise advice was " Just call us ahead of time and we will tell you if we have it in stock". Hey I walked around your store, you have almost nothing in stock! I am not sure the retail concept is working for this location, but again it's the only one I have actually visited. Also add that online purchases usually have promos and the store has none. If the retail presence is to build brand awareness, yeah it's not working. Not only is this not an REI, it's also not a North Face retail store either, etc. I am not sure what you can find here.

Really disappointing experience with Backcountry…read more I bought an Anon Logan WaveCel helmet during their Semi-Annual Sale. The page heavily highlights "60% off" and the sale price, while the fact that the item is Final Sale is shown only in a small gray line underneath the size selection. I completely missed it when I purchased the helmet. When I later tried to return it because the fit did not work for me, I did not realized it was final sale at all. After the explanation from the female employee, I was thinking if I can still get an exchange or anything if that is possible, it also didn't work as well and all of the sudden the employee started to ask me "You don't know what final sale means?" Of course I know what "final sale" means. The issue is that the restriction was very easy to miss on the product page, and the employee's response came across as unnecessarily rude and condescending. I understand that Backcountry has a final-sale policy, but important return restrictions should be displayed much more prominently, especially on expensive gear where fit matters. The customer-service experience made the whole situation even more frustrating. I'll be much more likely to shop at REI or Evo in the future. I can guarantee you everything that happened is true and this the worst customer experience I have ever had.
