The first time I ever tried a Raising Cane's was back when we were still living in the "915" (IYKYK). At that time, I hadn't yet tried the famous Cane's sauce; mainly because my wife somehow convinced me it wasn't worth my time. She said she didn't care for it. I fail to see why. Because after trying some for the first time today, I can tell you their sauce could give Chick-Fil-A sauce a run for its money! It may look like thousand island dressing, but it tastes like a party in my mouth. Only wish I'd ordered more. Pro tip: if you're getting more than 3 strips of chicken, get extra sauce! Trust me on this one. Your palate will thank you later. Not only are the chicken strips big and meaty, their fries are even more sensational. Now, it's been a few years since I last got to enjoy one of my favorite fast food fries (whoa-try saying THAT fast 3 times) of all time. But these crinkled little fellas are better than I remember. Crisp on the outside and seasoned to the nines, this meal as a whole gets a 10. This location has a particular drive thru setup I've never seen at any of the other Cane's I've visited. In order to understand the configuration of their drive thru, I'll have to explain how their parking lot is orientated. There are actually two entrance/exit points leading into the parking lot; one before and one after you pass the Cane's building. Regardless of which entrance you use, each one does a giant U-turn leading back to a dual-lane drive thru. If you're doing curbside pickup (as I did), you simply drive past the drive thru entrance, pull up to the left side of the building if you're facing the street, and there you'll see the curbside pickup signs. This design is so clever, I'm shocked more restaurants haven't implemented this. It's made so that, even if you accidentally pass the RC sign, there's still an opportunity to use the second entrance. As you can imagine, we were so stoked when we first heard they were building one of these in Manchester. And now it's finally a reality! I don't usually stop at chain restaurants when I travel, but after a long day of flights and delays trying to get to Manchester, I needed something comforting. With only fifteen minutes to spare before closing, I pulled into the drive-thru fully expecting that, even if my food came out a little off, I'd be grateful just to eat. I've worked in quick service before, and those last-minute drive-thru guests can really disrupt the closing routine--so I hated being "that guy," but I was absolutely starving. Raising Cane's is one of my favorites back home, and getting it after such a rough travel day felt like a small gift. What made this stop truly stand out, though, was the staff. Even with ten minutes left before closing, they were cheerful, kind, and welcoming. If they were frustrated by my late-night arrival, they never showed it. Instead, I was greeted by a smiling team member who handed me hot, fresh chicken that absolutely hit the spot. Their attitude turned the end of my day around. I am set to report, that our last two visits to RC have not been good. The staff is always great and the restaurant itself is just fine to dine in. However, the chicken tenders have not been as tasty and well cooked as on our first visit. We may have to give up the restaurant and go to the nearby Popeyes. read more

Good evening. I was at Canes in Manchester when I was troubled with poor service. In the food service industry you should be serving customers in order of how they paid. After not being served, I thought my order was lost, forgotten, or skipped. So, we asked "where is (name)" and to that an employee with red hair ultimately stopped her feet, slammed food down, and responded extremely unprofessionally and unpleasantly. This is disappointing because I am a loyal Canes fan, after this, I went to Dave's to get fries that weren't available at Canes. She even thanked me for my patience, when she was actually not patient because she stomped her feet. read more

I was sad to see CJ's Great West Grill close up over a year ago on South Willow Street to make way for a new Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, which is the first location in New Hampshire. There are several other Raising Cane's in the region (MA) including the location at The Loop in Methuen, 25 minutes away. This new location is 10 minutes from my home and the pricing is currently lower in Manchester than at most of the other MA locations (except BU-Comm Ave & Seekonk). They had a soft opening this week for friends & family and the grand opening was today on March 11, 2025. This place has been hyped up on social media since there are already plenty of chicken places in Manchester, New Hampshire - proclaimed as the "Chicken Tender Capital of the World" including a few local OG chicken tender spots like the Puritan Backroom (invented chicken tenders), Goldenrod Drive-In, & Charlie's and chains like Dave's Hot Chicken (across the street) & Popeye's (several feet from this store). The lines here were long, including the dual drive thru lines with vehicles backed up into the main parking lot, and out onto South Willow Street through 3 traffic signals. The PD was directing traffic blocked off access through the CVS parking lot. A similar traffic situation happened 4 years ago when Popeyes (2 buildings down) had their grand opening period. There was police and staff directing traffic and staff managing the line in the restaurant. The busy dining area & lobby were open, so I decided to park in a shopping center with ample parking and walk over. There was the no line for walk-in customers around 5pm, but there was a walk-in long line forming out the door by 5:50pm. I placed my order in person since the online ordering on the Raising Cane's app was shut off for this location. It took about 13 minutes for my order to be all set. The dining room has ample high turnover seating in the cozy space with long communal tables & stools, table seating and booths, self serve drink station (Coke fountain drinks/ice tea-sweet & unsweetened), some community decor of Manchester on the walls. The place was of course extremely busy here. There is also an outside covered open air area. I ordered the popular Box Combo ($12.49 plus tax) which includes 4 chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, cole slaw, Texas toast, one Cane sauce cup, and a Medium Sweet 1Tea with crushed ice. The chicken tenders were very hot crisp outside and soft inside, as expected. The crinkle cut fries were salted & a bit soft but still tasty. The cole slaw was wet and had sweet and slight tart flavors. The Texas toast was soft and buttery. The Cane sauce is similar to zingy remoulade sauce. There is also an open air covered patio area outside the building where I enjoyed my Box Combo chicken fingers dinner with a bottomless iced sweet tea. As part of the grand opening, there was also a DJ blasting 2010s music in the parking lot, melting ice sculpture, and there was a selfie photo booth. Overall, this experience is 4.5 stars, similar to the other regional locations. The staff here was definitely prepared for the heavy site traffic and the large crowds of customers for grand opening day. I got my Raising Cane's Box Combo with a Sweet Tea, so this made my day once again! I didn't have to drive too far to this Raising Cane's, and the Methuen MA location is not much further either. My favorite chicken tenders in NH is still from Charlie's in Pinardville (Goffstown) and Raising Cane's chicken tenders are great with their Cane sauce. The staff here did a great job getting orders out. I will come back to the Manchester location once the newness wears off and I can go to Methuen with no long wait. read more

Decided to give this new joint in town a try today. Got the box combo which ran me about $13 and some change. This place has a weird entry way, which crowds up and bottle necks at the door. The registers inside have a very disorganized queue line, heck, there's no queue line and instead they have bench seats? Really strange, but finally got my order in and overall service was good and fast, there was an army of people standing around which makes it confusing for those who assume theyre at a register. Overall good value for what i paid for. Food isnt bad, sauce is decent. Chicken was yummy however very bland in terms of seasoning. I dont get the hype here at all... ....this seems pretty average to say the least and there are a ton of places in town with better chicken, e.g. The Puritan, Vintage to name two. There is nothing special that stands out with the menu. I believe people come here because its a big name company. People like Dave Portnoy advertising with his conveniently set up "Raising Canes" sign behind him while recording videos... it doesnt change the lack of flavor and limited menu. I absolutely love Raising Canes. The chicken is fresh, outside is just the right amount of crispness, the inside very juicy, and the sauce is amazing. The staff is very friendly. The only thing I wasn't aware of, because it never happened before is that if you order a 3 or 4 PC it only comes with 1 sauce. We wanted dinner. Takeout preferred. We remembered the new Raising Cane's in Manchester on South Willow. I guess they were in soft-opening phase as the drive-thru had people standing at the menu board with wireless tablets to take orders. If you haven't been, Cane only has chicken. No burgers and no desserts, no salads. Coca-Cola products. We had the Caniac Combo. It's the right size to split unless you're very hungry. It was very good! The breading on the fingers was light & fluffy, with the real (not pressed) breast meat tender and moist. Not at all dried out like when it's fried for too long or kept under heat lamps. They came with a proprietary dipping sauce that was mild but underwhelming. The fries were mini-crinkle cuts and, honestly, perfectly cooked & hot. The Cole slaw wasn't a winner. It was much too runny for my taste. I have to give special praise to the employees who were energetic and friendly. (It'll be management's prime challenge to maintain that environment). I really don't like to give bad reviews but I have to review the establishments good or bad. That's what reviews are all about. A short but not sweet review this time. I was very excited to try Raising Cane's for the first time, especially seeing it be built I couldn't wait for it to open. I decided to order online through their user friendly app. The restaurant was packed when I arrived for pickup, inside was very pleasing with a lot people but I grabbed my bags from the warmer and headed home. It's just a quick 9 minute drive home. Upon opening the bag, the food looked promising, the packaging was awesome looking but the reality was disappointing. The Texas Toast was ice cold, flavorless, and more like a toasted one-sided hotdog bun that was soggy. The French fries were cold, old frozen crinkle cut fries that lacked any freshness whatsoever. Then the star of the order were the chicken fingers although had great flavor they too were cold. I didn't even want to take the time to photograph the meal. The price of $20 per meal I expected far better. Very disappointed Unfortunately, this first experience missed the mark, and I won't be returning. Went there on a Saturday afternoon and ate inside. Food was delicious and customer service was friendly. I would have given 5 stars but the dining room was filthy. I sat at a table, leaned in to take my first bite, and sauce that was all over the edges of the dirty table got on my new shirt. If you eat here, just do take out.
