I assumed I bought chicken strips so it comes with one sauce. even cheap as McDonald's gives you a sauce with your chicken. I guess not, and instead of explaining why I have to pay they just stare at you. also you could save money by not putting one single sauce in a styrofoam to go container, what a waste. Sometimes their unsweeten tea tastes like someone mixed them up and just didn't take the time to fix it. The interior is well lit and the cleaning crew does a good job of keeping the tables clear and available for the throngs of customers during a lunch rush. The food rarely if ever takes very long and is generally of consistent quality. My only issue I have is that the cost of the meals is rather high for a chicken finger mean with their 6 piece combo being more than your local steakhouse chicken tender dinner meal. Overall if I am not in the mood to make them myself, then I come here, just it is half the cost to make 3# yourself than buy the meal, which is frustrating. read more

The chicken tenders were piping hot and super greasy tonight. I ended up blotting the tenders and got several napkins saturated with grease. I don't remember them being so greasy. The fries were basic crinkle cut fries and they were well seasoned. The bread was too soggy with butter this time around which was disappointing. Sure, I'll go ahead and review. There's not much to try here, you've got chicken strips, french fries, texas toast, the slaw, their canes sauce and the sandwich that has a different bun than the toast. I'm guilty of stopping by occasionally for a box combo. The fries to me, are subpar whereas the chicken strips, they do a pretty good job on. If you're going to specialize in an item, do it well and to me, they do. Personally, I'm confused by the texas toast but that is just because Canes was my first experience to whatever or wherever this type of "style" food originates (is that a thing? I don't know, texas?). My son loves the toast and is always happy to eat mine when I forget it comes with some of the combo options. I usually substitute the toast for an extra slaw. I'm always confused when they put a tiny little container of coleslaw in its own styrofoam box instead of in with the order, but I get that maybe its to help them ensure they've included it. It just seems wasteful to do it that way. The sauce is great, the chicken is usually pretty moist, but as I said subpar fries are usually also pretty moist. First, if the Canes Club Card qualifies you for a free box combo, and I ask for the same thing the same way, why was I charged for a Caniac combo? Not what I ordered at all and the girl ringing it up had no issue ignoring the fact that the combos were different. Second, my girlfriend went to get a refill (she is not Black), but when I asked for a refill, guys with the glasses and the beard, light skinned Mexican dude tells me "there is an upcharge". Not cool to upcharge men or people of color for company benefit. I told him to keep the cup and have a good day. If this location is suffering, make it be known so I can bring my business elsewhere. I've been going there since it opened but I will think twice before I return so I can be treated justly and fairly. Since then, we've ordered catering for my son's first birthday party and had countless takeout indulgences. Catering - we had a wonderful experience when ordering their bulk chicken tenders and I thought the price was so right! I called to place the order 2 days beforehand and they were hot and ready at 10:30 AM the morning of my son's birthday party! They also gave us a ton of individual Cane's dipping sauces to go along with the tenders, so everyone was happy. I would 100% recommend this for any gathering. Since quarantine, their drive thru lines have been pretty crazy but they never cease to be quick and friendly! I love their simple concept and you can't go wrong with their box meal. I order the same thing every single time I come here which is your 4 Piece Box combo with NO slaw and NO fries substitute bread for both. So basically it's 4 pieces of chicken, and 3 pieces of bread the 2 substituted and the 1 it already comes with. Jared, your front lobby cashier on duty, brought my bag to the counter. When I checked it I noticed that there were no fries and no slaw, but only two slices of bread I kindly brought this to Jared's attention and told him I needed one more slice of bread but instead he started to argue with me that supposedly I didn't "ring it in correctly." He pointed to the receipt on the bag that I have attached to this complaint and said see, "you did it wrong." I'm confused because if that were the case I would have fries in my bag then right? Like it clearly says, "no slaw sub toast no fries sub toast" on the receipt. So I'm not even sure what he is referring to and I just repeat myself again that Im missing a toast as he mumbles under his breath, "yea no shit." I said, "excuse me? You know what, can I just have my toast and I'll be gone." I didn't want to sit and argue with your employee about which way I ordered it because either way I still didn't receive the slaw or fries therefore I still paid for the bread (1) and (2) sides. Which I wanted to be all bread. He laughs and says ya I'll give it to you but I'm going to charge you for it since you did it wrong on the app. I already paid for it though? And he responds with, "and if you want another one you're going to pay again with an attitude of course." I'm blown away at this point, I just say, "can I speak with a manager?" Because clearly at this point either he is having a bad day or idk but I'm getting no where with him and his attitude over a SLICE OF BREAD is ridiculous. When I ask for the manager he then goes, "yeah but you're not going to get the bread from her without paying either." My mouth dropped. Is this really happening?! The Caniac combo hits every time! I usually like to swap out the cole slaw for extra toast since their bread is so good! The chicken is always nice and crispy. Their cane's sauce is also unlike anything I ever tried. The only thing that they could improve on in order to get my 5 star rating is stepping up their French fry game. This place has awesome chicken tenders and from my experience everytime I visit...they are cooked to perfection. The french fries are not greasy and the texas toast is delicious. If you arent into coleslaw, no worries, just ask to substitute it for anything else on the menu. The price is great and it will match your appetite. The service is very good and the staff keep it fun, quick and clean. It would be nice to get lemonade refills but the sweet tea is awesome too it has unlimited refills. The restroom needs better attention and the parking and drive thru set up is concerning...some drivers are more distracted than others. !!Look out!! All in all an awesome place! read more
