Owner was very nice, and we ordered directly from the kiosk to make it quick for them. When first opening the box I was confused and thought I got thighs even though I ordered drum sticks. The chicken was super crunchy with lots of breading...definitely tasty. Only downside was it was DRENCHED in sauce. Flavor was good, but next time I'll get it on the side. The kids loved it, so that's a win. Couple hiccups: no timeframe was given when we called in, and when we showed up (30+ minutes later) the order still wasn't ready. Also felt a little overpriced for what we got. All that said, the food was good enough that we'll be back. One of the better Korean Fried Chicken restaurants I've been to. I ordered a Rice Bowl with Gold King Chicken and Classic Fried Chicken tenders. The Gold King chicken was good, but a little sweeter than I thought it would be. Rice was fresh. I liked the bowl and will try with a different variety of chicken next time. I really enjoyed the fried chicken tenders though. Had a great taste, weren't greasy, and tasted fresh. I'm looking forward to trying the drumsticks in this flavor next time. Service was pleasant. Friendly BHC in Rancho Bernardo. The family running it is sweet, and came out to provide us gloves when they saw we were eating outside their shop in the plaza. The interior of the shop is minimalistically decorated, brightly lit, and welcoming. I enjoy their classic fried tenders. As many others had said, it's moist and tender on the inside - combined with the crispy outside - Mmmmhmm! My parents who visited liked this place a lot and like the classic sandwich. BHC Chicken is located in a small enclave of fast/casual dining shops in the main shopping center of Rancho Bernardo with a large, nicely shared dining/patio area. We paid $17 for a combo of 4 chicken tenders with 'classic' flavor, 4 cheese balls, and canned Diet Coke. This sounds weird, but the Diet Coke was inconsequential and got lost from the amazing chicken and cheese balls! Having not tried BHC Chicken before went with a safe classic flavor/coating. The coating was light and crispy, juicy and tender, and not oily or heavy in any way. The chicken itself came across as fresh and not the texture many establishments have that make it appear as a homogenous piece of chicken meat. It was just plain good and refreshing. The coating while I don't think it's panko, it's very light and crispy. I can't wait to go back and try other coatings/flavors. Oh my gosh . . . the 'cheese balls' sound so simple and plain. They are anything but plain! Super crispy on the outside, soft and gooey/cheesy on the inside with the slightest hint of sweet. I'm diabetic so I'm sensitive to sweet, but it was so faint I didn't worry I was overdoing it, especially with the light coating on the cheese balls and chicken. BHC's tteokbokki is actually the least spicy one I've ever had. I'd rate it about a 5 to 6 on a 1-10 spicy scale. (For reference: 7 = a little warm with some tongue tingling, 8 = slight pain, 9 = tears, 10 = tears and fire coming out of your ears ). The flavor was really good, but just a heads up; the portion size is smaller compared to some other spots. Service was quick though. I got my order in about 5-10 minutes. Since some reviews mentioned the chicken tenders, I got that and original wings (both spicy and regular). The meat was juicy, tender and flavorful, more so than other kfc places imo. The batter wasn't too thick, though there were little wavy crisp pieces all over I found an odd texture. The spicy original wings were the best and tenders were good but not as good as the wings. Came during lunch time on a Monday. It was empty. Ordered 8 wings which came out to about $19.change. When I opened the box I noticed they gave me like 12 wings. I was stoked. I love my Korean fried chicken and I had high expectations for this place but it fell a little short. The bburinkle wings were crispy and tasty but slightly over seasoned. How do I explain the taste... think of it as cheesy dried seasoning that reminds me slightly of ramen seasoning powder. The matcho king was disappointing. It was over battered and not the crispy breading but felt soggy and overall definitely a big no for me. I would love to try the place again and see if the other options are better because I did love the wings. I've been waiting for them to open and would check every time I come out of the gym at BXNG club. Not the best post workout meal but we wanted a closer more convenient option than in PQ. There is a self order kiosk in addition to being able to order in person, no tables and just a small bench to site and wait inside. They offer wings, drumsticks only or thighs only, other Korean plates, sides, fries, salad, sandwhiches, and more. I was bummed that you can't split a 16pc order into half classic half spicy and was told you'd have to order 8+8 which is of course a couple bucks more. The classic still has a hint of spice so just FYI for the kiddos. We also got the mozarella cheese balls which were delicious and were slightly sweet. The wings came out in 15min which i was notified of after ordering. The chicken was ok, there is a lot of breading and I ended up taking a lot of the big chunks off. I'd drop by again for a quick snack and get the cheese balls but I prefer the breading and chicken flavor at Rice Chicken. Plus they also have daily specials which this place doesn't. read more

Happy and hopeful when I heard BHC was coming to Rancho Bernardo. So far, so good. The staff are very nice, courteous, very helpful and make the process very pleasant. The chicken is super crispy on the outside and moist and tender inside, tasted great. We've tried a couple of dipping sauces so far and liked them both. Regarding the Matcho King flavor: It is really super tasty, but just so you aren't suprised, It is not a crispy fried chicken experience. The chicken is heavily sauced after frying, so if you want crisp, this one is not for you. But if you want a ton of saucy flavor it might be just what you're looking for. :) Finger licking good. They have quite a few other options aside from just fried chicken. In particular they have a lunch combo that is four wings, japchae (a Korean noodle & vegetable salad) and rice that is a nice option. We pay $1 additional to skip the rice and get more japchae. The japchae could use a few more vegetables but it is seasoned nicely. Definitely worth a try...we've already been back. read more

Great food (classic sandwich), but terrible ordering experience. Walked in and ordered on the kiosk, started to wait, but heard from others inside that they had been waiting for ~1.5 hours. Unsatisfactory explanation from the employees as to the delay (unexpected volume backing up the kitchen), and to make matters worse, they were unable to tell anyone when their food would actually be ready: others returned to the restaurant after ordering 1 hour prior on the employees' estimate, only to be told their food would take an additional hour. The online order system was also inaccurate. When I got home and tried to order something to test the website, it said the food would be ready in 20 minutes. After hearing about the delay from others in the restaurant, I opted to get a full refund and take the only item (classic sandwich) that was ready in a reasonable time. Kitchen backup isn't the employees' fault, but the right thing to do would have been to make the wait time clear before I ordered and not overpromise completion. They also need to take a look at the online order time estimate and consider not accepting orders if the kitchen is truly overburdened.
