This is a small restaurant inside a hotel near the airport. Between the size and the decor, which includes brightly colored drapes hanging from the ceiling down the window walls, it feels pretty cramped. The booth we sat in was extremely uncomfortable with very deep seat benches that sat low to the table. I felt like a child at the adults table. Food was fine, but nothing spectacular. Based on the description, we aren't sure we received the same chicken dish we ordered. It did have some spice to it, but the main issue is that it was all bone in and cut such that the pieces were not fully identifiable and mostly bone so very difficult to eat. Our paneer masala was good, however contained maybe 7 paneer cubes. Same for the butter chicken, which is our other go to dish but this one we didn't like as much. Service was initially good, maybe even a little over attentive. However, we were given 2 out of 4 dirty plates and a third was chipped (which grows bacteria). After we're served our food, we no longer received water refills, which we really needed due to the spice on the chicken. read more

We had chicken masala, naan bread and fried rice which were all tasty and good. I would dine again, if I ever go back to the Clarion hotel. Cute little Indian joint inside the Clarion hotel. I shared a few curries with my fella and they were all good. The lamb curry was my favorite. We paired our medium spice curries with some cold beer. The service was friendly and we didn't feel rushed. It isn't far off the interstate and they stay open until 10:30. read more

If you're staying in SLC hotel city, this place inside the Clarion is really close and open fairly late (compared to my Vancouver neighborhood). The service is friendly and the food comes out quick. If you want to see the menu and pricing just use the ordering feature within Yelp. It's pretty true to the menu onsite. I was staying at the Tru and the agent that checked me in said just about everyone delivers so that's an option if you have the time, but seriously it's so close by! It may have been more reliable to order online, but I was distracted by work I needed to do tonight so I ordered palak paneer, plain naan and vegetable samosas at the restaurant. They assumed medium spice which was a little much for me. The naan was burned. The samosas were extremely greasy so I ended up peeling most of the wrapper off and just eating what I could get of the well-seasoned interior. As I said, medium spice was a bit much and overpowered the overall taste of the curry so I don't know if it was salty or spicy but that was what my palate decided. Located inside the Clarion Inn, Rajwadi Pointe is the perfect place to grab some delicious Indian food. They recently started serving a lunch buffet, and I made it just in time to sit down and eat before they closed at 2:30pm. The staff are all super friendly and were very attentive. The lunch buffet spread included dishes like butter chicken, chicken curry, palak paneer, vegetable samosas, raita, mix pickle, and both mint and tamarind chutney. There were also two kinds of naan to choose from. Everything was absolutely delicious. My favorites were definitely the palak paneer and vegetables samosas dipped in tamarind chutney. My only complaint was that I found the booths to be far too squishy and not supportive so they weren't very comfortable. Otherwise, I had a great experience and will definitely come back the next time I'm in Salt Lake City. read more

This place was the best find. Had to stay an extra night SLC. So I decided to make it easy and stay close to airport. I am a hilton guy so I booked the TRU. The area looked horrible for restaurant choices. Then I found this place hidden inside the Clarion hotel adjacent to another restaurant/full bar also inside the Clarion. The food here is legit good. I live in San Diego and it is right up there with authentic Indian restaurants in Southern California. Service was great and could not be happier with my choice to eat here. I found out there is a Hampton Inn next to this place. Next time I will stay there since it was next to this place. Given the choices in the area, this was hands down the best decision I could have made. read more

Visiting Salt Lake City, Utah this week. I was pretty hungry by the time I got to the hotel so I used by trusty Yelp app to locate vegan food nearby. Decided to try Rajwadi Pointe. The delivery person was right on time as promised! Excellent service! I ordered their Dal Bulhara & a side of Vegetable Samosa along with the Butter Naan. I have three words to describe their food: yummy, yummy, yummy! (So sorry I forgot to take pictures of the food. I couldn't wait to dig in) The Dal Bulhara was a new dish to me & I must say I wasn't disappointed at all. It was well seasoned; still a little spicy but it really, really tasted good with the basmati rice. And the Vegetable Samosa...whoo hoo! I'll prob'ly order that alone on the daily! It was perfect! Yummy-delish on the inside; perfectly baked on the outside. Oooh...I got three more words to describe the yummyness: Mmm mmm good! Oh yeah, that Butter Naan was buttery for real. This was a totally enjoyable meal. Well done Rajwadi Pointe! Kudos to the chef! Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my take out. My go-to is always butter chicken. I give it a 3 because the Naan was good and the chicken was cooked properly. Well I really was hoping that my experience here would be good. I frequently stay in one of the nearby hotels while on business travel. Sadly i was extremely disappointed. I visited here for dinner and found the place was completely empty. The waiter was also doubling as the Host and was anxious to get my order in asap. The Chicken Tiki Masala was average and overly mild. The portions were good and the garlic nan tasty. Unfortunately once the food was served the waiter began pressuring me to finish. Once i had finished my food i was sipping my beer and was promptly presented the Point of Sale machine. I paid and he instantly disappeared, leaving me sitting with a pile of dirty dishes. Nice touch. To add insult to injury, a bartender appeared from the pub next door and told me i owed them money for the beer. I posted on another site because I thought it was this restaurant I mentioned that I thought the menu lacked enough selections. I ordered the chicken tiki masala and the chicken was kinda rubbery. I was mostly dark meat. I was hoping I could two meals out if what I ordered but I was barely enough for one and a half. I travel for work every week like to try different styles of Indian cooking. So I order chicken biryani and veggie pakora's at Rajwadi pointe. Horrible taste chicken smelled and it was old and hard. Rice was not cooked and biryani tasted like tomato sauce. Pakora's were burned. Ughh horrible food no wonder no one was in the restaurant. Need to know what Indian food actually taste like before you open a restaurant. I feel like all these good reviews are probably relatives. read more

Delicious food! There is a large menu with quite a few vegetarian dishes. We had naan w cucumber raita, vegetarian biryani and a veggie curry.
