I ordered 4 pies and two were gifts so I asked for two extra bags. She answered in an annoyed way that they're $.25 each. No problem I said and paid for them. This extra one minute really seemed to have bothered her and it's terrible that she made me feel unvalued in such a short amount of time. She seemed to be eager to help the party behind me, which is great but she had no finesse in her customer service. I believe she could've made my experience completely different and still acknowledge the people after me. She made it seem as if I'm less important of a customer than they were. She also didn't bag my 4th pie which was awkward because she gave me the bags there. I'll be back but I won't be in a hurry like I was before. These small personal nuances are what makes small businesses great. When you're client facing it's so important to know this. It doesn't take much to be kind or provide great service.

On my recent visit, I was inspired my a Yelp Elite Event at Belly Barbecue in Folsom. On a previous visit, I picked up some tri-tip... just an awesome tip *do not buy the untrimmed tri-tip. It may even be at a lower price, but there is honestly there is so much fat to take off of it, if you like to trim your meat, you will be disappointed with the end result. Just buy the trimmed meat. They're bigger, too! On this visit, I picked up pork spare ribs at the good price of $5 for every 2 pounds. The rack comes out to around $9-$13+. Some of them are frozen, but that's ok. So be sure to plan ahead when buying these. Next, I decided on what sides I wanted with this bbq tray I was inspired to make. I decided on the loose bulk green beans. I grabbed a red onion to add to them and I have the garlic at home. Who doesn't like tri-colored pasta?? Well shame on you if you don't!! While I'm the produce section, I grabbed cherry tomatoes. I usually stick with the Briella brand of tri-colored noodles. A Best Foods mayo that was on sale for $3.50 each (there was a limit of 2). I also got the black olives and artichoke hearts in the same aisle. Don't forget to pick up Wishbone's Italian dressing.. it just goes best with this pasta salad. Onto dairy!! I like to add pepper jack and medium cheddar cheeses.. cubed.. and finally, my secret ingredient... Mrs. Dash! Shhhhh! Since I cook and bake by taste, I couldn't give you any exact measurements, but trust the process and experiment and taste as you go... I was helped today by Terri. I have had quite a few amazing conversations with Terri, who also loves to cook. He is always smiling when I see him. He has picked things off the top shelf for me, walked out with me to load up my groceries.. a true honest hard worker here at Safeway. Be sure to tell him hello if you get a chance! We didn't want to drag ice cream and cold fruits up from the valley and have everything melt and get warm so this was the perfect stop. This store looks pretty new. It's pretty much like all the other Safeway which is our main go to supermarket. We got the ice cream and cherries we were bringing to the potluck and then we were on our way. The parking lot is plenty big, shared with a Famous Footwear on one side and a Ross store on the other, so no problem finding spots. All in all, a well kept and spacious store with plenty of stock and fairly friendly staff. Probably a local favorite for stocking up in more hazardous weather condition seasons without having to go all the way down to Rocklin for Costco.

I also picked up the buns, Velveeta, a tomato, and Kinders mild BBQ sauce for that touch of tang. The man at the check out counter is always so friendly. He has given me great advice and I look forward to our conversations when I get to check out. Every one of my whole store experiences here is always so friendly. (Even after the meat dept closes, and the butcher is cleaning up, she still comes out to ask if I needed any help while I am trying to decide on dinner.) I used the Dukes mayo I had at home to toast my buns first. Then I shaped my hamburger meat into patties. The meat was fresh and soft. I only use salt & pepper. After cooking the meat and adding a thin slice of cheese, I started building my peanut butter cheeseburger. Thin layer of Dukes mayo, slice tomato, burger patty, and cheese. Under the top bun, I put on the chunky peanut butter with a good amount of drizzled Kinders mild BBQ. This one of a kind peanut butter cheeseburger was made possible with the tasty ingredients I bought from Save Mart. With meat cooked exactly the way I wanted it, BECAUSE of the freshness of Save Mart... it turned into the best peanut butter burger I have ever created

It doesn't have a category that says what time do employees check in or check out. Very disappointed SaveFart but not surprised. Customer 1st service is loooong gone these days.

I've been shopping at this Raley's for nearly 10 years and have never reviewed the store. The level of service these folks provide is above my expectations. From the meat department (they know my husband's favorite seasonings ~ I don't even need to speak when I step up to the counter) to the deli to the sushi bar and Peet's coffee (the barista's know my drink) ~ everyone I encounter is friendly and helpful. It's a good feeling to walk in and recognize most of the employees. Thank you Raley's ~ you are all amazing! read more

Alright, time for an update!…read more Costco still remains a daunting, unfriendly and very troubling place for me. It's American mass consumerism at its prime and worst. I need to go when the fewest people are there, otherwise it feels like a horror movie... all those people running around with multiple carts overfilled with stuff, some actually frantic. Besides who really needs six jars of super sized mayonnaise unless you have a family of twelve or more? However, there are some redeeming factors to shopping here, and possibly getting a good deal. This still remains the ONLY Costco in the area I'll visit for otherwise being run over by a crazed shopper with a full pallet of merchandise. So. Some great finds- We got two new good quality camping chairs for the outdoor concerts we attend at a rock bottom price! Woo hoo! Then I found a large container, yet still manageable, of my favorite snack treat, Aussie Bites, at a great price. Please don't buy them out!!! The maple syrup is good quality and less expensive than anywhere. The paper goods can also be a very good deal. Just have a big storage space for a gazillion rolls of toilet paper. They were unfortunately out, or no longer carrying, two other favorites, the top sirloin hamburgers and the Korean dumplings (an easy and quick, delicious treat). I recommend perusing the aisles as one never knows what really interesting product or bargain is lurking in the depths of this monster store. Oh, and if you want a ginormous TV that will never fit anywhere or a casket, just in case, they have those too. Plus, it's fun to count how many giant SUVs are parked in compact parking spaces to be as close to the front door as possible! After all, there's enough walking inside! You do need a membership to enter.

They say Costco on them but they run through Electrify America, and they are F-A-S-T. I got up to 230 miles (80% ish for me) in 10 minutes from nearly dead quickly after I shopped. The crowd has usually been lighter than other Costco locations, which makes getting in and out easier. I think part of that is the location. Sierra College Boulevard does not have a huge commercial strip or much dense housing beyond the two nearby shopping centers and small neighborhoods, so the store feels calmer than the bigger warehouses. If you like Costco but not the chaos, this location has been the one I keep coming back to.
