The cutest pink, heart-shaped double layer cake and macaroon favors.

I am so grateful for the Raley's Bakery Department on Tully Rd in Modesto, Ca. I want to give a special shoutout to Vanessa and Christina who helped me with this special baby shower cake order, and Marlene who made the cutest and most delicious cake I could have ever asked for! Vanessa helped bring my vision of the kind of cake I was imagining to life and carefully wrote all the details down for Marlene to work her magic!! Everything was perfect and these ladies were so patient, helpful, professional, kind and TALENTED. They take pride in their craft and are so humble at the same time! They deserve all praise and recognition for the wonderful work that they do. Also I appreciate the nice, clean atmosphere that they maintain in the bakery department. Thank you again ladies!

$1.00 off ground turkey is fine but I was here on 8/12/24. Notice the date! It says use or freeze by 8/11/24 This is considered expired in my book. Save mart already got fined for expired foods. Is Raley's next? Let's pay attention and watch your expiration dates. Nobody wants to get sick.

Just updating my review because Jolie deserves recognition. She's the sweetest, loveliest cashier. I regularly shop here and had to add the 5th star because of her.

    Brownies

One of the best brownies I have ever eaten, soft and chewy on the inside and just hard enough on the outside. I would say these brownies are just as good or better than Starbucks, plus the price for 1 brownie is $4 while you get 6 for $4 at Raley's. I want to thank the bakers for making me and family such yummy treats and desserts. You do such an amazing job, I would go to Raley's just to buy your brownies!!!!!

a birthday cake with sprinkles and candles
    Brian G.

I ordered a birthday cake at Raley's bakery on Floyd Ave. I asked for some sprinkles, no filling and Happy Birthday Dad. Days later, when they showed me the cake, I noticed it was completely covered in sprinkles with no empty spaces. I thought it was odd but not worth worrying about. Later, when I set the cake in front of my dad, I noticed that there were plastic strips on top of the cake and realized that they had written Happy Birthday Dad on the clear plastic strips, because there were so many sprinkles and no where to write! I merely asked for some sprinkles, not the measles! Also, the cake had chocolate filing in the center, which again wasn't what I had ordered. We all laughed it off, but later my dad told me that he felt insulted. When Raley's showed me the cake, they put it in a white box with clear plastic windows on each side with handles on top, so I couldn't see the top of the cake. After the debacle, I knew why they had purposefully given me that specific box. About a week later, I stopped by to let them know how I felt and that after 10 years I'll no longer buy cakes from them ever again. The lady who manages the bakery got a little defensive and said that they put plastic on all of their cakes. And the lady behind her glared at me, obviously upset. I'll stop by the store to get a few things if I'm in the area but I'm never stepping inside their bakery again.

The inside is old school food place with photos of nostalgia of the country. Flow: You can call in and pick up for fast service or drop in and wait to be seated. It could be a long wait or it could be fast depending on the line. The service is fast though. They don't dilly dally and waste your time. If you are going to dine in you need to go to the counter and put your name in. Food: Leo Camarillo- You can order with pastrami, roast beef or both. (Not half and half) Lots of cheese and sautéed mushrooms. If you're not a mushroom fan just skip. This is so delicious I have been thinking about it ever since we got it. My wife doesn't like mushrooms and she still ate with the shrooms on. We ordered pastrami only. No ragrats! French Dip- My kids ate both halves and didn't even hook it up with a bite! It was juicy and the dip was perfect. Always add the cheese. The Italian- Loved the Italian. It had a lot of meats on it and the veggies were fresh. Topped with an Italian dressing. Salads- Pesto salad was my favorite. Excellent flavor. No heartburn. Spaghetti salad was the sleeper. Very unsuspecting. I thought it was going to be cold spaghetti sauce but it was tomato's and Italian dressing/seasoning. Potato salad was ok. We added pepper and salt. We ordered 3 sandwiches for 4 people and came home with an untouched half because there was so much food. Bill was less than $60 for all the food and the soft drinks. Will definitely be a frequent haunt now.

We had to regroup and were headed to another place when we got a call back from The Fruityard stating that they had our reservation down under a different name because it was written down wrong and could not be deciphered. Matt was very rude to us at the beginning when we checked in a very condescending tone. He should definitely not be THR person who greets guests when they check in as his demeanor is deplorable! What saved the day for us was our server, Shelley, whose constant attention and sense of humor were fantastic! Her menu suggestions were all spot on, our water glasses never got under half full and she brought smiles to all of our faces. We all enjoyed our menu choices, and the salad bar was fantastic as always!

I don't like clam chowder, but since it was Friday, that is all they had. So, I got it for my son. I really wish restaurants would serve more than one type of soup on Friday, if they're going to have clam chowder, as it is my least favorite. The lasagna was delicious, however, I thought the price was very high, and they charged me a fee for a to go order: $1.50. For a total of $27.50!! Not a bargain. They were packed. The parking lot and inside the restaurant were full! It was a Friday night. They gave me my order pretty fast, and the hostess was friendly. The ambiance is beautiful outside. They have ducks, hens, and roosters running free. I love to feed the birds, it is my favorite part of going to The Fruit Yard.

The sandwiches are just on my top 3 list they have soooo many options and are delicious but as I am a creature of habit I get the Spiffy Tiffy every time which consists of pesto, provolone, mushroom, avocado and pepper jack cheese, and their their halal chicken (this is what sets them apart from the other sandwich spots with a chicken option) it is SO good. I don't care for mushrooms but I will get the avocado on a little sometimes. It's a lot of goodness going on. The servers are extremely friendly, and always let you know nicely when your sandwhich is ready they don't just yell your name out even if it gets busy lol Everything is also very clean and sanitary with clean fountain soda areas and tables wiped down. I prefer this location over a lot of other locations because it is very spacious, it's self seating after you order your sandwich and the booths are nice. Some of the ones in the Bay Area there's absolutely nowhere to sit and the lines waaay out the door! So this location is a luxury! I even found one in Vegas off the strip and now one of my best friends is obsessed. Yes it's that good!! You absolutely have to try this, and any sandwhich with their Halal chicken! 10/10!

Classy grocer!…read more O'Brien's Market is definitely a high-end local grocery store. They offer a wide variety of "typical" grocery store items as well as some more artisanal products as well. They have a nice bakery, hot food section, deli, salad bar, wine bar, and meat/fish counter. There is a huge gourmet cheese selection - literally any cheese you may want (cow's milk, goat, sheep) from nearly any country, they seem to have it! They often offer samples (if I remember correctly, if you want to try a particular cheese, they will give you a sample of it)! There are soups, sandwiches, salads, and other hot foods like mac n cheese. The quality of the meats is great! Everything is very fresh and well-maintained. The produce is very fresh too! Although many of these products are higher-priced, their other grocery items (i.e. canned/boxed/bottled/frozen foods) are much surprisingly cheaper than other grocery stores. The store is consistently clean and organized. The store hasn't been updated/remodeled but it still has a timeless design that looks very neat. The staff members are very friendly and will quickly help you whenever needed. The store is never busy and you will rarely have to wait in line.
