Have you seen their hamburgers and fries? 6 inches tall, with a big basket of fries. They are expanding their space, which tells you a lot. Many places couldn't even survive the pandemic. The menu is varied, including a dish of Mac and cheese that's bigger than your head. I enjoyed the Szechwan bowl with quinoa (slight upcharge) and it was one of the great lunches of my life. Rally5 is a great local Fort Collins restaurant. Due to COVID, they are offering takeout and the process was super smooth, quick and easy. I ordered online and scheduled the delivery in advance. When we got there, we parked in one of the numbered spots, called the number and our food was out in under a minute. I ordered the Chicken Fajita Bowl which had Grilled Redbird chicken breast, black bean salad, fresh guacamole, sauteed peppers & onions, cheddar cheese, salsa, & chipotle ranch. It was over 1/2 rice and 1/2 cauliflower rice. I loved that I could split the rice with cauliflower rice to add more veggies to my meal. Everything was so flavorful, but I loved the black bean salad on top. This meal was huge and could easily be two dinners. We also ordered chips and guac and queso which were great as well. I try and stay away from this whole strip mall since the parking lot is so screwed up and dangerous to even walk in half the time, but wanted to check this place out for awhile. My wife and I stopped in on a Monday early afternoon. There are a couple tables inside plus a great patio option. Friendly staff and clean establishment. The waitress said they were known for their burgers, so decided to jump off my normal tacos and go with the burger. I did the Rally 5 Burger with smashed cheese curds that weren't really smashed and weren't that warm. I asked for the burger medium and it came well done which is not my way to have a good burger. I had to order extra house sauce, due to them not having any sauce on it and no condiments. I was less than impressed, but may give them another shot. read more

This rating is for service only. My server Hunter was quick taking my order for a drink but disappeared after that. I finished my beer, another waitress walking by grabbed my empty glass without saying a word. I sat and waited and finally after about 15 minutes or more Hunter came by to check on me. We went here because I'd read that they are very aware are knowledgeable about celiac. We had a very... different... experience than what I'd read unfortunately. Our server was extremely uncertain about things and about what was celiac safe. She was nice enough to go back to the kitchen and ask questions but the experience was pretty unnerving due to her uncertainty and misinformation. At one point after checking with the kitchen, she said "we have a dedicated gf fryer tonight". The word "tonight" perplexed us. I mean... Is it sometimes gf but not always? The restaurant also has a very strange setup - it's in 2 separate buildings that are separated by a pathway outside. It seems like an awful setup for the servers, especially in bad weather! We asked to be seated on the patio tonight. Then proceeded to wait over 10 minutes with no one even acknowledging our presence. Decided to leave and it still seems like no one knew we were there. This is not a place I would normally try out. It's not near anywhere I usually shop, but it was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad we tried it! I got the pulled pork green chili sandwich with fries and my husband got the jalapeño popper burger. I would have skipped the cheese curds on his burger (for texture and height of the sandwich) but it was fabulous all together. I forgot to snap photos before we started eating because we were so hungry! Iced tea was fresh brewed and plentiful (which is a big deal for me). Friendly servers and fun atmosphere. This is easily one of our favorite (if not our favorite) restaurants in town. I love the renovations! Their burgers are so good, and I love the fried cauliflower. I think my partner and I have eaten dozens of different things on the menu, and everything has been delicious. The restaurant is particularly accommodating for kids. Any time we ask our kids where they want to eat, they choose Rally5. They love that they get a slushy and mandarin oranges with their meal. And the restaurant doesn't skimp on oranges. It's really smart of them because it makes us come back again and again because happy kids make for an enjoyable meal for everyone. Lastly, the wait staff is incredible. We called ahead to make sure we were able to order so late. For us it was late, 8:30 pm as I have worked in the restaurant industry before and like to be courteous. I am in town for a month visiting the CSU Vet hospital and this place is right down the street from my hotel, so I gave it a try. It looked like a casual eatery in a the well appointed Villagio strip mall. I could tell it wasn't a corporate chain, and that's my new mantra since Covid. The staff is genuinely friendly and greet you with a smile! The seating is nice and everything feels so festive. They have quite the cocktail menu if you're looking for something exciting to drink over appetizers with friends on their large outdoor patio. Oh, and my doggie is welcome too! Currently they are featuring a 'Pineapple menu' with everything from pineapple guacamole to tacos, and pineapple upside down cake. I loved this concept, and apparently they've had a peach menu in the past. I decided to have the Southwest salad which was delicious! Very fresh greens and veggies, locally sourced fresh organic chicken and the scratch made dressings are to die for! It's obvious they care about freshness and flavors, everything is local too. I opted for a bowl of Pork Green Chile to go since it's a must have dish is Colorado. I ended up going back for more a couple days later. It's a simple, casual menu but expertly prepared. So, I am from Oregon, land of craft beer and cider, so I am biased right up front. We needed a snack before driving 3 hours, so we found this place, and it had pretty good reviews, so we decided to try it. Very quiet, but it's the night before Thanksgiving, so we appreciated being the only patrons in the bar. We were greeted by the manager, provided menus, and the server showed up quickly. She recommended some drinks and food, and we ordered. We ordered the cauliflower with chili sauce app. It was good, but not fantastic. I was really surprised that they had no ciders on tap and only one cider choice in a can. Odd, but maybe the craft cider thing hasn't reached Colorado yet. Drinks were good but not spectacular. Not made with fresh juice, but still tasty. Positives: the buffalo chili queso app was amazing, even though the chips were underwhelming. Definitely recommend the chili. Really tasty. Additionally, the server was kind, knowledgeable, and quick. It wasn't perfect, but it was good. We would definitely come back. Our server was really great. read more

Good food, kind of pricey for what you receive. Service is good but takes a long time

Food was OK and prices are pretty high. They posted signs about a 4% surcharge to be able to pay their staff a living wage. I think that's good, but I'm comparing prices to the taste. I did choose a vegetarian option and unfortunately many restaurants haven't realized that vegetarian and vegan options opens up dining to a large and growing audience, so veg meals are an afterthought. My husband had a meat dish and had the same feedback though. They are under construction now. Looks like they are adding or switching buildings. read more

I had the Buffalo Mac N Cheese and I'm a Mac N Cheese fanatic, it was absolutely delicious! My friend had the Tiki Teriyaki burger and he too said it was very satisfying! We tried the new Rally 5 Street Eats. The restaurant is bright and colorful, even on a rainy afternoon. We didn't love the pork, sweet potato tots appetizer. The BBQ sauce was spread on top and was so sweet that it overpowered the appetizer. The tacos were flavorful, but the chicken taco was hard to eat as it had lots of oily sauce dripping from it. Maybe this was from the fried cheese on the outside or the sauce from the inside. A fork was a good solution. The hamburger was good, but my dinner guest thought it seemed a bit dried out. This was a great place. Atmosphere like sports bar but the food was above bar food. The philly dog was big and loaded with toppings. The Mac an cheese was good and complimented the philly dog. Smoothies were done nicely and the fish sandwich was lightly breaded and you could actually taste the fish and not breading. Price was the same as any where else selling similar food. The fries were good qaliI will be returning with more family and friends. I returned about two months later and they didn't have my favorite on the new menu but was able to make it for me without any hassle or complaint. We ordered delivery through NoCo nosh. My husband and I both had burgers, he the jalapeño popper burger on a gluten-free bun, and me the same but on cauliflower. The food arrived tepid and soggy. The cheese curds I had as a side were nearly cold and unappetizingly congealed. My husbands French fries were soft and tasteless. I don't know if we can blame the restaurant for that, perhaps the delivery driver arrived late. However, even quickly reheated in the microwave, the food we received from Rally 5 was...not good. I am willing to give some leeway to restaurants in these difficult times, but honestly, this is not the first not-so-great meal I've had at this restaurant, and tonight's was spectacularly not-so-great. I'm not sure how they cook their burgers, but my patty seemed pre-frozen and maybe steamed or even microwaved? It definitely wasn't grilled or pan-fried from what I could tell (of course, as I said, it was tepid when it arrived). I'll say this though: tepid ground beef topped with previously melted, now solidified cheddar cheese and sour cream over room temperature, unseasoned sulfurous cauliflower with a side of cold cheese curds did not make for an appetizing Labor Day meal. Oh, and as for those cheese curds: despite asking for a gluten-free bun (which should indicate a preference for a gluten-free meal on the part of the customer, I would think), my husbands burger was stuffed with the breaded and fried cheese curds which he, unfortunately, didn't realize until he had taken a few bites. Gratefully, he is not severely celiac, but thanks to Rally 5 he will be having a very uncomfortable Labor day evening. We will definitely not be ordering Rally 5 again. read more

There is not one thing that came to our table that didn't feel like it was personally made for us and it was all so delicious that it felt like we were the only people in the restaurant being cooked for. The Mac and cheese is ridiculous it's so good. I had the green chili Mac and cheese with a fried egg on it! There was pulled pork and fish tacos and onion rings battered so beautifully that I felt like I wanted to order more just to wear like a bracelet for the drive home - just eating them from my arms! Lol. The Mona Lisa of the meal...the masterpiece is the key lime pie. If you haven't had it there I guarantee that you have really never had true Key lime like this. I recommend that you order one at the beginning of the meal and then one at the end of the meal. If you live in Fort Collins or in the surrounding area and you have not visited this place, you are going to do yourself one of the biggest favors and you'll give yourself one of the biggest smacks on your forehead wondering why it is that you had not been there before. A friend of mine and I drove all the way from Denver to try it. Surely you can drive a few miles! We walked in and were seated right away but then had to wait about 15 minutes before the server came by. We finally ordered food and drinks. My daughter ordered mac n cheese and it was standard. I ordered a burger which for the price was pretty sub standard. It tasted good but was over done. My wife ordered the Mahi-mahi fish n chips which was borderline burnt. We looked around and saw other guests had ordered either the same thing or chicken tenders of some sort which were left behind and uneaten. We're definitely not going back. We came for the tacos and stayed because it's such a great place. The food is delicious. About the third time we were here, the owner came by, making sure everyone was happy, and we got into quite a pleasant conversation. One visit with friends, we had a nice talk with one of the wait staff, who told us, "This is the best place I've ever worked." It's also great when you find a gem of a place that has local ownership by someone with human decency.
