Stopped in mid-afternoon last Saturday. Really liked what they've done with the place. The core bar and dining area remains untouched, but there is a large outdoor canvassed patio out back that really expands the possibilities. This day, a band was tuning up for an early set while a cadre of heavy metal thunder Harleys chilled and waited. The people working the bar and floor were cool and sweet and handled everyone with grace and humor. The food (Burger and Roast Pork Sandwiches) were very good. My Yeungling Draft was cold and thirst quenching. Haven't met Ralphie yet, but the dude got something going on! Will be back pronto. Left something with our pleasing server that I really want back.

Ralphies is closed--- reopened as The Tavern at Penns Park. Haven't stopped in lately but their website no longer exists as Ralphies.

Ralphies is a hidden gem! If you're in the area definitely stop by. Good music, good people. Bartenders are always friendly!

What a delightful find while out antiquing. A quiet little tavern with friendly staff…read more Not your ordinary tavern fare. The chef likes to get creative and concocts more than burgers and wings. Be sure to ask what the special of the day are. I had a special burger with grilled Halloumi cheese and crush pistachios. An odd combination but worked well together and a nice change over a basic burger. He had a buffalo chicken cheese steak and said it was juicy and flavorful. The Wycombe has a cosy rustic atmosphere with a full bar and plenty of tables for eating in.

The Wycombe Tavern & Grille…read more We visited The Wycombe Tavern & Grille at approximately 7:45 p.m. on a Saturday. There were only two other occupied tables and a few people seated at the bar, so we were surprised by the slow service. After waiting quite a while, we eventually had to ask to be served. The service improved after that, and our server was pleasant, but the tables still lacked consistent attention. Several staff members appeared to spend a considerable amount of time gathered in a back room talking rather than checking on guests. The mozzarella sticks were very good and earned 4 stars, as did the French onion soup. Although the website gives the impression of a more traditional village inn, the interior is actually fairly modern. There also appears to be a very nice outdoor beer garden area that would be enjoyable in warmer weather. The cottage pie was a generous portion, but it was somewhat limited in flavor and contained very few vegetables. The fish dinner included nice-sized pieces of fish with a light breading. It was enjoyable overall, although not exceptional, so I would rate it 3.5 stars. Service: 3 stars Overall experience: 3.5 stars The Wycombe Tavern & Grille has a pleasant atmosphere, good appetizers and reasonable portions, but the service and some of the entrées could use improvement. I've eaten at the wyck a handful of times over the years and have bought take out from their bottle…read moreshop as well. I recently visited during lunch hours and had a quick delicious lunch with my wife. Parking was found easily on the side lot and plenty of seating was available. Since we were in a rush we sat at the bar. The bartender was quick to take our order which was a Chicken Caesar Salad for me and a Chicken Quesadilla for the wife. Both orders came out quickly and were good. The ingredients were fresh, portions were good and the flavors were just right for our simple lunch. They had Fiddlehead IPA on tap which was nice to see as it's one of the more popular and tasty somewhat newer IPA's in our market. On that day their tap list had a nice variety of styles. The Fiddlehead was fresh and hoppy so I would say they definitely get their lines cleaned. The inside may be a bit dated and a little dark, but for me the rest of the experience was just fine. Our lunch was reasonably priced and they have a lunch program where you buy 5 lunches and get the 6th free. It never expires so I'll have to visit again!! The bottle shop used to be a must visit and still kind of is. I used to journey up there to find some rarer domestic craft and foreign bottles, but they've scaled back their inventory overall and are a bit more unorganized then they were a few years ago. I hope they get that back up to snuff! Definitely a visit if you're in the area and in the need of decent eats and a good craft beer.
