I lost count but I am hitting another Triple D. This time it's an oldie that has turtle soup. I walked into the bar door and this place is all dark and dark wood like something from the revolutionary war. Friendly staff and even the clientele. I had to try the snapper soup which comes with a little cup of sherry. I tried it without the sherry first and it had such an amazing flavor and texture but the sherry transformed it. I didn't hate the sherry part but I liked the soup better without it. The million dollar burger has this amazingly thick candied bacon that sweet Smokey and has a tiny bit of heat. The burger is hand formed super high quality and magnificent! There's an onion jam along with sautéed onions and that tied in with the burger and bacon are stupendous. Tied together with the cooper cheese and large brioche bun this was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. This place has a great menu and it seems like a majority of their offerings are completely house made. I only saw the bar but the place looks large with different dining rooms and outdoor seating. It's only 15 minutes from my job so I may need to come back again.

Fall leaf peeping season is coming to a close and while out trying to absorb the last of the 2024 fall beauty we passed the Pineville - a spot we've wanted to check out for some time now. Our eyes needed a moment to adjust once in the door as we entered into a darkened bar. What appeared to be a regular gaggle at the bar all swiftly looked to see who was entering. We were led through the bar area through to a small room with better lighting and seated beside the window. The room had several tables already occupied by others lunching. The cheesesteak was bland, small. mushy and lackluster. The Buffalo chicken wrap small as well and the chicken cold from the lettuce and dressing. The highlight was the Bavarian pretzel that appeared to be scratch made with options of cheese or mustard for dipping. Needless to say we left disappointed Our curiosity did not kill the cat just will remind us not to revisit in the future.

This restaurant is inside an olddddd house. It's very neat to be inside and see all the decorations. The server was so friendly and efficient. We got way too much food, but the leftovers were great. The rice pudding tasted home made

    Great story

What a great find! Our meal was reasonably priced well prepared and delicious topped with an amazing historical ambience. The building one of the oldest in the country ( Washington and Hamilton both made appearances) we ate in the greenhouse loaded with healthy plants. Ordered the million dollar burger which was loaded with bacon and onion jam cooked exactly as I ordered. Truffle fries served with a cheese fondue are a must. Also ordered the snapper soup tasty but not awesome Great experience bit far away from us but if the area would definitely go again

This was our first time here & we loved it. The sunroom was beautiful & relaxing. I was worried about being cold but the temperature was perfect. Started with the clams in red sauce & fries. Both were excellent. I ordered the seabass but changed the sides to broccoli & spinach. My husband had the NY strip. The seabass was cooked to perfection and the crab topping was divine. I don't eat steak, but my husband loved it. We got rice pudding to go & that was wonderful as well. Haley gave us excellent service. I would highly recommend this restaurant & can't wait to go back.

Sigh - I want so much to love this place, but they really make it so hard. Let's start with when you first arrive and are forced to utilize valet parking.... Unless one of the few non-valet spots right at the entrance are open, get ready to hand over your keys. I have no idea why this forced service is necessary. They have a giant parking lot with plenty of space. It just seems like a way to force tips. Ambiance: the restaurant itself is quaint and nicely decorated, so points there. There are several different dining areas which all seem to have a different aesthetic, to include an enclosed garden patio with greenery and plants. It was lovely to sit out there and is decorated well. I appreciated that it was heated in the wintertime. During another visit I sat in a traditional dining room which would've been great for a cozy dinner. Unfortunately, the service leaves much to be desired. On both visits, the wait staff who helped us could not have been more disinterested and absent, and did the absolute bare-minimum while seeming miserable. On the most recent visit, we felt rushed to order then rushed to pay when we were clearly still visiting and not ready to leave. The saddest disappointment of all has been the food and relatedly, the pricing. As other reviews have mentioned, the pricing is astronomical and does not match the product server. This is not a high-end fine dining establishment and the food is not great. Both times I have left underwhelmed and honestly annoyed with how much I paid. Overall, sadly disappointing and far from my top choice in the area.

Updating this down to a 1 star as there is a scam going on with them charging your credit card. Be sure to check your credit card statement after the fact, especially if you kept your receipt. They added an additional 15% on top of the full tab (food, drink, tax, tip). Just an egregious breach of trust. Disgraceful.

This is a special place and I have been visiting for as long as I can remember. In my recent visits I always get the top rated burger, it is really good. I must admit that the menu looks amazing and it would be a challenge to even choose something to order. I look forward to visiting in the future, there are so many things I want to try. The bar area , only place I have ever been, is a blast to the past. I love the nostalgia of the bar area and at my recent visit the bartender and service was amazing, super friendly and engaging. You must respect and admire owners that have been in the business for decades and they keep it going, the menu prices reflect the area and the clientele... it's not for everyone and that is ok.The menu is amazing because you can choose from elevated bar food or fine dining pasta dishes... there is definitely something for everyone at the Pineville Tavern!

Whether you visit for lunch or dinner, the service and food quality is always good at the Pineville Tavern. Legend has it that George Washington stayed here. I wonder if he had a chance to enjoy a crème brûlée.

Been to PVT twice now and sat in the Garden Room this time, which we enjoyed. Food was good, especially the crab cakes. Service was attentive. They do add a 3% charge if you use a credit card though.

I had this spot in my bookmarks but didn't really take a detailed look at it until I recommended it to a coworker who brought back tales and a few slices for me. Even reheating them a day later, the slices provided a glimpse of what this could be. Months afterwards I finally assembled a small but eager crew to join me there. The journey from NJ was fraught with pouring rain and flooding, but we wouldn't be deterred.... We were the first customers here on a very stormy day, and our kind server explained they way the beer walk operates. Our card in hand we proceeded to pour our own tastings from the 16 or so options. On board for this adventure was a friend who specializes in IPAs and other beers, so I thought it best to follow his lead. I'm not really an IPA guy, but these were not your run of the mill beers. I won't list what we tried as the taps change. However, on our visit we sampled 3 Vermont beers all rated over 4 stars. My friend who visits Vermont regularly was amazed that they had these. He remarked " you can't even find these on tap in Vermont"! Ok, say beer is not your thing, well there are also ciders and wine on tap. But let's get to the food. This menu is only red pizza, white pizza, Stromboli and salads. We started with a white that featured pears, mozzarella, Gorgonzola and topped with arugula. This came out looking great and tasting even better. One of the best white pies I've had in recent memory. And if pairing is your thing, those high quality IPAs went perfectly. For a red we did half Italian stallion and half got honey. Another very good pie, but that white though.... I imagine on normal weather days this place can fill up. And there is a lot of outdoor seating too. Our server was very friendly as were the young pie artisans on duty that night . I hope to return in warmer weather and enjoy their offerings outside. Pro-tip: Right next door is Owowcow ice cream, no better way to end a simple pleasures trip!

Northridge is located in the working farm's lovingly renovated barn with an architecturally spectacular addition that includes beautiful beams, huge windows, and an incredible 2-story fireplace. The appointments are simple, yet lovely, and make for a warm, elegant dining space. And, every bite of food was amazing! Surprise pre-appetizers included delicious little biscuits and beautifully plated tiny bites: dollop of hummus topped by a sliver of crostini, adorable little jar of vegetable tapenade, bite of cheese with micro greens. From the $75 three-course pre-fixe menu ($65 w/ no dessert) I chose for my appetizer the duck on a little sweet potato waffle - such a unique combination of wonderful flavors! My main, salmon atop a leek puree, was perfectly cooked and, again, the flavors were amazing. My husband had the potato soup with lobster bits and it was absolutely delicious. His Veal Bolognese was a very large portion of pasta and slow-cooked shredded veal with peas, carrots, and a sauce that made us want to lick the bowl. Our desserts were a warm apple crumble and a delightful chocolate parfait served in a small jar. We met the owners, Mario and Mary, and were happy to rave about their wonderful job creating the space and choosing the excellent staff - from their talented chef to the friendly and attentive servers. Our BYOB fine-dining experience was well worth the cost and we'll go back, bringing along as many friends as we can!

I was very impressed by the way we were greeted by Noelle at the door. A little bit of history of the renovated barn turned into a cozy, well-appointed Stockton area BYOB, some smiling chat and then we were off to our table to what we were looking forward to since we made our reservation. I love the idea of the prix fixe menu with a well-rounded selection (fish, seafood, meat, and vegan choices, etc.) Apps The potato soup had a nice smooth consistency, full pieces of lobster meat, a touch of truffle. 4 stars The tuna tartare was fresh but seriously underwhelming. Not much flavor nor pizazz there. I wish I got something else. 2 stars Entrees The seafood ramen noodle thingy, explained to us that it was a newer item in the menu and very popular was the highlight of my evening. The stock is everything in ramen dishes and this was no exception. Excellent lobster stock and perfectly prepared shrimp, cooked to a snap when bitten into. The marinated egg was very different and very good. It had a nice strong tingling taste. 5 stars The braised short rib was tender but dry. However, when mixed with the au jus and pureed carrots on the plate, it livened and juiced the meat up. The roasted broccolini was inedible. Totally undercooked, chewy and a waste of a fine veg. 3 stars Dessert The peach and biscuit napolean presented itself fantastically, was looking forward to the first bite out of this jar of delight and then fell flat. The peaches were hard and tasted like unripen fruit. The honey and syrup and the sweetness of the whipped cream was all one can taste. Very disappointed and a waste of calories. 2 stars Service Hostess 5 stars, wait people 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars, or perfect, if we didn't have to wait 25 minutes for our dessert which was ordered pre-dinner. It's not like it had to be baked fresh, I didn't think. Maybe they had to whip up and bake the biscuits. And also, this was the type of place where you have to chase down your server to get your check and then once again chase them down to take your card. Now, would I go back? If I was in the area, maybe. Some of the other apps and entrees I saw being served looked very interesting. But that was the main problem I had here. Presentation was creative and art-like but some dishes ended up not living up to the vision.

Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich - This was the biggest disappointment. The chicken breast was extremely thick and had a grainy texture that made me wonder if it was chicken breast with rib meat. If that's the case, it gives the impression that quality isn't a priority. The breading also fell off with almost every bite, and the sandwich wasn't well proportioned (one oversized tomato slice that wasn't cut evenly). Most importantly, it didn't taste like Nashville hot at all -- more like "Nashville not." Shrimp Po' Boy - Below average. The shrimp had a slightly fishy taste, and the bread didn't resemble proper po' boy bread. The greens were a spring mix, which felt like an odd choice. Traditional shredded lettuce would have worked much better. I've had po' boys in Louisiana, and while I wasn't expecting complete authenticity, I was expecting something closer to the spirit of the dish. This version missed the mark. Smash Burger - Probably the best of the three mains we ordered, but still just average. I've honestly had better smash burgers at chains like Shake Shack. Sides: The fries were great. We ordered the beer cheese sauce, which was fine but not necessary. The onion rings were the standout -- perfectly crispy with a clean bite. The homemade ranch served with them was excellent. Overall, I really wanted to like this place more, but the food didn't deliver enough for me to return.

BUT "never" get the spring rolls. Two very disappointing , tiny spring rolls that had a microscopic amount of pork. It was pathetic. Not even worth it for $5. I would stay away from those. Silly only two on the plate and there were 3 of us. Too small to share. Our server was efficent and sweet. She added to a nice happy hour. We enjoyed playing a few rounds of table shuffle board. Nice addition. The best part of our happy hour was a friendly couple (we just met them) at the bar surprised us and paid for a round of drinks since they heard it was my Mom's 93 birthday!! That surely made her day extra special and memorable.
