Very rude obnoxious valet attendant he was so busy on the phone never looked up,so I parked myself. He came up and said no trucks. I told him I was parked already and he said I was being confrontational. I went in and spoke to the manager and t old him of my plight and he was nice cordia but stated he had no control over the valet it was and outside company. This makes no sense if it's his restaurant it's his lot he hired the outside company. Just tired of rude service they want our business they need to do better. First time. Went for lunch. Most of the food was terrible. The snapper soup was the worst I have ever had... tasteless bowl of light brown slop with consistency of pudding (could have used a fork), no snapper, uncooked vegetables. Reuben was not properly proportioned ...not enough kraut or dressing, too much meat. Gravy for open faced beef was tasteless. Fries were good. Ketchup served with a skin on top...how long had this been sitting around? Won't go back. Not sure why this place is popular, it can't be the food quality. read more

I lost count but I am hitting another Triple D. This time it's an oldie that has turtle soup. I walked into the bar door and this place is all dark and dark wood like something from the revolutionary war. Friendly staff and even the clientele. I had to try the snapper soup which comes with a little cup of sherry. I tried it without the sherry first and it had such an amazing flavor and texture but the sherry transformed it. I didn't hate the sherry part but I liked the soup better without it. The million dollar burger has this amazingly thick candied bacon that sweet Smokey and has a tiny bit of heat. The burger is hand formed super high quality and magnificent! There's an onion jam along with sautéed onions and that tied in with the burger and bacon are stupendous. Tied together with the cooper cheese and large brioche bun this was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. This place has a great menu and it seems like a majority of their offerings are completely house made. I only saw the bar but the place looks large with different dining rooms and outdoor seating. Fall leaf peeping season is coming to a close and while out trying to absorb the last of the 2024 fall beauty we passed the Pineville - a spot we've wanted to check out for some time now. Our eyes needed a moment to adjust once in the door as we entered into a darkened bar. What appeared to be a regular gaggle at the bar all swiftly looked to see who was entering. We were led through the bar area through to a small room with better lighting and seated beside the window. The room had several tables already occupied by others lunching. The cheesesteak was bland, small. mushy and lackluster. The Buffalo chicken wrap small as well and the chicken cold from the lettuce and dressing. The highlight was the Bavarian pretzel that appeared to be scratch made with options of cheese or mustard for dipping. Needless to say we left disappointed Our curiosity did not kill the cat just will remind us not to revisit in the future. read more

My wife and I arrived early for our Christmas Eve dinner reservation and had a drink at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party. During that time, we could clearly hear yelling coming from the kitchen, which was not a professional first impression with guests waiting to be seated. This was a Christmas Eve dinner for a group of 18, with reservations made back in June. Unfortunately, our reservation was somehow dropped, and we were told we would need to share the upstairs room with another party. While we're not sure how this occurred, we later observed the head chef speaking with the other group, leading us to believe they may have been acquaintances who needed to be accommodated. Because of this, our party had to be split into three separate tables, as the space could not accommodate both groups together. We were also provided with minimal menus and only one drink menu to share among the three tables. We understand that Christmas Eve is an extremely busy night, and the staff was clearly working hard. That said, the overall coordination and preparedness were lacking. Throughout the evening we experienced cracked glasses being served, forgotten drinks, missed meals, and water pitchers that appeared burnt. The food at Pineville Tavern is usually excellent, which is why we have returned for Christmas Eve dinner four times. Unfortunately, this visit fell short. The mashed potatoes were cold, the filets were not cooked to the requested medium-rare temperature, and the cheesesteak egg rolls were unavailable as they had run out. We truly understand that hosting a large group on such a busy night comes with challenges. However, this was by far the worst experience we've had here for Christmas Eve. While we've enjoyed many great meals at Pineville Tavern in the past, we will likely be looking elsewhere for our annual Christmas Eve family dinner moving forward. read more

What a great find! Our meal was reasonably priced well prepared and delicious topped with an amazing historical ambience. The building one of the oldest in the country ( Washington and Hamilton both made appearances) we ate in the greenhouse loaded with healthy plants. Booked a reservation on a Thursday night for 6 to celebrate 2 birthdays in our family. Booked though OpenTable, entered in the comments section. Of the reservation that this was a birthday dinner. Mentioned to our server that we had two birthday girls. While sitting in the outside area two other tables had birthdays and our server brought out something w a candle in it for both tables. We ordered dessert and it was delivered without a candle. We still sang happy birthday to them, but it was like a smack in the face. Get the bill and see they add 3% to pay with a credit card. You would think that when you charge $24 for a small bowl of pasta you could afford to not nickel and dime you. So, if you want to celebrate a special occasion, pick anywhere else but here. Absolute the worst food and service. I took my family to brunch on easter and the experience was disgusting. They put our table in the corner where my chair was against the womens bathroom door. Where the door opened to the table. The smell was disgusting and the management is even worse. I asked for assistance in changing a table and was told "sorry cant help you". All of our plates of food were cold. One item frozen solid. You couldnt even eat without the stench of the bathroom hitting you each time someone came out. They found every excuse not to take care of the issue. They mentioned that they had around 600 covers that day and we were just one complaint. I am sure we werent the only ones. You cant place a table where people are eating in front of a toilet room. I will never return to this establishment. This issue is absolutely a sanitation and food safety concern with department of health. read more

This was our first time here & we loved it. The sunroom was beautiful & relaxing. I was worried about being cold but the temperature was perfect. Started with the clams in red sauce & fries. Both were excellent. I ordered the seabass but changed the sides to broccoli & spinach. My husband had the NY strip. The seabass was cooked to perfection and the crab topping was divine. I don't eat steak, but my husband loved it. We got rice pudding to go & that was wonderful as well. Haley gave us excellent service. Do not waste your time trying the new "lodge" menu. Sure there are a couple of apres ski inspired posters dotting the greenhouse and a couple of grapevine reindeer but that's about the extent of it. We made reservations specifically to try the pop up menu. When we arrived we were handed the normal pineville menu and seated in the cold greenhouse. I had to get up and ask the hostess for a lodge menu. The server, while very accommodating, was not familiar with the new menu and seemed confused about the whole thing. We ordered the fondue and the soft pretzel. The fondue was delicious but the accompanying plate was anemic. Two broccoli spears, two cauliflower spears and a handful of sourdough cubes. I wish I'd taken a picture. It was laughable. We gave our feedback to the server. The " soft" pretzel was as hard as a rock and came with a nicely crated cheese sauce but no spicy mustard. Sigh - I want so much to love this place, but they really make it so hard. Let's start with when you first arrive and are forced to utilize valet parking.... Unless one of the few non-valet spots right at the entrance are open, get ready to hand over your keys. I have no idea why this forced service is necessary. They have a giant parking lot with plenty of space. It just seems like a way to force tips. Ambiance: the restaurant itself is quaint and nicely decorated, so points there. There are several different dining areas which all seem to have a different aesthetic, to include an enclosed garden patio with greenery and plants. It was lovely to sit out there and is decorated well. I appreciated that it was heated in the wintertime. During another visit I sat in a traditional dining room which would've been great for a cozy dinner. Unfortunately, the service leaves much to be desired. On both visits, the wait staff who helped us could not have been more disinterested and absent, and did the absolute bare-minimum while seeming miserable. On the most recent visit, we felt rushed to order then rushed to pay when we were clearly still visiting and not ready to leave. The saddest disappointment of all has been the food and relatedly, the pricing. As other reviews have mentioned, the pricing is astronomical and does not match the product server. This is not a high-end fine dining establishment and the food is not great. Both times I have left underwhelmed and honestly annoyed with how much I paid. One of my favorite restaurants near New Hope! I have been coming here my entire life, I probably have been here over 20 times! Classic meals, high quality ingredients, and overall a great place to take anyone for dinner! We recently had my mom's birthday celebration in their private room upstairs and it was wonderful!!! We agreed, waited 10 more minutes and then were seated in an enclosed outdoor space that was mostly empty, and...COLD. We sat there with our jackets on, freezing. We asked if we could move inside and we were told there were no tables and we couldn't be seated. Again, our original table was for the main dining room. Long story short, we walked out. Also, we thought it was a bit odd that a place that charges 25 for a burger has guy fiere plastered all over their entranceway, not sure what they are going for here. This is our second visit to PT. First visit was in the summer time, we sat "outside". You feel like you're outside but inside, and the flowers were so beautiful! We had the crab cakes which we would say were almost as good as a Maryland crab cake! No filler and fresh! Second visit we went last night, fall decor was beautiful! We didn't sit outside but I took a peak and it looked so pretty. So why the 3 star rating? Well, we sat inside and it's an old tavern so it's tight, having to move in between tables that were placed close to the entrances was a little awkward. But what was worse, was they had us seated by a bathroom. Literally, my seat blocked the ladies room, so people had to ask me to move to get in. By the way, this isn't their only bathroom! So why they sit people here is beyond me? It really made my experience not good. And why didn't we ask to be moved? We were already seated when I realized it was a bathroom, it looked like a closet. Also, it was busy and we were a party of 6, I thought for sure people would just walk to the other bathroom! They should just not have a table there. They would only lose the one table! Their computers were down, and it appeared they couldn't function without them. Not sure where the pens and papers were to do it old school. So food took a long time. We honestly were looking for reservations somewhere else but our waitress said she did get our order in, so we held out . Another reason we didn't leave it because our waitress Hailey was amazing! She was attentive even being swamped and dealing with a kitchen that can't function without a computer. She was funny, and honest! She made our time waiting enjoyable! When the food came, we all did enjoy it! I got the ribs and they were fall off the bone good. French onion soup also good. We will come back. Went out with my family on Christmas for dinner. We were seated in the enclosed garden area which was beyond chilly, everyone in sight wearing their coats. The menu for the holiday was limited . Our waiter (who was nice and professional) apologized and then informed us that a number of the better entrees on the menu were no longer available. The quality of the meals we were served was in a word - lacking. This was a huge failure on the part of management. Judging by the size of the crowd the restaurant was doing a brisk business this night. A night out with our dinner club. It is Friday around 630pm. Valet parking as soon as you drive in. Very easy. The place has changed since we were last here. There is now a large atrium style dining area with plants everywhere. Very nice. We were 8 and seated at a nice heavy, rectangular wood table. Plenty of room. Our server was delightful and attentive. Cocktails were ordered and brought out timely. I had a Casamigos tequila neat. For food the menu has many offerings. I went with the sea bass and a turtle soup starter. The soup was great and my sea bass was excellent. A lot of great flavors in there. Others got various dishes. All were extremely pleased. We finished with espressos and a couple of ice creams.
