I came in here twice to buy a few items and the tags with specials or sales were wrong. Bought 5-12 packs of coke products but it came out as 3.99 not 2.49 as it was tagged. I came in again and it said 3.34 for coke zero but it came out as 4.99 even when I scanned my keytag. nothing in this store is tagged correctly. read the dating on the tags correctly but was far from right. I hate to post bad reviews but is too reoccurring not too. Sambiot a cashier could not be bothered to acknowledge me in any way during the transaction. She even pointed at the credit card machine while I watched her to figure out if she was tired or what was going on with her. But that is not my job , just the usual poor customer service. She spoke with the other customer in front of me. They don't even know what that means. I will stay with the Sunset location. Overall not a bad place to grocery shop price wise in West Hollywood when compared to Pavillions, Whole Foods, or Gelson's who are all way overpriced, and forget about the Ralph's on Doheny and Beverly, that too is way overpriced. Location, location, location. I've also read the comments about the obnoxious, loud-mouth, middle-aged, Asian woman, bagger/checker who annoys the hell out of me also with her sunny-bright, non-stop, Chatty Kathy, invasive personality. I avoid her like the plague. Management should inform her that not all customers want that forced intrusion into their personal space upon entering the store all the time. I have no doubt she's been insulted a time or two to back off. Some may welcome it, I don't. It's just not normal human behavior. I always think she must have been ignored as a child and craves attention. Another commenter wondered why as of late, this particular store had to rearrange the location of all their products up and down the aisles. Well, I too was upset because it forces you to spend time going up and down each aisle looking for an item you once knew its exact location in hopes you will spot another item on your search that peaks interest and generates a sale on an item you would have never looked for in the past or visit an area of the store you've constantly overlook. I know, very sneaky, but the downside is it's not their time they're wasting, it's yours, but what can you do, nothing. Also true, there are a lot of homeless in the area that I'm sure enter the store and I suppose shoplift, therefore leading to the alleged racial profiling that stems from varying minority groups here in the yelp comments section. I myself have fallen victim to this behavior from store security even after being a valued customer for over 15 years at this very location. And yes, the racial profiling came from another minority who worked in security for the store who picked me out simply because I was of a specific racial group, period. Ralph's can do better. What? I don't know. The homelessness in Los Angeles has gotten worse since the recession of 2008 and continues to get worse. You see it yourself daily, up and down La Brea, Wilshire, Sunset, Santa Monica, Blvd, all over, homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks or in their self-made tents. closest ralphs to me! ralphs is one of my favorite grocery stores because they always have good deals and their stores are always clean. they have a really good selection if premade foods including decent sushi, hot foods, and rotisserie chicken. the only really annoying this is the self check out machines seem to have a mind of their own. they always yell out that an attendant has been notified to assist me. if i wanted an attendant - i would have stood in a line. read more

If you care about our child, DO NOT order his birthday cake from here. They made me place my order 48 hours in advance, and then they waited until 40 minutes before pickup (on the day of his party) to call and tell me that they don't have the toppers for the STAR WARS cake I ordered. Their attempt at a suitable STAR WARS replacement cake was a disaster in many ways. I told all of the other parents and showed them a photo of what the cake was *supposed* to look like. I think it's safe to say that none of them will be ordering a birthday cake from Ralph's. I have been going to Ralphs on N LaBrea for years. My prescriptions mount in the thousands EVERY month so Ralphs is making a pretty penny from my insurance. I had to get a vaccine the other day and would have had to TAKE ME SHIRT off in front of all the other Customers walking by the Pharmacy with absolutely NO PRICACY! It is like getting a shot in the ISLE! f Even the Pharmacist was embarrassed about the set up. I ended up going to CVS which has a nice PRIVATE room set up for vaccines as I found out Walgreens does too. If you DON'T do something about this situation - I will be LEAVING Ralphs Pharmacy and moving ALL MY PRESCRIPTIONS to CVS or Wallgreens. There is plenty of wasted space at this Ralphs to put up a wall and a door to give your customers the privacy they need - it's ridiculous and most likely against sanitary laws to give shots being exposed to other customers and my next email it to the BBB and I will be posting this online on ALL Social Media! read more

So I'd like to warn you about the Ralph's on Fountain and LaBrea. I'm a coupon-clipper, and tonight the cashier ripped me off for a second time in less than 12 months. I had a Ralph's reward coupon for $3 off my total order. The cashier had no bagger, so I decided to help her out especially as there were customers behind me, and I had a pretty big order. I handed her my coupons then started filling bags, so I took my eyes off of the register (which I usually always watch). When I got home, I examined the register receipt, and the $3 discount was not applied to the total. But I had given the coupon to her along with about 10 others. On the receipt, only 7 coupons were credited. The same thing happened to me over the past summer - same store. I had an entertainment.com coupon for $5 off my shopping order, but the cashier failed to apply it. That time, I was distracted as I was talking to the person behind me. This store has just lost a customer; I'll start driving a little further and go to Pavillions or pay a little more and shop at Gelsons. read more

This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star. Yes there's rooftop parking but its not a safe at all. Homeless people run this supermarket and the area so you can imagine how it is. They have a huge turnstile thing right in the entrance. It feels like you are entering a psychiatric ward or prison. The one security guard that they have there doesn't do anything to stop the homeless people from coming in. The parking lot is also filled with them sleeping and going through the big trash bins they have there. Staff is not friendly at all and the desserts/food never looks fresh. When I went into here, I thought to myself "this is a lot like a Kroger's".....for good reason it turns out since I found out that Kroger owns these guys. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, parking here is a nightmare and we got panhandled on the way in, which didn't surprise me to much given the somewhat shady neighborhood this is located in. This is typically my go to grocery store, but mostly because it's a convinent distance, from where I live. Most of the employees here are nice and helpful, in my experience, except for one, which I'll mention later. There is an asian woman who works here, who is very animated, but she seems harmless, who bags the groceries. I see her around West Hollywood, often, riding her bike. There is also a lady here, whose name escapes me at the moment, but she is very sweet, always talks to me when i see her. I'll update this post with her name... This Ralphs has rooftop parking, which is why I prefer it to the one on Sunset...where parking is cramped and difficult. There does seem to be homeless, beggars and questionable characters, who hang outside the store, sometimes. It's a grocery store, they have everything any other grocery would have. The meats here, tend to look a bit dated, poor color and seem unfresh. There is an employee, who may be the manager or assistant manager, I think, based on his clothes. He's not a very nice person...and I wonder if his rudeness, to me and my friends, may be on the surface, if you can read between. read more

I lived a mere 60 second walk away from this store for years. This store was strictly geographically convenient for me. There is nothing else convenient about it.. This isn't a store where you can just run in and grab something quickly. I've done some hard time waiting in line at this store. More often than not, the lines are ridiculous. It's as if every single day at 6 there is some surprise rush that they weren't anticipating. It's a bad way to end a long day, unless you're hoping to push yourself over the edge. I've even had to wait in line to check myself out, which I find insulting. The store is dingy, the parking is annoying. I give it two stars because I really like the checkers. The people movers are also kind of fun. I'd go to Trader Joe's, Yummy or Target before going to this store. I've been nicked by more shopping carts in Jon's than I can count, and I'd still subject myself to that before this Ralph's. read more

On 11/09/2017 I purchased 6 items at the self checkout. I forgot I had a coupon for a free soda, I walked along the front of the checkout stands with my bag over my shoulder and looked into the soda machines up front, I never touched a thing. I walked to go exit by the lottery machines so I could play mega millions. They have some metal system set up so you can't go out that way. It's before the exit doors, The middle aged woman security guard walks over and I say I'm sorry I didn't know you couldn't go this way. I'm a 59 year old man, I apologize and then she starts yelling what register did you go through. I tell her what register and that I forgot something and didn't know I couldn't go that way, I show her my receipt and everything was paid for, That should have been the end but she started yelling get out and still accusing me of stealing, I showed my receipt to 3 cashiers and the security guard again but she yelled and said F U get out. Laughing and smiling and waving bye bye and following me to the door. The WORSt part is RALPHS supervisor Carlos did NOTHING. He just stayed behind the front desk. I called later and left my name and number but no one called back. I called later to get the name of the security company, the same male supervisor gave me the wrong info. I had to go back at night to find the truth about who she worked for. I have filed a complaint against the security guard. I went back today's after being told the the store manager would be in. I went and talked to the store manager Miguel and he knew NOTHING of what happened. RALPHS did NOTHING about a customer being verbally abused and HUMILIATED. NOTHING He apologized and thank me for coming in to tell the story. They didn't even ask if the could at least compensate the $18.61 I spent yesterday. They did NOTHING, didn't even call the security company. Their commercials about they care and such, LIES, SHAME ON RALPHS 20 days later I finally talked to the store manager after numerous calls to Ralph's corporate office. I am very satisfied with my experience at Ralph's today. I have always been satisfied as well, but my experience today was great. My bread had gotten moldy and it is my favorite bread, Dave's Powerseed, which is a bit expensive but that's what I pay for. I had just purchased the bread a few days before, and the sell by date was marked 4-1-15 and today is 4-4-15. I was literally in the middle of making a sandwich and noticed the bread by its moldy smell and white crust. I called and spoke with the manager at Ralph's, and even though I didn't have my receipt, they replaced my loaf of bread. I'm very thankful of Ralph's and their kind Easter gesture. I recommend Ralph's to all those who are hungry. read more

Simply weird. It must be highly frustrating for a business that has established itself in Los Angeles for the most part, as a good provider of grocery items in a clean and cozy store, be subjected to the strange and dirty strains of Hollywood that take any of the charm away from what we know this place to be in other areas. Worst experience. My boyfriend goes into this Ralph's gets a sandwich, and I went in a little after. When we go back to the deli no one was there to help me and we waited for at least 10 minutes before we asked someone and received so much attitude for doing so. But still we continued to get service until she was unable to complete my sandwich order. So we decided to get the supplies to make my own personal sandwich. While we were waiting we did notice a security guard looking our way, but we didn't really pay her any mind. So as we're walking to find the the cheese, we noticed the same security guard walking right behind us. And when we stopped walking so did she. Her name was Kim, she admitted that she decided to stalk my boyfriends every move because he was not "dressed appropriately" at 8am in the morning. Mind you he works on houses so he does not pride himself on wearing "nice clothes" especially if they will get ruined in his line of work. When we asked her why she was harassing us she replied "he's walking around with a sandwich in his hand" I was dumbfounded. He didn't have a big bag that would imply that he was a thief just a sandwich and a coffee. She later implied that it was the way he looks, so I refused to buy anything from that establishment. What really hurt my heart was when the manger came in to "resolve the issue" he automatically took the security guards side no questions asked. It was straight up harassment for not "looking" the way they wanted us to look. I don't know what it is about LA but the societal standards are all fucked up. This Ralph's is great. It is a mass market grocery store in Hollywood that manages to keep clean, organized and well stocked in an area with a lot of homeless and difficult customers. They are open late, 2AM. And if you are a regular the staff become more friendly. read more

This has been my regular Ralph's for quite sometime now, as I have lived and/or worked in the area for 15+ years, and have been happy with their selections, sales and MOST of the staff. It saddens me to say that over the past several years I have experienced more and more unacceptable behavior from a small group of employees, which include a manager, a security guard and three staff members, and I'm not the only one. They are rude, racist and disregarding and it is unacceptable. And although I have mostly witnessed them singling out white people (they are all either Latino/Hispanic or black), I have also seen and heard them being disrespectful and condescending to people of color as well. It's as if they are racially profiling people they don't like, for whatever reason, and it's disgusting and sad. If these negative, malcontent people aren't replaced soon, I will being taking my business somewhere else. read more

Went to this Ralph's 3 times this week. Lines with 20 or more people in them. One cashier open and one 15 items or less line open at 7:30 pm. The manager told everyone that the computer would not allow him to schedule more cashiers. People were taking pics of the lines and texting others on how bad the service is. Sprouts opened one block from my house, and I am giving Ralph's one more shot, then never again. I don't care what a computer allows, I don't eat them.
