Am really frustrated. I bought over $100 of groceries and paid the $10 Instacart fee for everything I ordered to be out of stock. Why am I paying $10 for just butter to be delivered and almost $100 of groceries to be out of stock???? They do not update their system online. This is my first and last time buying from Ralphs. I bought at Pavillions a week ago and got everything. Ditto Whole Foods updated their system almost hourly of in and out of stock items online. This is pathetic to shop during Covid. I really hate that people look at minorities differently especially when it comes to Ralph's and how their culture is only viewed for whites only. My mother just came here a few hours ago to do some shopping and went to get salmon. As my mother was requesting it from the employee, he told her that she should be aware that it's $5 per piece. She didn't ask for a price as she didn't care and was only asking for a couple of slices. The employee then makes a comment to another employee that is behind him that she doesn't care and will pay for the salmon. Never go here. I live down the street and I always go out of my way to go to ANY other grocery store in the area. A couple of times a year I forget that it's the worst place in the world and I go in to try and pick up a few things from the seventh circle of Hell. From the moment you arrive and park (probably) on the roof (as the first level parking is a cluster cluck of the worst kind, you'll notice the elevators are broken as well as the moving sidewalk that's mean to take you to the ground level. This 45 degree angled rubber walkway of death has you cantilevered, knees bent in an athletic stance holding onto a disgusting rubber handrail just trying not to fall to an untimely death in front of a crowd of vagrants watching from below. Upon walking into the dark, dystopian interior you will immediately feel a sense of unease as the over crowded displays and shelves that tower to the ceiling look over and around you. It won't be long before you realize that while the shelves are absolutely packed, they don't seem to have anything you came for. You'll walk around for 20 mins before you realize you'll need to go someplace else and now your quick trip to the store will take half the afternoon. But to exit you just now hike up the 45 degree angled walkway ... thankfully not pushing a cart full of groceries ... as you left your cart back in the store because it contained only 3 of the 10 items you came for. This Ralph's sucks. Their posted hours state that they are open until 1am. But they close/lock their doors at 12:30/12:40am very very often. I won't say everyday, because I haven't gone everyday to check. But everytime I've gone 20-30 mins before their stated closing time, an employee has been standing on the other side of the door not allowing anyone in saying they were closed. I'm pretty certain Ralph's closing time isn't 12:40 as the employee says. read more

I live in the West Hollywood Hills so the closest store to me is Pavilions. I wanted to give Ralphs a chance because of their lower prices and my positive experience with them in San Diego. I tried the Fresh Fare (supposedly an upscale Ralphs) and was thoroughly disgusted in all ways including the very rude employees. Also, don't forget about that 3 YEAR OLD pizza that a customer bought there in early 2020 that the NEWS covered. I next tried the Rock n Roll Ralphs on Sunset. ANOTHER nightmare store that looks and acts like they have been through a WAR. So I drive farther away from home and tried THIS store. Again, very worn out store, beat up, broken stuff and NOT clean. I had THE most disturbing experience with the Front End Manager that was shocking! Called corporate and complained about it PLUS about the other stores as well. By my exchange with corporate I get a STRONG sense that Kroger really does NOT care about the stores in the area. So, I will NOT be traveling farther away from home to find a decent Ralphs to shop at. I'm back at Pavlions where the store is clean, maintained and delivers what the neighborhood expects! read more

This store is not equipped to provide any kind of service to families. Every time I go in here I get treated like a nuisance by the checkout personnel. Apparently they don't appreciate customers buying enough food to feed a small family, they seem to cater to single person households. Today was THE WORST I have been ever treated in a grocery store before!! It was busy and of course I had a cart full of groceries with my two children... the checker didn't call for a bagger until she was 3/4 of the way thru my purchase... then she kept checking and tossing the customers stuff behind me down the belt and the bagger had no idea how to bag effectively and ran out of space in my bags and then just started tossing the rest of my stuff loosely on top of my bags in the cart. I had to move out of the way of lady behind me and basically rebag all 4 of my bags on the floor in the isle!!! I was fuming and complained to the manager, but there doesn't seem to be any reason to believe that this behavior will change.... If you shop for more than one person, do yourselves a favor and drive around corner to TJs and Wholefoods!!! The service is worth the price!!! read more

This is a great supermarket- been going to it for over nine years. Just big enough to have everything- but not so big you have to walk for miles. Usually has parking on the ground level- and at the busiest time there is always plenty of parking on the roof deck. read more

Ralph's is a reliable grocery store, most of the time you know what you're going to get, but this Ralph's in particular has an All Star staff on the morning crew! I can always count on Jose to help me find the best produce, even when I'm in a hurry and he always says hello whether or not I stop him to ask a question! I appreciate that. Definitely seems like a great employee I would want to work with. Up next is Caryn! She makes being a grocery clerk an Art! She puts smiles on everyone's faces and makes me feel good about my day. I do groceries for my studio almost every morning I work and when I see Caryn I'm reminded to bring positive energy to my work place as well! Thanks for making my work days a little more fun Caryn. Come for the groceries, stay for the Caryn! Although she does a great job of keeping lines moving quickly so you won't be there any longer than you need to be. I believe today Caryn had a newer staff member bagging with her, I want to say her name is Jovina, who has been very sweet the last couple times I've seen her there. I absolutely love this Ralph's. The customer service is always good. I live a cross the st. It's so convent for me. I personally think the prices are pretty good and i always get coupons so it's a plus. And I use the free Ralph's card that gives you major coconuts. My family are from the middle of Cali and they think the prices are outrageously high. I guess I'm accustomed to the LA prices. Lol. I only give it 4 stars because the security are constantly having to watch some of the homeless. I've witnessed some tossing to the ground. And they have one short Mexican guy worker/cashier that kinda looks like he has a curly mullet that always seems like he doesn't like helping me. read more

This store has THE worst customer service I've ever seen. Most condescending employees, even the most basic question or request will be met with attitude. Mike is the only friendly cashier. Management is of not use, and even more condescending than the stuff. I live 2 blocks away, and I avoid shopping here unless it's an emergency. I wouldn't recommend this deli department if you're catering an event. I called in an order earlier that day, and when I arrived at the deli department to pick it up I waited for exactly 40 minutes for them to cook it. Like, it's not that it wasn't ready--they hadn't even prepped for it whatsoever. To quote the TV show Seinfeld, "You know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation." When I asked if I could get a slip so I could pay for the food while waiting, I was told I had to wait for the food to be ready in order to pay. So I waited 40 minutes for food *and* still had to go wait to check out. The employees said they were short staffed, and that's a shame, but this supermarket needs to figure things out. If you're short staffed, don't tell customers you're able to handle advance orders if you cannot fulfill them in a timely manner. Why even place an advance order if it's pointless? This is a decent Ralph's and they have a lot of parking which is rare in Hollywood. There is a two-story parking area and there is always parking on the top floor. The selection is good and I've found the staff pretty helpful. Whether it's just a few items or a large grocery store list, I've been able to find what I need here. read more

Decent little Ralph's, though I was surprised it wasn't better, considering some of the glowing reviews. Anyone who says it's the best one in LA hasn't been to the one downtown, which is larger, cleaner, and just generally nicer. It's a good Ralph's, not a great Ralph's. If I'm in the neighborhood and need to pick up a few things, I'd pop in again. But I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here, to make it "my store" as a go-to. Truth be told, as my commute takes me by the downtown Ralph's, I'll likely stick to that one, even after I move. Got the damned cart with the awful front wheel alignment today. Grr. read more

This Ralph's isn't my favorite... it's bigger but parking can be a pain (just go ahead and park on the roof, don't even attempt the bumper car thing going on in the main parking lot). It's OK - big deli but probably the slowest deli staff I've encountered in LA. Selection of produce and fresh meat isn't as nice as the Hollywood location. Lines for checkout are usually not too bad and everyone is friendly. Just don't try to come here for deli... you'll leave mad if you do. Oh and yes, the elevators do smell like pee and cigarettes, so there is that. read more

Worst Parking Lot Ever. I first want to acknowledge that there is a rooftop parking deck, which is hard to get too inconvenient. That being said,the smaller front lower parking lot has to be one one of the worst designed or non-user friendly lots out there. As a pedestrian, I've almost been ran over, definitely been honked out, and indirectly caused multiple car backups onto La Brea Ave. As a driver, I almost always get honked at, surprised that I just wasn't rear ended, and yet somehow always find that lucky lower spot that is right next to the store's front entrance. Moral of my review is to walk to this Ralph's and avoid the worst parking lot ever. read more

I live right around the corner of their building and I am/was a customer. The product selection they have in stock is ok but here are the factors that led to 1 star: I saw staff not wearing masks at the checkout during the current Corona quarantine, so be aware of that. They're very inconsistent with their handling of this so I wouldn't be surprised if this is the next Ralph's store being shut down due to too many COVID-19 infections. I don't see them sanitizing anymore and sometimes they do care how many people are in store at the same time while at other times they don't. They're clearly not taking this serious. Also, if you want anything from their meat department be prepared to wait for a very long time. They're understaffed and no one will come to take your order. It's not their worker's fault but this management is absolutely terrible. Speaking of management... they were doing heavy construction in the middle of the night around late fall last year for weeks and it was atrocious. People couldn't sleep due to the extreme noise factor in the wee hours. Back then, code compliance told me that nighttime permits only apply to quiet indoor work which this was not. But since the code compliance officers don't work every night and generally not until 3/4am, it takes a day to get a follow up and by that time of the day, construction wasn't happening anymore.... until in the middle of the next night... And just now, during the pandemic they're doing it again... Yesterday night at around 3:30/4am there was some very loud drilling going on for hours. I had to call the police. I'm really fed up with this place because instead of being courteous to neighbors and potential customers they just do these works whenever it's convenient for them (when the store is closed) instead of considering the residents surrounding them who in turn can't sleep. As if being under a "stay at home order" wouldn't be enough to deal with, now sleeping at normal hours isn't an option anymore either.... read more

What's great about this place is that it is always easy to find parking and that it is in a convenient location if you are heading to the Target, or need to fill up on gas as well. They also have a great variety of items. For the veggies they have lots of meat alternatives, cheese alternatives, soy milk, soy everything - and it is in date. Though this is not where I buy produce, since as Andy pointed out it is not in good condition. read more

I'm a general fan of Ralph's, they have everything I needed, including some organic items. They also have a Wells Fargo with live bankers on Sundays so that's a huge bonus. Always pleased with the bakery as well. From the muffins to the cookies, they never really disappoint. Big downside of this location is the parking. They do have a big, empty lot on the roof, but the lower level can get quite dangerous. It's very tight and not many spots (there's also LA Ink, a barber shop and a thai restaurant on the same land) so getting in and out is a squeeze. Be careful to turn into the lot because you might get struck or at least heavily honked at by oncoming traffic when there's a logjam of cars. read more

I have been going to this Ralphs for over 11 years and I would give it 4 stars but the last trip I had a very bad experience. I was confused about the apps. I have been using the Kroger app and did not know there was a Ralph's app. I asked the manager George about it and he treated me like shit. I asked The price of a watermelon being $5.99 he said that no it was for a mini I went to the ad and it stated not mini but large. I tried to show him and he told me I was stupid. I then got heated and he told me not to raise my voice. I was trying to show him my Kroger app was saying it was $5.99. He would not even listen. He continued to say watermelon is $.89 cents a pound. He finished ringing me up and I went to get my receipt and he threw it on the ground. Then be followed me out to me car. This was the worst experience I've ever had with any manager in my entire life of course yes I got heated but if he's not listening to me what do I do. All he had to say was we have a Ralphs app now and that's the one you should use not the Kroger one because Kroger is in the Midwest. I was told to use the Kroger app for all the years I had been there so I missed the memo. I complained to Kroger national and I complained the review this man should never be a manager he's rude. read more

Best grocery store experience I've had in a while. It takes a lot for me to go out of my way to write a good review but the staff was outstanding. Diego helped me find everything I needed. Luis was our cashier and was also very helpful and had a great attitude despite the thanksgiving rush. 10/10 this will be my new regular grocery store. read more

Guys...there is a Ralph's on Sunset that is far superior to this one. This location is always out of everything they have on special...they often forget your purchased items when bagging, so if you do go here, make sure everything got in the bag. A lot of the grocery items are hours away from expired, so check your dates. The produce is subpar at best.The pharmacy staff is 90 percent awesome, but always has a girl there that is so rude it ruins it for the rest. She makes remarks like you cant hear her..."oh here we go, they're coming to the pharmacy" and sighing because she has to do something. You know who you are girl and no, you are not in a soundproof booth simply because there's a counter between you and me...stop sis. So what to do? Go somewhere else... read more
