My dining companions had the tri tip they said flavorful and perfect size (small plate). I had the 16oz ribeye rare our server reassured me rare. Unfortunately it started out rare but as the meat rested it became medium. I mentioned and they would replace it. That's a huge waste and said no. More like a FYI. Also had a burned charcoal taste like the grill was not cleaned well. Am not a dealbreaker but a good FYI. Came with a nicely seasoned vegetable medley personally a bit over cooked but just me. Everything at Ramen Jack's ribeye is amazing. The food is always hot and tasty. The decor is absolutely cute. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. If you don't like eating in the restaurant, you can always go into the bar area and watch some sort of sports as you have your dinner. And I have to say the drinks are great too. I hate leaving bad reviews, but after thinking for a week, this one deserves it. This was my birthdate dinner. The only day of the year where I want something delicious. I've been to Ramblin jacks about a dozen times and have always repeat. Always had great food and service. But my birthday dinner was different. I ordered the meatloaf. My wife ordered the pork. The meatloaf was so thinly sliced that you couldn't even call it a slice of bread. It was overcooked beyond any recognition with a little chunks of bacon that were completely burnt. The gravy on the mashed potatoes was so salty. It was not palatable. The same for my wife with her gravy on her potatoes. I tasted her pork after she gave me a funny look and something was off. We couldn't tell what it was, but something that we had not tasted before. I don't know if this was a one off day for this restaurant, but our meal was horrible. It really questions whether They aim to do good on weekends only and falter during the weekdays. It will be sometime before we decide to come back and give them a number to try. 20-30 yrs ago I had to travel from the columbia river gorge area to seattle every 3 months for my husband's job and I found Chehalis to be my middle point to take a break, stretch, eat, etc. that's when I discovered The Rib Eye. I always, always stopped there on my way through and on the way back. Well today, all these yrs later my new husband and I were coming back from a trip up there and wanted to stop and eat so that's where we went and they did not disappoint! We each had the reuben and my husband said that was THE best reuben he's ever had, mind you we love our reuben so have tried them all up and down the gorge! They were VERY busy today at lunchtime but everybody had smiles on their faces and didn't seem stressed, the atmosphere was wonderful but busy, the waitress was great. After having a cold morning in the mountains playing in the snow, we wanted to stop and get some hot breakfast before returning to our family's home. We were seated right away and after our waitress took our order, our food came out pretty quickly. Food was great, seats were cozy and we were in and out of there pretty quickly. There was also a cute little play town in the parking lot of the restaurant that we we're probably too big to play in but decided to roam around and get a couple of pics. We picked up dinner for 4 and it was just delicious. The waitress who took the order was so nice, friendly and helpful - we picked up 3 turkey dinners with extra cranberry, 2 with salads and 1 veggies -- all of us had wonderful delicious food. It was packed really nice with gravy and salad dressing in separate containers. The other dinner was pulled pork with salad and again she said her dinner was yummy. It was worth every penny. The service was fantastic- the steaks were not. My NY Steak was barely 1/2 inch at the thickest and about 1/8 inch at the narrowest point. There was really very little meat, most of it well over the medium rare I ordered. Mashed potatoes and gravy were meh, and veggies overdone. Came here on a Sunday 3/8/26 by myself and Ordered the 16 oz ribeye medium rare. My order came out very quick which was a surprise but upon inspection of the food itself I noticed why. There was very little char on the steak and it had absolutely no seasoning. I cut it in half to examine it and voila! The steak was cooked extremely rare. Took one bite and I couldn't do it, it was almost raw and had absolutely no seasoning at all. I mentioned this to my server and she said they don't season their steaks and she could throw it back on the fire so it'll be medium rare. Yeah sure! Because unseasoned meat re-cooked after being cut in half and having all of its juices come out in the process sounds like a great idea and is definitely worth spending $40. I told her no thanks on the offer and that I'd pass on the meal. Left and are never coming back.. Was driving Portland to Seattle when I suddenly got hungry and saw this place. I got the open face turkey sandwich, which was delicious and a good deal at under $20. Big chunks of turkey, great mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce. What put it over the top was the bread the turkey was on. I'm not sure how they prepared it but it was amazing. Servers are nice and attentive, however, with the floor plan, you could be put somewhere where you aren't readily seen by wait staff. I don't blame the staff but the design of the building. Fried pickle chips here are the main reason I stop by. Keep them on the menu please! The only reason they got four stars instead of five is that, while everything was really good (the food, ambiance, service) nothing was really above and beyond. That's not saying this place isn't worth a trip, because you'll be hard pressed to find a place that serves BBQ this good in a large radius of this place. read more

Sheeeit, here we go. I'm a truck driver and frequented this establishment in 2016. After 1.2 million miles I lost track of it and have been wanting to return. I'm finally home. By accident I found it by way of food sign on the freeway. Don't tell anyone about the truck parking. Stupid good food. I'm having the corned beef hash for breakfast. It's the only breakfast item not served after 11AM. I just had a slice of cherry pie to go after my pork chops. Heaven! We expected a wait on a busy travel weekend like this. We were greeted with a smile, seated immediately and bam! The waitress was right there to get our drinks going. I've been here a few times now: twice for dinner, once for breakfast. All three were great. The smoked tri-tip is particularly good. The dinner salads are enormous. The beer is cold and the coffee is delicious. I can't say enough good things about the food. The service is excellent, particularly in the bar where I've eaten dinner. Price aside, I'd get it again but there's a few other things I'd try first. The most disappointing thing was the bread pudding. I liked it, but for that teeny portion it should be half that price. If you've got more money than you need, I definitely recommend the place. Swing and a miss.... We had high hopes for this place. My wife ordered 12 oz ribeye well. Mine was the smoked ribeye medium rare. We each added a salad. We waited 15 minutes before we received our salad 2 minutes before our food came out. When the server brought the food, she dropped my wifes roll onto the table. She then grabbed it and put it back on her plate. She then realized she shouldn't have done that and asked if my wife wanted a new one. After that I cut into my steak which was cooked medium well....
