Menu looks amazing!!!! I just did a short pros/cons list. I would come back. Just some things to be aware of. Pros: Gourmet biscuit options that are unique and delicious. Very high end and creative menu. I had the green tomato biscuit with jalapeño bacon and it was delightful. Private parking in the back. Super friendly and helpful service that was fast. Very clean interior, feels very commercial with stainless seating and that kind of a thing. Cons; It's expensive! I had a biscuit and coffee, just for me, set me back $23!!! I know we have inflation challenges but I was not ready for that bill. The lowest pre-set tip rate is 18% and there is no table service. I'm not sure what my tip was for but it felt unnecessary. Parking lot is gravel- not a true con but just something to be aware of. I would go back but I would mentally prepare for the bill. read more

Very good! The biscuits are huge, and the fried chicken breast with aioli and a pickle was so tasty. My husband and daughter loved the spicy bacon and the prosciutto biscuits. We all enjoyed peach Bellinis to drink. There is bar and table seating. Ordering is done just inside the door so the line may be out the door at peak times, but don't let it deter you. Amazing. Stopped in randomly after my daughter and I did a bike ride down by the river. I got the pimento cheese and sausage biscuit, she got cinnamon rolls and we tried the Mac and cheese. 3.5 - clean environment, not a whole lot of parking but doable since there is other nearby parking, seemed like a place with a lot of regulars on the weekends. The pork belly biscuit surprised me the most with its juicy flavor - this is a must-try at Rambo's. The fried chicken biscuit was as expected, nothing crazy. But what wasn't expected was how much dough the biscuits had! There was more than enough for the sandwich - I ended up eating my sandwich open-faced because the top part of the biscuit was a bit too stiff for me. But I can see how some may take the other half of the biscuit and make another meal from it with a side! The service was quick and pointed - no extra shop talk here. The one thing that was a bit disappointing with service was that we had gone in at 11am, which was two hours after they had opened, and they were just starting to brew coffee. They had told us they didn't have any earlier in the morning, which was strange since coffee is a morning staple for most places that serve breakfast! read more

The oics looked amazing online but it didn't measure up to the hype. I wanted the biscuits & gravy but was a bit hesitant (don't play with my gravy!) So they let me try a teaspoon: flat, white sauce that lacked seasoning & texture & the bacon qas congealed. Soooo I ordered the fig & brie biscuit, Joel ordered the cheddar & bacon biscuit & we shared the scrambled eggs & cheesy hashbrowns: Well the hashbrowns were obviously frozen (mushy & could taste the preservatives in it), Joel said his biscuit was pretty decent. So nice we got it twice! Rambo's offers a great fast casual dining experience in a mildly retro diner environment. The food is outstanding and service equally so. On trip #1, I ordered the pork belly biscuit (pictured) with side of blue corn grits. The pepper jelly really completed this biscuit and gave it that tangy flavor. The pork belly was good. It does, however, resemble more of a pork chop in consistency. It does not fall off the bone per se but is more chewy. Either way, it is delicious. The blue corn grits with pimento were also great! On stop #2, I ordered the chicken biscuit. Order this biscuit. The chicken is fried to perfection with various herbs and spices. Topped with a dijonaise, the biscuit is scrumptious with every bite. This has been my favorite place to grab breakfast especially on a Sunday for the past two years I've been in Columbia. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean plus there is a lot of natural light from the big windows which gives a nice view of N.Main. My favorite thing to order is the BLT or Hot Honey (when available). As someone that only eats from small businesses I love when places like Rambos make everything in house i.e. butter pickles. My husband and I always have about an hour before we have to get back to the fields so we always try to find a local place to solicit, which is how we found Rambo's. We both ordered biscuits to go and had no problems with picking up our order. The space was bright and cheery and I would have enjoyed staying for our meal. The biscuits were huge! This place has been on my list for some time and it did not disappoint. They were so many options to choose from, I had a hard time choosing lol. The young lady that took my order was so helpful and sweet. We talked the entire time I waited for my food. I ordered one of the specials which unfortunately are not available every day. I ordered the chicken sausage biscuit sandwich with arugula greens, egg whites, and instead of the balsamic vinegar I replaced it with the scallion aïoli, which was the best thing I could have ever done. It was so good. I recommend the scallion aïoli on whatever biscuit you order because it compliments it so well and it was so good. The chicken sausage was a patty, and it was a nice size and it was also pretty thick. In comparison to the big biscuit, which was huge and square. I've never had a biscuit that big or square one at that. I didn't get a chance to sit inside the restaurant, but I definitely will be back next time and try the beverages. They have a nice list of mimosa with very unique flavors which I appreciated and they also have different coffee, flavors for the seasons for spring and summer. read more

My family and I did an online order for pick up from here because we were outside the delivery zone. We decided to get a couple of different biscuits and split them so we could try multiple (lol!). We ordered the chicken biscuit, brisket biscuits, sausage, egg and pimento cheese biscuit, bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, and the fried green tomato and pimento cheese biscuit. We also ordered the cheesy hash brown bake. The restaurant is at a good location with a good amount of parking. It was easier to access by coming in from the backside off Main St. from Confederate Ave. The restaurant is a good size and was fairly busy. I went in and had to wait a few moments, but everyone was really nice. They pulled my food put of the warmer and I went on my way. The chicken biscuit is the way to go. It's fried and seasoned to perfection! The pickle and aioli were a perfect touch to take it to top notch. That is the biscuit I enjoyed most. The brisket biscuit was good too with the boursin style cheese that really brought it out. The sausage and pimento cheese was another one of my favorites. It was soo good! The spices came together perfectly. The biscuits are big and enough to split. The hash brown bake was so delicious as well. I wanted more than my portion (haha!) I passed on the pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes biscuit, but my sister is a fan of fried green tomatoes and was excited. As she was preparing to take a bite of her biscuit she noticed and pulled out a long brunette blondish type of hair strand. I saw the disappointment in her face, so since I placed the order I decided to call. I spoke with a gentleman who put me on hold to speak with the manager. He was very nice and polite. Now I included all of this because of this next part and to highlight their amazing customer service! Speaking with the manager and explaining the situation, she offered to complete a refund or remake the biscuit. Again, my sister was visiting and super excited so we requested a remake. I explained to the manager that I picked up the order, and if possible, would have loved for the remake to be  delivered. After placing me on hold and speaking with her staff the manager delivered the order herself which was so amazing. In addition, she added a few extras like an additional hash brown bake and the biscuit pudding. She apologized several times as well. Came here on a Saturday morning. The area to order is almost immediately as you walk in the door so that does make the space really crowded and cramped. The young kid behind the counter taking our order was very pleasant and gave us recommendations. We got the BLT biscuit with pimento grits & the Bacon Egg & Cheese biscuit with the hash brown casserole. Food came out very quick and was hot. Flavor was there and biscuits were good. My biggest complaint is that the biscuit doesn't hold up. After one bite it's falling apart and it makes the food hard to eat. Still love this place! My husband tried the spicy bacon egg and cheese sandwich, which comes with spicy bacon and ghost pepper cheese. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the spiciest, he gave it a 6. He has a high tolerance for spicy foods. Try at your own risk! I had the Brie and fig jam biscuit because I didn't want any meat that morning. The flavors were delicious! I wanted a little bit more Brie on that thickum biscuit, but I enjoyed the flavors. Our two year old son came and had a plain biscuit with jelly. Our picky toddler enjoyed every bit of it. read more

This was my second time having Rambo's, the first time was at soda city. I was hoping this visit would sway me in a different way. I am not a fan of the biscuit. The texture was a little dry and it also was not hot. It was barely warm. I think if I'd had gotten a biscuit fresh out of the oven it may have been better. I also got a side of the cheesy Hashbrowns. They hot and fresh. The customer service was great and the inside was very clean. We had HIGH hopes for good biscuits and were both disappointed. They seemed like day-old over-cooked biscuits because they were slightly dry and the edges were tough to bite in sandwich form. We love a good biscuit, so we were just underwhelmed, honestly. My husband got a pork belly biscuit and the pork belly was not cooked well-chewy and not soft. The chicken biscuit was pretty good! The fried chicken was beautifully breaded and nicely cooked. I did try my sister's BLT biscuit and her biscuit seemed fresher, so maybe it was a miss for ours. But her blue grits were mostly milky, not very dense grits. But my husband was disappointed enough in everything that I don't think we will come back. The biscuits with jam definitely need to be served with butter. I hate to be a tough critique, but a biscuit place needs to have home-run biscuits. We ordered a chicken biscuit, a fried green tomato biscuit, a goat cheese and egg biscuit, grits, and hash browns. Everything was great and very flavorful. I asked for. 1/17/25 I stopped in for lunch at 12:49 pm. Even though there sign on the door stated they open until 2pm I was denied a refill of my coffee. The young lady behind the counter pointed out they were closing soon & it wasn't worth making a full full pot of coffee. I pointed out that they offer refills & there was no time limit of cut off time stated to me. She said she tell me when I placed the original order then she turned around & walked away. Driving from Charlotte to Savannah we plotted out a place to stop and have brunch on the way and Rambo's seemed to be a good choice. It was easy to find and they had plenty of parking. The restaurant is clean and open and has nice light and windows. The service was fantastic, the employee helped explain the menu to us and made suggestions on what we might like. We ordered two different specials. Overall the food was pretty good. I feel like the biscuits were just average, which is fine, but at a biscuit place I expect them to be amazing. The purple grits also lacked in flavor. Other than that the food tasting great. I also wish they used different plates. I don't mind the paper plates but I just wish they were larger.
