This was a wonderful surprise, I have lived in the areas for quite a while and decided to give them a try. They have good reviews for a reason, the real deal!!! We popped in a for a quick lunch on a Monday. The inside has plenty of seating area, we decided to sit at the bar area. Menu has something for everyone, most people where coming in for breakfast. They are very busy as well, waitress let us know that they close at 2p daily. The staff was attentive and helpful. We ordered our food and Yasssss in deed the food was amazing!! Our food came out extremely fast, everything was delicious and hot!! We had the chicken and catfish meal, serving size was more than enough for lunch. Oh did I mention the prices are fair for what you receive. The sweet tea was on point also.... The menu has quite abit and they have a daily special. I was working in the area and didn't have time to dart from my hotel to grab breakfast. Thankfully Creekside delivers through DoorDash, so I was able to order a hearty breakfast straight to my door. I opted for one of the biscuit breakfast sandwiches (sausage, egg, and cheese) and their cheesy grits. The biscuit sandwich was everything I was hoping it would be. The biscuit was the perfect consistency (fluffy, hearty, not the least bit dry) and the sausage was flavorful. It was honestly my first time ever having cheesy grits (gasp! I know!) and they were hearty and delicious. I'm decidedly a fan of savory grits now. Everything was packaged well for delivery and it was delivered piping hot to my hotel room. For delivery? My wife and I enjoyed our breakfast here this morning. The only thing that prevented me from giving a 5 star review was that I ordered blueberry pancakes and was disappointed with regular cakes with compote topping which is loaded with sugar of course compared to real berries. We shared an omelet which was excellent. Krista gave us friendly and attentive service and we appreciate her efforts. We would return another time without ordering the pancakes. read more

I ordered a Western Omlet which should contain ham, cheese, onion and green peppers. The ham was stingy. The ham cubes were about a 1/6th of an inch square, if that and smaller that the chopped onion and green pepper. Service was efficient, but lacking in customer service attitude. When asked if I wanted onion with my home fries, I decline and got a roll of the eyes. Poor attitude. Additional coffee was offered, I replied but didn't get an acknowledgement. Super convenient to downtown Lexington with good food and good service. There are several restaurants and shops in this part of the complex but if you're looking for a country style restaurant, this is it. There are a ton of choices with new specials each day. Their lunch prices are unbeatable and they serve breakfast food all day. The inside of the restaurant is one large open space with booths along the edge and tables in the middle. So this is not the place to go if you like to talk to people without shouting. Because of the industrial set up and nothing to absorb sound, the tiniest noise is amplified. I got there early so there weren't that many people, but it was already getting loud. I imagine around 9am it would be like dining by a jet engine. The food itself was alright. Very average. Food was as average as it gets. Frozen hamburger steak, reconstituted mashed potatoes and jarred gravy. There's no real cooking going on with what I ordered. Service was decent and the atmosphere is ok too but there's 2 considerable issues. One is the distance to the bathroom. It's insane. It's so far I simply couldn't walk it. I have limited mobility and my husband said it was every bit of 100 yards away. I'm not even sure how that's possible but it wasn't doable. Parking is the other issue. We had to park across the footbridge. It's very unlevel getting to the restaurant and was difficult for me. Handicapped spots were few. read more

We went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and got seated within 5 minutes. Service was quick and friendly. They have Fox News playing a couple TVs. Older crowd. Food was okay, but not great. For the price it's a pretty good value. We asked for scrambled eggs with cheese and the cold cheese was sprinkled on top of the eggs after cooking - not even melted. There are very few times since I've been in the south that I can say I've had a really good breakfast. Today was one of those days, this breakfast was absolutely perfect. Three eggs over medium perfectly cooked, toast done to perfection and the sausage links were some of the best most flavorful I've had in a very long time. BISCUITS AND GRAVY ARE THE STAR OF THE SHOW!! The sausage gravy and plain white gravy are super delicious. I could use a little more seasoning on the other breakfast items, bit it did taste better than average. The coffee was a good brew. Fresh and smooth. But I was very impressed with the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fluffy and baked perfectly. As a meat eater, I tend to be bias with sausage gravy but I've tasted both versions here and they are equally tasty. Of course, the staff is very attentive and southern-friendly. The atmosphere has a very local feel to it. It is locate beside an actual creek. And the building has that old, exposed brick, industrial look to it. This place is a great breakfast spot. The diner itself is large, so there's tons of seating. I ordered the breakfast bowl and added onions and peppers. I wish the peppers would have been cooked more, but that's my only complaint. My boyfriend got French toast and hash browns which actually are home fries. The onion sausage was DELICIOUS! Today I was very disappointed with my order from Creekside. While I had visited them before and had a great experience, which is why I ordered from them, today was different. I placed a breakfast order for 2 and while the other person's order had no issues it was my partly filled combo order that was the issue. Their menu allowed me to add eggs with cheese and hash browns with cheese but I received neither. When I called they're going to tell me that it's normally a lunch item and it comes with something else so they didn't provide me with what I order but they also didn't provide me with what it normally comes with. So I didn't get a combo at all. They then tried to tell me I wasn't charged for it when I was looking at the receipt while on the phone with no resolution. Here's the plucker though, the young lady I spoke with had the audacity to call me back and tell me sarcastically I wasn't supposed to get what I ordered and paid for so I said we are not going to agree, let's just agree to disagree. With that being said, they missed the opportunity to make it right and get any more of my coins. They could have called if adjustments needed to be made but they did not. read more

Simply not good. Sorry, just because something is affordable doesn't mean has to be tasteless and lame. The food was cold, soggy, full of grease and bland. I regret coming here. I tend not to be harsh about my reviews, but this place is disappointing. I can't understand how they feature 100% golden spatula.
