We had high hopes for this nearby Ramen restaurant. Having tried on two prior occasions and finding them closed, we finally were able to check them out. The Ramen was bland and just didn't taste like Ramen should. The pork seemed processed and added a strange flavor. The restaurant perpetuates an ignorant Treasure Valley tradition of conflating Japanese cuisine with Thai and Chinese under the "Asian Food " umbrella. The General Tso's Chicken, while pretty good, is a Chinese dish, and Thai Tea is, well, Thai. Trying to do everything results in doing nothing well. read more

We stopped in for a special reason - we have a celiac member of our household, and that makes eating from restaurants a special challenge. In particular, pasta/ramen/asian restaurants have been tough to find good options. So we came in and asked the front desk a few questions. They said they could do rice noodles and check on the broth, so we gave it a trial run. Always a bit of a gamble, but we very much wanted to have a nearby ramen option! The chef himself came out twice to clarify things, and a third time after realizing one of the ingredients in the broth he custom-made for her might have been a problem. The food itself was delicious, and seems to have been completely safe. We -really- appreciated the staff going the extra mile for us - if it had been a busy time we would have felt bad for taking so much time and extra effort on our behalf. We'll definitely try to return during slow hours so as not to disrupt things. If they ever end up adding pre-made gluten-free options to the menu to simplify things (possibly by finding a good GF soy sauce to keep on hand), it will probably become one of our most-visited restaurants! The best ramen we've had in a long time! Spicy options are highly recommended. While the dining room is usually pretty busy during lunch time we've never had a problem getting a table, and getting quick service. They also have take out and delivery with door dash. I have to say. This tastes like home. I grew up taking the metro to little Tokyo in Los Angeles and I missed the flavors I'd encounter on a daily. I won't say this is the best ramen I've ever had. I will say that the quality of ingredients is noticeable, the flavors are clean and the portions are spot on. I hate paying for tiny ass portions. I'm a big girl. lol. We got the beef broccoli, fried beef rice, and tonkatsu ramen. Oh and crab Rangoon. It was fried well and didn't leave a greasy residue or soak up the oil while it was being fried. This is my go-to ramen spot. I have dined in and frequently call in for takeout, both of which are positive experiences in terms of speed and consistency. I always get the Tantanmen which has the spicy ground pork, delicious broth with just enough spice for my taste, a medium boiled egg that has a flavorful taste to it, seaweed, and crispy onions. So delicious I crave it! I have also tried the gyoza, spicy shrimp dumplings, edamame, crab rangoons, and egg rolls. I have enjoyed them all but would have to pick the gyoza or rangoons as my favorites. My husband usually gets the Spicy Miso Ramen which is also very good and packs a solid level of spice. The other plates available like orange chicken and yakisoba noodles have also been well-liked by our kids and in-laws. We also like the Thai Iced Tea. I highly recommend Ramen House. Parking is plentiful as it's in the same shopping center adjacent to the large Kohl's lot, and we have always had very polite and attentive service. read more

Some of the best ramen I've ever had. I randomly found this place on Yelp while after visiting and friend looking for vegetarian friendly options. I ordered the vegetable ramen with extra fried tofu and a hot tea. The tea came out the perfect temperature. The ramen broth was silky and bold and just so delicious I drank most of it. I was really excited when I learned there was finally a Ramen restaurant opening in Boise! And not just a Ramen restaurant, but a really good one. The broth is dialed in perfectly, and every Ramen bowl I've tried the dozen or so times I've been there so far has been really delicious.
