Phenomenal flavor! Kagawa has one of the richest tasting broths I've ever had. There's something about it that feels more 'small batch', 'homemade' over other ramen restaurants, which gave it a uniquely cozy, warm experience. The staff were quick, attentive, and helpful when it came to recommending selections or providing menu information. The restaurant itself is a bit inconspicuous, in where it's situated among the taller building of downtown. Highly recommend seeking out this hidden gem, and enjoying a wonderful bowl of ramen.

This was so fun and delicious! The food was just perfect and the service was quick and easy. I really wish I got the chance to enjoy it more, parking is a nightmare and hard to find in a tight space. If you're in downtown, you have to try the food! Their matcha tiramisu was my FAVORITE part. I don't like matcha but it was so smooth, and flavorful you couldn't taste the matcha. Literal perfection. I love the ambiance although I didn't really like how dim it is. But it fit the theme of the restaurant. Can't wait to come back soon!

Stopped in here for a quick lunch. Service was fantastic. Relaxed and seat yourself but waitress working hard and promptly. We ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu with the homemade spicy paste and soft boiled egg and it was delicious. Highly recommend.

This is one of my go-to Ramen spots in Downtown. The dishes are delicious, good portions, and the service is quick! The vibe inside is very low-key and a good place to bring friends or even solo. Check it out!

Stopped by after parking nearby and was really impressed. I ordered the chicken ramen and added corn and fried garlic -- it was flavorful and comforting, especially the rich broth. The atmosphere was cool and relaxed, and it felt like a place with a lot of regulars who love coming back. Definitely seems like a neighborhood favorite. I'll for sure be back next time on a planned visit. Service was great as well you seat yourself when you get there and the menu is very easy to read as well.

Cute Japanese ramen spot with plenty of seating and nice decor. The servers were friendly and attentive, always checking in. I ordered the Naruto ramen with all the toppings along with a melon Ramune. On a hot day, the server even brought me a cup of ice to keep the drink cold, which I really appreciated. The ramen was delicious--the noodles were perfectly al dente and the tonkotsu broth was rich and flavorful.

I am sorry I do not see a review from my first visit here (maybe 2years ago?). I originally had Tonkatsu Ramen and KAARAGE chicken some years ago. I felt the food was filled with as much heart as it did flavor. I met the owner and he seemed like a very down to earth humble guy. Somebody who cares about the people he's serving Today is my first time back since then. I had the fried Gyoza today, which I enjoy very much. Ithas a very light flavor, not heavy or oily. They served me water without asking, and I that there was no ice, but it was still very cold. Talk to the owner again still very nice person. Every time I walk in here I feel at home. I love it. I hope they stick around for a very long time.

We ordered ramen from this place by door dash. I had the classic miso Tonkotsu ramen and my husband tried the spicy version. It was delicious. The broth came seperate from the rest of the soup. We also ordered a side of pork buns which were very yummy too! I look forward to eating here in person sometime.

Hands down the best ramen in Phoenix. The broth is incredibly flavorful, the bbq pork was delicious. Service was top notch. Will come back again.

Hand rolls ("sushi tacos") - scallop, shrimp tempura, salmon
    Tan L.

They've really improved their menu and service! They now have amazing hand rolls (which they call sushi tacos). The seaweed wrap was crispy. We got spicy tuna, salmon, scallop, and shrimp tempura - all fresh and declicious! Their curry was as good as always, and they've removed the katsu don I wasn't a fan of in my last review. Service was great, and the entire crew is Japanese. Note that the last seating and orders are taken 15 minutes before closing time.

Went here on lunch with some work colleagues. Service was friendly and pretty quick. My Raman was delicious. It's sort of community seating but the prices are reasonable and it's definitely a good spot for lunch.

I ordered hot sake and it did not disappoint. My daughter got a Ramune, miso soup, and shrimp tempura roll. No complaints! Miso soup was missing tofu that day. Apparently they were all out. Nevertheless the soup was very nice! I got two specialty rolls. The names escape me at the moment. The menu doesn't have a huge selection of rolls but I found what I like and both were VERY good! Good amount of fish vs rice. Everyone is very attentive. Service is very good. The ambiance is interesting :) nothing fancy but not too bland either. There are full moon/moon related decorations. The rolls are also named with the Moon theme in mind. Overall very nice and we will be back to try their ramen !

It was quiet and there was just one server taking care of the tables (Caleb). He was friendly and gave us time to catch up and look over the menu before ordering. Nice and crispy shell and packed with veggies, and the dipping sauce was the perfect compliment. The sweet potato roll was delicious & I liked that it had some avocado and crispy crunch pieces inside. Would definitely get that again! Good hit the spot, service was good, and the restaurant was quiet and chill for us to have a nice girl's dinner to catch up!

Upon entering, we were free to seat ourselves and chose a booth by the wall. It was not busy at all and the service was quick and friendly. We started off with a large sake bomb paired with a Kirin Light ($15). We then ordered two Tonkotsu Ramens, one medium spice and one hot spice ($15.99 each). Honestly, the hot spice level did not taste spicy at all, so I would recommend going extra hot if you like spice. They also provide chili powder on the table if you want to add more spice yourself. The ramen broth itself could have used a tad more flavor. I lightly added some soy sauce to the broth which is something I often do to add a little kick. I loved all of the toppings included, from the green onions to the kikurage (wood ear mushroom). My favorite part was the pork chashu, which was really tender and delicious. I also appreciated that the ramen came with a full soft boiled egg rather than half an egg, and the egg was perfectly runny. Before leaving, we ordered their tea special that was buy one get one. We got a matcha milk tea and a cafe latte which I forgot to take a photo of. I felt like the cafe latte could have used a little more sweetness to balance it. Also, I found it neat that Nishikawa offers a rewards program, not something I see often at ramen shops. My true rating would be 4.5 due to some of the criticisms I mentioned above, but overall I still had a good experience. Thank you for serving us. Visited 5/2/26

I used to come here specifically for the Ramen, but the Ramen has never been the same after a bit before Covid had hit and they decided to change the recipe and everything about it and it's just like mid now, but I've recently discovered how good their noodles are. This is probably some of the best chow mein I've had and that's mostly what's carrying this review. I literally am only putting it at three stars because I am still upset about the Ramen situation and how it used to be really good and I can't factor that out of my review lol but what I usually get here is the hot chicken bao bun and it's pretty freaking good pretty spicy too. I'm like white girl level zero when it comes to spices and I think it's pretty spicy but it's super flavorful. The pickles they put into it are really good. I think they like saturate them in something and like I said before the chow mein noodles are just super good. They're not dry and they're pretty flavorful it's great. I'm just hoping one day the Ramen will be better so I can change the review higher lol

The edamame was salted well throughout where a lot of places just put the salt on top only. We ordered a couple varieties of sake which were both good. Out of all of the things we ordered the karange skewer was just a little more oily than were use to, but still good. The spicy salmon roll had really great flavor and the lollipop roll was probably one of the better versions that we have had. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. We arrived a little after 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. But in the next 20 minutes it filled up and there was open sitting at the bar only. The mood was initially quiet but quickly turned more up beat as the restaurant filled and pop rock music was playing. We asked our waiter a few questions about a few of their rolls and he was very helpful with guidance and recommendations. We ordered Salmon Lemon, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado Maki and California rolls to share for two. This restaurant uses purple rice rather than traditional white rice. This was the first time we have tried a sushi roll made with purple rice and we both loved it. It added a nutty flavor and hearty texture. Purple rice is similar to wild rice and far nutritionally superior to white rice with more antioxidant and fiber. Shortly after we ordered we were served a potsticker dish. I mentioned that we did not order the item and were informed the appetizer was complementary. We thanked the server and tasted the dish. The potstickers were nicely pan fried and had a great crust and flavorful chicken filling. Delicious! About five minutes later our rolls were delivered. All were fresh tasting and delicious. Our favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. We loved the pop the lemon added. Honorable mentions to the Spicy Tuna roll, very well done, excellent balance of heat and flavors. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for a quality sushi experience!
