I have a soft spot for anyplace close to my pad that is open 24 hours as I'm the type who is always dozing off and missing the dinner hour, only to wake up at midnight on a Wednesday night starving and with nothing in the house. Rams Diner can always be counted on for a burger or a diner steak. This is the "college diner" so there are always a lot of students eating here, but some older people stop in during the day as well. They do takeout and have a nice big parking lot. I normally get the takeout, but on the occasion we've eaten in, the server (college student type) did a good job. It's a smaller diner so you get a little more intimate atmosphere and more personal service than eating in at the larger West Chester Diner up on Rt 3. The food selection is maybe a little less extensive than WC Diner but if you're the type like me who only ever orders about 5 standard diner items at diners, it's just fine. Stopped at this spot for a late night bite. Ordered chicken and waffles and when I cut into one of the chicken strips it was raw. I told the waitress this who was accommodating. She took my plate and instead of giving me a new chicken strip, they dropped the raw one back in the fryer, which made it hard to bite into. read more

I really wanted to love this place. I liked it I did not love it. My family and I went after church and it was very busy. We we seated quickly and served quickly. The first thing that struck me was the decor. It is decorated purple and gold in reverence to WCU's Golden Rams. Overall the style was Art Deco. The walls were bare. Not a single piece of WCU memorabilia. I would have liked to even seen the football schedule with wins and losses. We ordered a patty melt, BLT, and a kids chicken fingers meal. The BLT was light on the B and heavy on the L. The other meals were alright. I will go back since the Restaraunt is new and hopefully it will improve with time. read more

The only reason why I gave this place 1 star because I could not give it no stars. It was not busy and we waited over 30 min for food. The club sandwich did not come out with bacon. Cool and convenient spot with free WiFi for the West Chester students to go. Lots of options to choose from as far as the menu goes. I had the Crabwhich. It smelled very fishy. It was an "ok" Sammy. I've been there twice , a mixed review here. First time was a early summer, at around 9:00 in the morning. Not too busy, and the food was excellent / hot when served. Great scrapple, fresh cooked as it should be. A nice casual atmospehere . 5 stars on that visit. Next visit was yesterday, around 10:30. Much more crowded, and the servers were in a rush. Ordered the scrapple again, but this time got a pre-cooked slab that was obviously just warmed up. Probably due to how crowded it was , but regardless , not really acceptable . 1 star for this visit. Will give it another chance , but cook to order is what I expect/want. A great décor and friendly staff are other positives. read more

First off, finally! Another 24-hour option in West Chester. We were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was very nice and checked on us just enough. I decided to stop in after partying at the Barnaby's up the street. I was actually by myself which wasn't too bad. The decor is well decorated with the west chester colors (Gold and Purple). They have 3 televisions for your pleasure. No music, but that didn't really bother me. The food was excellent. I order the mild wings which had a nice crunch to it and the right amount of sauce. Then I ordered the Ram Special (2 eggs, 2 pancakes a choice of meat and home fries). You can replace the home fries with toast (which I did do). Everything was great. Love going there for a breakfast date with the hubby. Service is always quick and food is always served with a smile. The waffles seem to be my favorite while the hubby enjoys the omelettes. Today around lunch time (11/23/2021) experienced such rudeness from one of the servers whom I've never seen or been served by in my 3 years of coming here since starting university. Usually most of times I've came here, they tell me to seat myself, never been a problem and I've always been treated amazing! But, for some odd reason today, this server proceeded to shout and tell us she will sit us herself. So we went back to front and patiently waited until she was done doing what she was doing, it wasn't a problem! She made comment to the other server who I've been served by before (she's great/kind server!) in front us saying "Who do these people think they are, thinking they can seat themselves." She proceeded to have a whole attitude towards us when seating us to another booth. I was shocked and turned off, my family and I ended up leaving due to her poor attitude. Disgusting place. Went there for diner one night around 11 p.m. and there was a nose hair in my pasta! The couple behind me also found a weird brown spot in their mashed potatoes. The food would have been great if they took care in preparing it but it was just so gross I would never go back there again. Disappointing. We decided to try something new before a meeting at Timothy's, since we're there about twice a month. Waitress was surly, and didn't seem to want to be there. I ordered a egg white omelette-I think it was called dieter's delight or something like that. I asked for no mushrooms, and tomatoes instead. It came out with a ton of mushrooms, maybe 5 tiny diced tomatoes, and runny egg whites throughout. Toast was really soggy on one side. My man got the Ram All Day Special (think Denny's Grand Slam) with scrapple. Said it was "meh", pancakes were huge, it just very basic, just "ok". I think it's good to keep this place in perspective. If you are out drinking and really need a place to get some food so you don't get the bed spins, this is a great place! However, if you are looking for fresh, quality, creative food, there are soo many other places to eat! It was clean, the service was perfectly fine, but the food was lack luster and the flatware is so cheap that I had a hard time getting the fork to penetrate the breakfast potatoes. Busy new diner in town. We were seated quickly even though there was a line. Service was ok and the food came out timely and hot, unlike some of the reviewers. Taste was average however and for a diner, would expect REAL maple syrup, not a PC of maple flavored corn syrup. My friend had the eggs Benedict which had no seasoning at all. My pancakes were ok but nothing memorable. I agree the decor needs a lot of work. The TVs on the wall are too small to be useful at all. There are four of them but like 27". Useless. A pleasant surprise. We stopped in hoping to find the old school diner that we grew up with. Ram's Diner diid not disappoint us. We were promptly seated our server was also prompt and attentive. Our dinners came out from the kitchen in an unbelievable short time. Everything that was supposed to be hot was very hot and cold items were cold. My wife had the shrimp basket. Came with fries and a choice soup or salad. It was a generous portion of shrimp and fries. The soup offered was a New England clam chowder. The chowder was hearty and full of clams. I chose the diner classic, chicken croquettes. It was a very good rendition of the Classic dish with mashed potatoes and gravy. My entrée included stewed tomatoes, corn and a salad. This new diner serves great food any time of the day or night. The portions are very generous and you will want to eat every bit of it because the food is just that good. Was hoping this place was good but I was not impressed. I got a simple turkey club sandwich and fries. The bacon seemed like a low grade cut and was not Crispy at all. The fries came out luke warm as well. My wife got a gyro and she said she liked it but her fries also came out just warm which was disappointing because we typically eat clean all week and ordering some fries was supposed to be a treat. I would give 2.5 stars if that was the option but I'm a nice guy and I love west Chester so I'll give 3! My boyfriend stopped here for breakfast and really enjoyed his steak and eggs so after the competition that we were in town for, we decided to have dinner here. The food was good, but our server made our experience here delightful. She made us laugh and made us feel at home.
