    Tuna melt

Always good. Amazing view of Badlands. Incredible food. Beautiful 70 degrees day. Great service from Monica. Had the brisket Sante Fe wrap which is consistently yum with the homemade coleslaw. My daughter had the tuna melt with fries and she is a Tina melt aficionado so she rated this one as top tier! Fries were seasoned and crisp. The prickly pear margarita is a MUST HAVE not only for the taste but for the artistry of the pink drink , We played Uno and laughed and had a chill time!

Great little gem in the middle of the desert. The views are amazing off the patio and I would definitely come back. The waiter recommended a burger and the udon salad so we ordered the salad and the Pancho Villa burger - both did not disappoint. Service was great and it's such a quiet place with stunning views.

    Very nice area.

My family and I went to Borrego Springs to see the metal sculptures and wanted to have a nice dinner. This golf course and restaurant is like an oasis! The golf course is beautiful and well taken care of and the restaurant was nice. We sat outside and it was about 90 degrees, but they had misters and fans which made it pleasant. Our waitress was very nice and topped off our drinks without asking. That's a plus in my book! We ordered a cobb salad which was big and the 3 of us shared it. It was delicious! My daughter ordered the salmon entrée which she liked. My husband and I ordered the 14 oz. rib-eye steak. My husband worked at a meat market in Dana Point and knew right away the cut of meat was not a rib-eye based on the lack of marbling. His educated guess was that it was mostly likely a sirloin steak. It was good. We also all shared the Brussel sprouts which was delicious. We were full so we did not order dessert. Of course I regret it!! If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely return. I'd like to come back and play golf as I read it was one of the top 100 golf courses in the US! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant at Ram's Hill is best if you aren't pressed for time or just stopping by for a drink. Their outdoor patio area is beautiful and it over looks the golf course. I was able to see the 18th hole from the fire pit as the rest of the group came to join me. There was corn hole & a fire pit with someone making sure we were doing ok every so often. A group of six of us came to have dinner. The atmosphere was lovely. We sat outside and the desert heat was not an issue. The sounds of drops and crickets filled the air. Great place for conversation because that night boy did we do a lot of waiting. It was really no issue because we weren't in any hurry. But if they had comp'ed us a percentage for the wait... it would have made the situation so much better. The food was fantastic though. Everyone in our group of six found something that they were interested in. I would come back again, I'd just remember to not come with a major appetite.

    The view!

The rams hill restaurant is so nice ! The views are so beautiful and relaxing. Not to mention the staff makes this place really stand out. We had such friendly waitress and hostess , they made our first time there memorable. We had the pizza , recommended by the staff there and it was delicious! This was during lunch so the place was not crowded, and we were able to get a table outdoors with a view. Definitely want to go back for sunset and drinks!

The Mrs. and I had lunch today at Rams Hill Golf Club Restaurant. It was kind of breezy outside, but the hostess, who was incredibly friendly, said the wind wasn't that bad, so we sat outside. Honestly, if you go to this restaurant and don't sit outside, you're wasting your time and experience. A busboy asked us what we wanted to drink so the Mrs. ordered a Margarita and I ordered a Maker's Mark Manhattan. Although, I was somewhat hesitant on what I was going to get. After a short time, Maria, our server arrived with a Margarita and asked me again what I wanted to drink. At this point, we also ordered the ceviche of the day as our appetizer. Maria returned with what looked like beer in a martini glass. Obviously, it wasn't a Manhattan. It didn't have that beautiful amber glow that I've come to know and love. Luckily, Maria had enough experience to know that my drink didn't look right and took it back and returned with a proper Manhattan. For my lunch, I ordered the Rams Hill Signature Burger that was cooked at a perfect medium and topped with house made 1,000 Island dressing, caramelized onions, bacon, and cheddar cheese. I chose fries as my side and I will tell you that the fries are addicting. The Mrs. ordered the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. She didn't rave about it, but said it was good. You'll note that I didn't mention the ceviche. That's because it never arrived. We let Maria know and she apologized. Honestly, it wasn't a big deal because we didn't need it, but Maria brought us a small sample to enjoy. It was just ok. There really aren't a lot of places to eat in Borrego Springs. The town rolls up around 8. If you're looking for a nice relaxing place for lunch or dinner, Rams Hill Golf Club Restaurant is the place.

Having met Jeremy's parents earlier in the day who also recommended his restaurant, and they were just lovely, we had hoped to possibly meet Jeremy too. I wanted to try everything, but we opt on getting a few dishes to share. Our son ordered the filet mignon and they were able to substitute mashed potatoes for fries. Amazing!! The mac & brisket appetizer appeared to be the highlight and specialty and we just had to order it. Every bite was cheeesy and delicious with the brisket very moist. We couldn't go without ordering the Brussels sprouts and it had a twist with ponzu sauce and pineapple. Definitely a different take and I thoroughly enjoyed the taste. Every bite was foodgasmic and I highly recommend!!! I knew coming here that some Yelpers have experienced wavering in quality, so glad we did not experience that at all. As of the date that we came, we understood that the restaurant had been listed for sale, not sure if Jeremy sold it yet or not. I hope not, we plan on coming back this summer!

We all ordered the turkey dinner and my daughter was looking forward to the stuffing but it had pork sausage in it, so we couldn't eat it, we don't eat pork. It would have been nice if they could have made up some plain stuffing for us, but it's not that kind of place or experience. My mom's turkey didn't have gravy on it (they forgot), and we had to ask for dinner rolls (they forgot). Also for any vegetarians out there, there wasn't a single option on the menu. The soup to start was barely edible, and the pumpkin pie for dessert tasted like cheap store bought with artificial whipped topping. Practically inedible. If they're trying to cut corners, food quality isn't the place to do it! Service was friendly but inexperienced and awkward. My daughter had to ask for a fork, and our candle wasn't lit. Those little things an experienced server would notice. I'm actually surprised the staff is so poor considering the prices, they're getting good tips! The ambiance was nice however we were seated next to a door which led outside and it would slam every time a server went in and out. Our appetizer of Cambozola cheese with chutney, roasted garlic, and nuts was absolutely TO DIE FOR! We still can't stop talking about it and we had this meal 5 days ago! Needless to say, we will be attempting to duplicate this spread at home. Our entrees of Grilled Salmon and the Portabello Wellington were quite delicious as well. To wrap up our meal, we enjoyed the Flourless Chocolate Orange Cake, and the Brûlée Cheesecake. I have to mention that I didn't taste any orange in the cake, but it was delicious all the same. Service was amazing, so quick to come out with fresh chips and salsa (FRESH! as in they made the chips in-house... rare trait to come by these days IMO). Quantity of food was incredible. I can't speak for the menudo (dad got this) or for the 3 egg platter (not really sure why my mom got this) but $16 for a carne asada burrito as well as the beans, rice, and veggies on the side was such a steal. Especially in Anza Borrego. I would've thought it would maybe be more expensive since it probably costs a lot to bring out the best ingredients in the desert but somehow they have it all figured out. The carne asada burrito meat was top tier. Smoky flavor, soft with charred edges, so flavorful and overall the quantity of the burrito was way more than I was expecting. Lastly, I'm just so happy my dog got to sit outside with us. They have a shaded patio with a couple tables. I think other pet parents followed suit, as this seems to be a hit for dog-friendly spots here in Anza Borrego. I'd highly recommend. What a great find by me. Go me!! Free tacos at the turn -- such a fun and unexpected service perk that really hit the spot. We had several meals at the clubhouse during our stay, and overall the food was solid and the cocktails definitely delivered. That said, during peak times, service can slow down quite a bit -- something to keep in mind if you're on a tight schedule. We booked the stay & play package and made the most of it. By the fourth round (thanks to the free replays), we really got to know the course well. If you're striking it well off the tee and can read the greens, there are definitely scoring opportunities. But when the wind picks up, it adds a serious layer of difficulty -- so adjust expectations accordingly. All in all, a memorable trip and a course I'd absolutely recommend if you haven't played it yet.

My son flew in from Dallas, Texas for his birthday, and playing this beautiful desert layout was at the top of his list. One of the perks that sealed the deal was Rams Hill's generous birthday offer--free play after 12pm. A classy gesture from a course that's long been one of my favorites in Southern California. The only downside? It wasn't my birthday. With rates having climbed significantly, I did my best to convince my son to consider a more affordable option--maybe even something closer to home--but he held firm. He knew this course had always been high on my list, and he wanted to experience it for himself. As always, we were greeted with friendly smiles upon arrival. We warmed up on the range and soon met our starter, Don, who got us going. He mentioned the cart service running throughout the round and also let us in on a great surprise--complimentary street-style tacos on the 14th. That definitely raised some excitement. This course truly is a visual treat. The tee boxes were tidy, and the fairways--at least from the tee--looked lush and inviting. However, it didn't take long to notice something was off. Walking up to the first green, I couldn't help but say, "Yikes." The surface lacked the smoothness and softness I'd come to expect from past rounds here. I stayed optimistic, hoping it was just an isolated issue. Unfortunately, while the greens improved slightly as we went on, the fairways told a different story. Several holes had patchy or thin lies, and in some areas, it felt like we were hitting off very little grass at all. I found myself increasingly frustrated--not just because I had talked the course up so much to my son, but also because of the price point. When you're paying a premium, it's fair to expect conditions that match. On a positive note, the tacos at the 14th were excellent and a fun touch. However, we never saw the beverage cart for the entire round, which was surprising given it had been mentioned at the start. All in all, Rams Hill still holds a special place for me, but this visit was a letdown compared to past experiences. For now, it may come off my "must-play" recommendation list--at least until either the conditions improve or the pricing better reflects the current state of the course.
