The food is amazing, but if you want to be treated right you need to be the proper race. Went in with my wife, both Caucasian. Gave her name at the door and watched as they prepared a table for us inside. We were told it would be just a minute. Then, our friend came to join us. He's not Caucasian. He's African American. Everything changed. The table that they were setting up for us was no longer available and we were seated in the back corner of the patio by the trash can. The door to the patio that had been opened since we arrived, was now closed. It was freezing outside, none of us had brought jackets because we thought we'd be eating indoors. No biggie, back to the car for jackets. However, definitely went with the theme of the night. The food was amazing, though after it was delivered we never saw anyone again until it was time for the bill. Nobody asked if I'd like a refill of drink, nobody asked if the meal was okay. It's a shame, because the meal was good. But I don't want to eat add an establishment where I have to choose carefully who I eat with if I want to be treated the same as everyone else. read more

I have gone to Rancho Los Magueyes for years. Since the covid-19 pandemic hit they closed. Once they reopened, we were served by their family members. They never wear a mask, they don't believe they should ever have to, and if they do it's below their nose. They are not vaccinated and don't believe they should have to. How do I know they are not vaccinated? They told me they weren't. So, I asked one of the brothers and he said he doesn't believe in vaccines. I asked him why and he spouted out BS about Biden. Now the truth came out, this wasn't about vaccines, it became political. These idiots are putting us a risk with their ignorance about vaccines that are political and NOT ABOUT SCIENCE. I've been coming here for years. It's my most favorite Mexican Food place in the area. Love love it!! Salsa is great and the table side guacamole is amazing! They make it in front of you. It's a must have!! Food is great and atmosphere is chill. Would be nice for them to lively it up a bit with some modern Latin music like Mana, Pitbull, Enrique, Shakira etc... My only two suggestions would be the music and the bar stools. It's a really tall bar and sitting on the bar stool I feel like a little kid lol. Have to add: the Cadillac Margarita's are bomb. The food here is legitimately consistent. One of the best chile rellenos I've ever eaten lives here. The batter for the chile and the sauce is to die for. The first time I had enchilada suiza was here as well. Super delicious! The rice is always tasty, moist, and soft. And the beans are a great consistency and are very flavorful. Every time I come here I am always greeted with smiles across the board. I've gotten to know some of the servers and the service is always great as well.
