We had Katen wait on us for dinner and she was fabulous! She was kind, great with our kids and a very thoughtful server. She made sure we had everything we needed and had great dinner suggestions. We added a small side of steak to split for our kids and she made sure each kid had enough and even had the steak cut up. She talked to us about our up coming trip and was very engaging. We were delighted to have her the following day when we dined for dinner. Everything came out perfect, she checked on us multiple times and was extremely accommodating to our wants and needs for dinner. The following morning we dined for breakfast and had Kendra wait on us. She was also amazing. All of the staff must be fabulous because each time we were there we were blown away by the friendly, helpful and thoughtful staff. Kendra not only provided great table service, but she was a delight to talk with. She gave insight to our trip and gave great suggestions for future trips. We were one time crunch and she made sure we ate and got to our next destination as quick as possible. Thank you both again for such a great stay and thank you for taking the time to talk with us!

They had NBA finals and World Cup on while we were there. The place feels cozy and they welcome everyone. We both ordered fish dishes. The walleye and the honey salmon. Food came out after a while and we really liked our dishes. The fish was cooked perfectly and came with a nice, flavorful sauce, instead of just some bland veggies. Overall we liked the walleye a little bit better. We were happy to find some items that are at least a little bit on the healthier side. Our waitress super friendly and quick with everything we required. Would definitely come back here.

So when I was checking into the hotel, I asked the guy at the front desk if he could recommend any…read morerestaurants. He said without a doubt if you're a chicken fan you got to go to The Roost. I was all in To be honest, this place was a little difficult to find and took me about 10 minutes once I got to the location. It is located across the street from the McDonald's, and turned sideways so you really can't see the name of the restaurant from the street. But once you realize it's there, it's not hard to navigate through and around to find a parking spot Walking into the place it feels very hometown and rustic. It has a lot of patio seating and a lot of indoor seating as well as bar top seating along the window which is really nice. The girls at the counter were fun and friendly, I ordered the Nashville hot chicken with a side of fries and asked what to drink. Without question she goes. You cannot go wrong with the lemonade. It's the best ever. So I had to opt in. I took a seat at the window and just kind of hung out and checked the place out. It was clean, well maintained and you could tell they took a lot of pride in the place. Plus they had a framed signed aluminum plaque on the wall when Guy Fieri came through and did an episode of Diners, drive-ins and dives here Sandwich made it to the table, and while the fries were not as hot as I would hoped them to be, they were still very tasty. But the real star of the show is the chicken sandwich. Some places when they mean Nashville hot they actually mean Nashville scalding. This sandwich had just enough kick to make your mouth notice. Something was going on and maybe get a bead of sweat on your forehead. But the flavor was so balanced with the pickles and the coleslaw on the sandwich. Every bite was simply magical. Now while your mouth is still tingling from the Nashville hot sandwich, take a sip of that lemonade to cool down. The combination here is absolutely off the chart. The bottom line? I would absolutely 100% eat here again. The only reason I did not give it five stars was the fries. Other than that, the sandwich itself is definitely worth the trip if you are ever in the Bozeman area.

The interior felt comfortable and cozy. My chicken unfortunately was so dry and I was so underwhelmed. It didn't even have any distinct flavor/seasoning so I was very disappointed and wished I didn't waste a meal here. I don't think I'll be back.

The food and drinks were excellent, but the highlight of the night was Trent. We were looking for recommendations on things to do in the area, and Trent absolutely delivered. Scenic drives, sightseeing spots, Yellowstone stops, local attractions--you name it, he had a recommendation for it. The suggestions were coming faster than we could write them down, and every time we thought he was done, he'd remember three more places we needed to see. His food and cocktail recommendations were spot on, and he was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. As an added bonus, his voice carries exceptionally well, so hearing all of those recommendations was never an issue, even on a busy Friday night. Copper is a great spot, but Trent is what made the experience memorable. If you find yourself sitting at his bar, settle in--you'll leave with a great meal, a great drink, and a much longer list of places to visit than you arrived with.

Food and service was pretty average - we like to order an adult beverage before dinner and peruse the menu. We were told the bar was backed up so we should get our food order in. So, not a take-your-time kinda place. Not rude, but not chill. Shared a 1/2 portion wedge salad @ $12 - perfect for two and tasty. Main entrees were a bit disappointing: 8 oz Tenderloin Filet @ $54 was cooked a bit more than requested and it came with (2) baked potatoes which we've never seen before (+ $4 upcharge). The Pan Seared Trout @ $34 was prepared nicely but there is not any flavor; served w/ a Blackberry BBQ but very sparingly. Super bland. Would come back to visit the bar - would consider ordering a burger, but wouldn't return for the main entrees.
