A great little place A best kept secret. Worth the drive! You shouldn't miss it. You're going to feel welcome so, what are you waiting for? Located on Ave 12 in the Ranchos (Madera Ranchos,) directly across from the Pizza Factory, this is a great breakfast spot. What about lunch and dinner? I don't know. This was our first time here... but we will be back! My husband ordered their Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. It comes with your choice of potatoes (hash browns or country,) and either toast, biscuit, biscuit and gravy,or a pancake! The Chicken Fried Steak was cooked perfectly. My husband said that it was nice and peppery but not overly salted as in many restaurants. I had a bite and agree that it was very good. The hash browns? Not greasy, not salty, not bland, and they were perfectly browned and crispy yet fluffy. They were seriously the perfect hash browns! I had the Mexicali Breakfast. It is served with a generous portion of carne asada and refried beans, potatoes with chorizo, eggs, 2 different salsas- both mild, and your choice of tortillas. I subbed country potatoes in place of the potatoes with chorizo. The meat was perfectly cooked, seasoned simply. No gristle or fatty meat here! The country potatoes were delicious. Not only were they well seasoned but they were perfectly cooked- a little crispy on the outside and tender, fluffy inside, with the perfect amount of onions and bell peppers. I can't tell you the last time I had country potatoes that were made this well- but the last place I had some, at a very popular restaurant in Fresno's Riverpark, they were terrible! These were perfect. The cook here could teach the other restaurants how it's done! The refried beans were good- served with a touch of melted cheese on top instead of being drowned in it, Yay! Even the scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked- they weren't dry, they weren't over cooked or runny. I'm talking perfect.. And I don't even like eggs that much. Even the tortillas were heated well. You might think that's funny to mention but some restaurants don't do that very well. You'll feel welcomed whether you choose to eat in their very comfortable indoor dining area or on their nicely shaded patio. They don't offer substitutions for pork products on the menu at this time so there's no turkey or vegetarian sausage or bacon options available. We were told that they might be adding turkey bacon soon and that they do offer a veggie option for their burgers. Their previous customers knew what they were talking about when their reviews said everything here was good because everything we had was delicious! Our server, Lorena, was super. If I had a restaurant, I'd steal her!! Even though she was swamped, she was all smiles, made sure that we were happy with our orders, greeted other customers without making anyone feel like she was rushed, and made sure we had everything we needed. You can tell she enjoys working here because she kept telling us how great the food was, about the weekend specials, brunch events on special occasions and catering. This woman is seriously the best advertising this restaurant could ask for! She deserves a raise! read more

Remodel is very nice and extremely clean, lots of room and outdoor patio space is available. Service is outstanding, Server's are very friendly and tentative to our needs which is great! Food is good but not as good as I've had before! Tri- tip was a bit over cooked and rice pilaf was very bland. Fresh vegetables were delicious I'm sure I'll be returning to try something else. read more

This is the first time I've ever been here but I was visiting my buddy in the ranches and he highly recommended them. The service was great as soon as we sat down they started taking care of us right away. We ordered breakfast and I will have to say it was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. 5 stars plus more. Food is amazing and service is top notch. We felt very welcomed and loved. My husband is a biscuit and gravy and pork chop guy. He was very impressed. Pork chop was thick and juicy, cooked to perfection. Gravy was very flavorful. I had chile verde omelette, which was also very good. Pozole and menudo are packed with flavors. We will come back for those after a party night. We found a gem and almost don't want other people to know about this place. read more

Their food is so good! We tried the tri-tip and chicken fries steak. Best chicken fried steak I've ever had. The tri-tip was flavorful and tender as well. The veggies were perfectly cooked. I love the amount of garlic but my boyfriend said he could do with a little less. Hopefully they extend their menu and continue to grow! read more

This place is great. Finally a place I vtge Ranchos worth a drive into from Madera or Fresno. Service was awesome and the food was out of this world. I ordered the Club Sandwich and my wife ordered the fish and chips. There was so much food left over we took home two big carrynout boxes. Lunch for tomorrow, sort of a two for one deal. Giving 2 stars because the food was good. But the experience wasn't. Called in a to-go order and was told 25-30 mins. Went and grabbed coffees to take some from somewhere else and went to get my food. They couldn't find my order and said they would take it again and the food would be ready in 10 minutes. 40 minutes later I finally got my order and got home and it wasn't even right. Didn't offer anything to make it right -- not only ruined the breakfast but the coffee too after sitting in the car for 40 extra minutes. The country fried steak was excellent, though. Didn't get the biscuit I ordered so not sure about that. No syrup included with my pancakes so not sure about that either. Burrito was pretty good. read more

I eat there four or five times a week. Doesn't dissappoint. Salads are great. The steaks are delicious. I tried the tritip, and it was amazingly flavorful. I normally get the New York steak. On Saturdays they have prime rib, which I look forward to. The staff is friendly and they meet the customer's needs, always. They have four tvs going. It can get a bit loud., but that is because everyone is having a good time. read more
