Rand Aire was amazing, I had multiple companies come out and bid on our project. I felt like my home turned into a used car sales lot. A few companies came in with a "great deal" but only to say we needed hazards removed which increased the price (And they would schedule the hazard removal company??? Sounds like a sham to me) Another company came in and said "nope, there is no hazards." But the price was through the roof. Service Requested: central AC and mini-split AC My central AC and mini-split were not working during the hottest time of the year, OF COURSE. I reached out to Rand Aire and Randy got back to me right away and we scheduled a time for him to come diagnose the issue. I appreciated Randy's transparency. It took a few visits to my house because he was trying to troubleshoot one issue at a time without just giving me a blanket overhaul and unexpected large bill. Ultimately, we refilled the refrigerant, swapped new capacitor, and even needed the fan replaced. On a different occasion, Randy's team came to give the mini-split some TLC to get it up and running again. OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. It was a challenging job in our old home. We had a non-working old HVAC that needed to be demoed out and fully replaced. Randy's team came in and demoed the old system, replaced all our ductwork and installed a brand new Bryant 4 ton 38MURAQ48AA3 with matching 40MUAAQ48AA3 fan coil and ecobee thermostat. I had them install a new AC unit in my commercial building. A month later our complex installed a new roof and the roofers damaged some of the AC work Rand Aire had done. Tremendous service by Randy and Rand Aire. Highly highly recommend. Randy deployed to our home with an inoperable fan not allowing A/C to flow in home. FAST I called randy from a recommendation on Facebook. I had been looking for an all new system for my home for a few weeks. I had just had a larger company not even show up or call for a quote. Randy answered my call and was able to show up for a quote within the hour. Of the 8 companies I called, his pricing was right on and he was delivering quality equipment. Plus his team was able to get it done in less than two weeks. EASY We agreed to get the job done and scheduled. Randy and his team showed up on time and ready to work. There was a crew of 5 including Randy and they started at 8:30 am and finished at 6pm same day. They removed my old 1994 carrier system which had failed dramatically and was r22 based so it was time to upgrade. They setup an american standard 4ton 16 seer complete system (heater, ac condenser and attic blower). Plus hooked up the wireless Honeywell thermostat the same day. The first night we enjoyed 70 degree temps within an hour or so. Something we haven't experienced in our home since winter! The house was left clean and there wasn't any trash or mess left in the yard. They did scuff a wall but were completely upfront about it and helped fix it immediately. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family. My AC has been out for around 5 years. We've made do over the summers with our window units but finally decided it's time to pull the trigger on having it fixed/replaced. Over the years I've had estimates ranging from 7K-10K for a change out of our furnace and air conditioning system. My unit is located on the roof of our house so it requires a crane to change out which makes things even more complicated. Every contractor I've had come out has told me that I need to replace the whole unit. When I asked my handyman to check it out he said it's possible that it might be able to be repaired. Let me just say right now, thank goodness for Randy and Yelp for pointing me in his direction. I sent out a request from to 5 different contractors this afternoon requesting an estimate on repair/replacement of my unit. Randy promptly replied and told me he could in fact get me a free estimate on the unit, and if I was willing to pay a service charge he could diagnose and troubleshoot the unit. I thought, what the heck? Why not, if anything else it will be another estimate to compare apples to apples! Randy came out today (the same day I contacted him) to our home to meet with my mom while I was at work. He checked out the unit on the roof, and after doing so proposed the idea of changing out some parts to see if it would work, and if it did, he'd charge us for the parts, and if it didn't, he'd take his parts and just charge us for the service call. Once again, why not?! Maybe he'll save us a few thousand dollars... Guess what? He got the air conditioner working! Our AC unit is old, and it will break sometime, probably fairly soon. But Randy saved us a ton of money on replacing the unit, and I am so grateful there are people who are honest (and very reasonably priced) that provide service to the Orange County area. When my unit does go out, I know for a fact I will be giving my business to Randy. Integrity, honesty and character are something that you can't put a price on, and this man has those traits in spades. Randy is the real deal! My furnace wasn't working. I had another HVAC company come out the day before and they said they wouldn't repair it and I needed a new part that would be about $700. They said it was better to just replace the whole furnace vs repairing. Scheduling with Randy was easy. He arrived on time. Instead of trying to sell me a new furnace -- He determined it was the thermostat not communicating with the furnace. He had a new digital thermostat in his truck. Randy is the man! He saved my family from this year's 115+ heatwave. I called 5 or 6 companies and left messages with all of them when my compressor fan went out. He was the only one who texted back.
