My two dogs have been patients of this hospital for a few years. The technicians (shout out to Skiyya) and doctors (shout out to Dr. Torres and Dr. Ho) have treated us like family whenever we came in, and continue to! Recently, I had to put one of the two dogs down. When he was brought in, we were seen promptly. It was recommended to bring him to the VCA because of the severity of his condition. Dr. Torres placed a call to get him seen immediately. When we rushed in, it took 5 minutes tops to get him seen and treated. During a very devastating time (first pet loss), I felt very supported. i never would not expect a call from a vet to ask you( the owner) to assist. terrible service... my dog was immediately judged being a rottweiler.not at all fiesty nor aggressive, just busy and curious not ever showing force. he had surgery on his paw.the vet called me as he was waking up,not fully awake but coming out of anesthesia asking me to come and assist with putting his muzzle on because he growled when the attempt was made.when i arrived to see that he was still half dazed. i asked,who is a trained in this establishment. nobody answered.. will never recommend this place. read more

I took my 6-year-old guinea pig here multiple times from July to November. She just passed away last Friday. She came to them with ONE issue and by the end had around five different problems. Instead of actually investigating what was going on, they kept dumbing everything down to "age," which felt like a lazy excuse rather than medical care. They had me get compounded medications that didn't even arrive in time to help her. I followed their instructions, spent the money, and trusted their guidance, only for it to be completely useless. There was zero urgency despite her condition clearly getting worse over time. After she passed, I emailed them to let them know. Within an hour, they deleted her entire profile. I wasn't even able to see her most recent weight so I could properly arrange her cremation. That felt incredibly cold and unprofessional. Overall, I feel like my concerns were brushed off, her decline was minimized, and when things ended badly, they wiped their hands of it instead of showing any accountability or compassion. I regret trusting them with her care. I will not take any future pets here and I wouldn't recommend anyone with exotic pets to go to this vet either. read more

We transferred to Randolph Animal Hospital a little more than a year ago after getting fed up with nonresponsive treatment from our previous vet and I'm so glad we did! The staff is friendly and helpful and our vet - Dr. Ho - is simply outstanding. She is so gentle with our 15-year old kitty and always answers all our questions, whether in person or over the phone. There have been times when I've called with questions and she's been out of the office, but she's always called me back the same day - how impressive is that? She's also willing to listen and discuss any ideas or suggestions I might have about prescriptions or treatments. I am very happy with our experiences at Randolph Animal Hospital. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. During our most recent visit an elderly man came in with his pet and seemed to think he had an appt. with them. He was a bit confused but the receptionist calmed him down, asked him a few questions, made a couple of phone calls and straightened things out for him. She was very kind while she resolved the issue. She could have simply said he didn't have an appt. and sent him packing, but she took the time to help him.The doctors are very gentle with our cats and do their best to keep them comfortable while doing whatever tests and exams are needed. I have taken my dogs to =Randolph Animal Hospital for the past 20 years and no matter who we see there, they always offer the very best of care. My Yorkie and PBGV dogs were seen today for checkups and were diagnosed and treated for Lyme. My yorkie was very nervous before his appointment but came out a very happy little dog. I left 2 practices because of poor treatment by front desk people. NOT here! STEPHEN is WONDERFUL!! I have also been very happy with the Drs. I have not been inside of the practice. I absolutely love being able to remain in my car and have one of the very kind & compassionate Vet.Techs. come to my car and then return my 'Bobby' at the end of the exam. I then receive a tel. call from the Dr. The first appt. we had, when this was still the mandatory procedure, I was a bit skeptical. The post-visit tel. call was not rushed and the Dr. took plenty of time going over Bob's entire exam with me, No rush all of my questions thoroughly answered and lots of information explained to me. But now I hope this practice will follow this procedure forever. I am in my mid-60's and although I am very healthy I prefer this procedure as if, God forbid I contracted Covid, I have no one, other than Bobby to take care of me. They were horrible with my cat. Please note that they do not keep the comfort items with your pet and they returned my cats bed to me soaking wet with another animals urine. My cat has been terrified of vets ever since this nightmare experience. I only left her there for 3 days while we were traveling and my 10 lb cat lost 1 lb of weight as I do not think that they were feeding her. She's so compassionate and just a loving person. I can't say enough wonderful things about her. My last few visits with my new yorkie "Romeo" has been with a new Dr. DiMarzio and she's been just as fantastic as Dr. Harrington. I personally brought my dog into another animal hospital on the weekend due to my dogs health issues and because my primary vets office was closed that day. So my dog was treated and released that day. 2 days go by and my primary vets office called and asked for me to come in and do a ReExam of my dog. So I went in and they stated, they needed to do the proceedure over again because their is still some left that needs to be taken out. So I said ok to it. (even though they should have stated to go back to the aniamal hospital it was performed and they would do it again,free) Anyhow, I let them take the shot at me since I was there. After that, they told me to revisit in 1 week to do a ReExam on something that was done that day and she specificly stated it was free, no charge at all. So I made the appointment but I could not make it, so my Mother went to the appt. My mother went and everything was ok. The Doctor stated that she will need to make an appointment for my pets annual exam because it was due in a couple of weeks. So my mother stated my Son will call to make the appointment because I don't know his schedule. Weeks later I get a bill for $90 approx. stating it was for my pets Annual Exam that I never called to make the appointment yet or gone to. I called and tried to resolve it with 3 employees and everyones answers were all different. I had one guy stating he wanted to resolve this for me but all he did was keep repeating that "this is what I see on the report for the Doctor" over and over after I told him my story. He made no sense and had no intentions to resolve this issue. I told him that the only way to resolve this is to get the Vet on the phone so we can resolve this with no middleman, he said, she said no deal. He stated that's not happenning! (He sounded like Ferris Bueller's Teacher but cocky). So, at the end..no resolution over $90 and they sent a collection company after me...how silly! I have paid over Thousand of dollars on my pets Vet bills on any calender year without blinking an eye! And they want to play crooked tactics like this..I would love to hear anyone that has gone through this. read more

I have been bringing my companions here since the first day that Dr. Susan Harrington hung her name on the door. So, I guess from the start of this practice, I have been a client. I live in Boston I travel to Randolph Animal because of the care and compassion that my four-legged buddies get. i would never, ever consider anywhere else. Susan has cared for our collection which over the 17 + years have included Collies, Pug (2) Boston Terrier (2) not to mention the gang of cats. When I have had to make that final choice to send them on their way, Susan and her staff have always been very supportive. Finding a good Vet is as difficult as finding a good Primary Care for yourself. For me I found Susan years ago and would highly recommend this practice to anyone, actually I usually do. read more

Okay, I love this place!!! They are kind and honest about what you need to seriously be doing to keep your pet healthy. One of the techs has been consistently very good. I love the way Cindy tells me she can't administer anything when I'm around. ( my boy goes nuts). I totally trust her! But every one there is great! Absolutly no complaints. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Harrington and her staff. She has been our vet for close to 20 years, through 6 dogs, 2 cats, and a rabbit. She is a caring, thoughtful, person who truly cares about you and your pets. Every other vet & staff person we've dealt with through the years here has been great too, especially office mgr(?) My previous Vet over at Banfield was terrible. He was rude and I didn't like the way they treated my pets. After moving to Randolph and shopping around for a Vet. I heard many recommendations of Randolph Animal Hospital. I am so very glad to have my pets being taken care of by these wonderful staff and vets. My Pomeranian and Scottish Fold both had their routine check-ups and dental + operations here. I highly recommend this place! The area is GREAT too! Dr. DelVecchio talks to my cat before he talks to us. Which I find very comforting for my cat. Its also funny to watch and listen. Sure, the price could be high, but most animal hospitals are.They accept care credit! read more

Over the last year or so, have found my experiences at Randolph Animal Hospital becoming worse and worse. It takes weeks to get an appointment and was even forced to go to another vet hospital for my dog's rabies vaccine as they claimed they could not fit her in before it would expire. When I arrive for my appointments, consistently greeted with no one else at the hospital so must admit I am a little confused why they are "so packed" with appointments that they would not allow me to bring my other dog to be seen at the same time I had an established appointment forcing me to take the day off from work to ensure my dog could be seen that day. While some of the vets here are wonderful, had an encounter with one of their vets which has caused me to finally make the decision to find another practice for my dogs. This particular vet literally scoffed at me during the appointment when I explained how a certain medication caused a rather nasty side effect for my dog and told me it wasn't possible (guess I should have saved the tarry stools as evidence but was not aware I would be prosecuted over them). She also brushed aside my concerns over my dog's issues and insisted we run a more expensive version of a test run 3 weeks earlier (it was negative) which, unsurprisingly, also came back negative. It also negated the medication she prescribed. The vet continued by berating me for not switching day cares despite having my dogs at one I can trust and where they are comfortable. One of my dogs has an issue of eating rocks (commonly used in the outdoor areas for multiple day cares - not just this one) and while I agreed to try a solution to stem the behavior (muzzle) the vet continued that because I was not currently considering switching their day care that I "wasn't considering the long-term health of my dog." I might not be the perfect dog parent but I have spent thousands of dollars, and countless hours, trying to help improve my dog's well-being and have to admit I did not appreciate the tone and accusatory attitude from a vet I had never seen or spoken to before in the 3+ years my dog has been going to Randolph Animal Hospital. Have no issue with a vet expressing concern for my dog, and making suggestions, but the entire appointment she spoke to me as if I were an idiot and not worth her time and since I paid almost $200 for the appointment think my money is better spent with a vet who may be opening to listening. read more

I recently stopped taking my dog here. They charge much more than surrounding animal hospitals for everything. The "doctor" that was seeing my dog was a wierdo. He would talk to my dog instead of me which was insulting and annoying. My dog's name is Tyson and he would say things like "Now Tyson you should take your owner for more walks so you and him can get more excercise." The combination of the strange vet and the fact that I can get similar care for my dog at a lower price helped me decide to not continue going to Randolph Animal Hospital. read more

She has cared for and advised care for more than 11 dogs with us. During fun visits and not so fun visits, Dr. Harrington and her staff are the best. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.. The vet was very insensitive, she told me more than 3 different times that my chocolate lab would die if I didn't get her treated because she had pyometra and that her uterus could rupture and she would die from the toxic puss. She could not have been more wrong. She told me that she couldn't treat her until she did tests to see how bad it was. She also said that she may need an emergency spay but wouldn't know until after the tests. She performed an ultrasound and then did blood work, she then misdiagnosed my chocolate girl and prescribed her unnecessary medication. But then she said the dog was well enough for me to take home and just to watch her and I was told to come back in 2 weeks, and we would plan her spay. I did everything the vet said because she is the vet and I trusted her to accurately tell me what was wrong with my dog, but they didn't. After about a week my dog seemed to be growing in size, she was showing all the signs of being pregnant, but how can that be when the vet at Randolph Animal Hospital said she had pyometra and was on the verge of dying. I took her to the VCA in Weymouth for a second opinion. The vet was so nice and good to my dog and to me. Another ultrasound was performed and they saw at least 5 puppies, not pyometra. Never take your pets to Randolph Animal Hospital they haven't got a clue and care more about how much money they can get from you than your pets health. read more

I am very honest in my reviews - probably too honest. I have had nothing but love, caring, support, excellent service and respect from the staff and vets at Randolph Animal Hospital. I have been going here for about 3 years and have 4 dogs (don't judge). If I have questions or need something, they call me back the same day. The staff can name all my dogs without looking it up in a file (I don't go in all the time either). When I was losing my older dog, Sophie, Dr. Brahm would call me personally just to tell me that tests were okay and I had nothing to worry about or explain to me what the poor test results meant and to answer any questions. I will always be thankful to Dr. Brahm for her kindness during that difficult period of losing a pet. I'm not sure what kind of experience others have had for this place to have anything less than 5 stars but, when I asked FB for a local vet, Randolph Animal Hospital was overwhelming recommend to me by my friends in the area. If I thought that this place was anything less than great- I would be listing the faults I experience (which are none). I really have a lot of respect for the staff and the vets and recommend this place to anyone that wants excellent care for their pets. read more

First of all, the service here is excellent. The staff is friendly, helpful, and do great work. I've brought both my cats in for routine exams and to check for a possible bladder infection. The reason I'm giving them a low rating is because the cost of service here is absurdly high. Previously I brought my cats to a vet (Animal Rescue league vet services) in the South End (where you'd expect services to be overpriced) and I never paid close to what I've been charged at Randolph Animal Hospital. For a comparison, I just paid $240+ for a visit for my cat that involved one lab test. I've paid less for visits with lab tests AND medication at other places. While the staff is good, I won't be returning because I've consistently overpaid for services I've paid less than half for at other places. read more

We have been taking our 13 week old puppy here for his regular care since we got him and have been happy enough. Today, he fell coming down the stairs and would not put weight on his one leg. They took him in and offered to board him until he could be seen this afternoon. When I went to get him they said he checked out and was perfectly fine. They didn't even charge for the boarding or the quick exam. I would highly recommend them for the way they treat the animals and their customers! read more

I just returned from here after my 1st visit for boosters for my new puppy. I could not have been more impressed. I was reffered by a neighbor and she was right on the money. Everything from the cleanliness of the facility to the receptionist, assistants, and doctors were first class. They took the time to explain every procedure and offered advice on all apects of raising a dog as well as answering all my questions. They even faxed in forms that my ins. company required. Found this animal hospital while driving down Rte 24 with our dog in distress. From the moment we walked in the door, they were wonderful. To a person they were professional, kind, and compassionate. Dr. Brahm is as good as a vet can be. She knows her stuff, explains it in simple terms without being condescending, and has just the right words to say in a difficult situation. We don't live in the area so they knew we wouldn't be regular customers but they treated us like we were lifetime clients. Their care of our dog could not have been better. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this vet. Have been going there for 10 years, taking 2 different pups over time. Each and every staff from the front desk, to the techs to the doctors take their time with each and every patient. They listen, they ask questions, and are knowledgeable. Never rushed. They talk facts and science, and make sure you understand everything. They also only recommend diagnostics or treatment that's truly needed. I've never been steered wrong. What strikes me is that they take so much time to just speak with you about findings, treatment, and to just process things. Sometimes I call just to ask questions and they always give me the time over the phone to ask anything I need. All of the staff are genuine, thoughtful, generous and kind. I have a positive experience every single time. We've had several different doctors treat our pets and the quality of care is always consistent.
