First the positive. The Donuts are Good fresh, sweet and puffy : ) But in my experiences, the service is so rough. I went here when it first opened and they were a bit sharp. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was brand new and busy. I just didn't go back for a while Went back yesterday (a year or so later) to get donuts for work again. The ?manager ? In my opinion was so rude again. It was 5am and sooo cold and Windy outside. I walked right up and opened the door like normal, but as soon as I stepped in, I got yelled at ! ! Wait outside ! A lot of hype on this donut shop from Los Angeles and it's just hype. Ordered 4 donuts and only 1 of 4 was just ok. Now all 4 donuts were very soft and fresh. The issue is the glaze they use it has a bizarre taste and because I only like simple donuts the buttermilk, old fashion, and twist all had the same bizarre taste and it's not the cake it's the glaze. Visited here for a coffee fix before heading back on the road. This review is solely based on the drinks and our experience at this store because we didn't get any donuts ironically. Parking: This location is 4 min away from the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa. There's a large parking lot with plenty of spots. Ambiance/Environment: The indoor is spacious, but there's only a couple tables and seats. It's very clean and quiet inside. No outdoor seating. It's more so a quick grab-n-go. The donuts are displayed and labeled. Prices are on the menu. Service: There were 3 workers when we arrived. The cashier that assisted us was simply nice and efficient. Throughput was quick after ordering. The 2 other workers that were conversing needs to work on their professionalism because they were swearing out loud. Drinks: I ordered their seasonal drink Iced Butter Crumb Latte. It was definitely sweet. I didn't really care for the foam because it didn't taste like much. The drink itself was cookie flavored and creamy. If you prefer your coffee sweet, then this is the drink for you. Pricing: Of course prices are more than average. Place is clean and the donut options are great if you go early. The donut quality is also good, considering, the toppings are a little messy and all over the place for quite a few donuts. We only come when on this side of town. Been here three times since finding out they are open. Two of the three times, we had the same employee. She's kind of rude and doesn't seem to enjoy her job. Looks at some people as if they're a bother and treats some people that way too. I didn't ask her name, I was too unimpressed with her service. She makes you not want to go inside. That's why there's a three star. Donuts alone would be a 4-5 star. She kind of ruins it. But I will say here are the donuts we've tried. Butter crumb top, coffee crumb, and mango Tajin. The coffee crumb was okay. The butter crumb top is amazing. Just less powdered sugar as it gets too messy to eat. And the mango Tajin was actually very good. Highly suggest trying those donuts. I decided to skip dessert after dinner and go to Randy's to get a doughnut instead. It's been probably 10 years since i've had a doughnut from a shop and not at a meeting. I parked on the side and tried to get in the front. Then I saw a sign to use the other door toward the drive thru. Entering there, I walked up to the case. There weren't many "regular" doughnuts but there were many with special toppings--the kind of doughnut to which the doughnut world has evidently morphed. I got two doughnuts--a raised vanilla and a s'mores. I brought the doughnuts home and decided to tackle the raised vanilla for dessert. This monster was thick and about 5 inches in diameter. I cut pieces out until it was small enough to pick up and eat. It was very good. The vanilla icing and sprinkles were good. It wouldn't be a doughnut I'd buy for work. Everyone would have sprinkles and pieces of glaze all over. I saved the s'mores for the next morning which I enjoyed after the gym instead of my normal breakfast. It was good but there's just too much with the chocolate and marshmallows on top. I didn't see any but don't they just sell a normal glazed doughnut anymore? These reminded me of the ice cream floats that have all the goo running down the side of the glass. Knowing they have coffee and boba drinks, I may return to get something to drink and a smaller doughnut. Not being a doughnut aficionado, it's not a place where I'll often return. Randy's Donuts is definitely a big part of my childhood, so I'm always excited to stop by whenever I'm craving donuts. I usually go to this location early in the morning and the donuts are always fresh, delicious, and the customer service is on point. The only downside is going later in the evening it's a completely different experience. The customer service tends to be mediocre, and the donuts are never fresh. I've been told more than once, "what we have in the case is all that's left," which very disappointing. What really sets Randy's apart from other donut shops is being open 24/7 with fresh donuts, but unfortunately this location doesn't live up to that promise at night. Absolutely LOVE Randy's, I drive past everyday on my way to work and find myself hitting the drive-thru for my favorites at least 3X a week. Everyone on their staff are friendly and fabulous, but during my last visit I truly had an exceptional experience. I placed a mobile order through the app (highly recommend if you haven't already tried it!) and pulled up for my pick-up. At the window Dawn handed me my bag. After recognizing my name on the order, Dawn wrote a little message on my bag thanking me and wishing me a happy day :) It's the little things like this that separate the good places from the best ones. You can get an assortment of them and pay based on what you get with a little discount for a dozen. We cut up the donuts so we all could share and try different ones. If you like lemon, the Lemon Old Fashioned is my favorite. The Red Velvet was also an overall favorite. I went in a little after 5pm on a weekday. The place is super clean. I had these donuts delivered to my house over the weekend, and they arrived in a large, beautiful box with the donuts laid neatly inside. We got a variety of classics, but the star of the show was the glazed twist! I know it's a simple donut, but there is something special about this one. This was a nice little find. We moved from California last year, and I was really craving some of the donuts from back home. All I could find here was Pinkbox or Saint Honore, which I had tried previously and thought was overhyped/not worth the value. A local friend recommended this spot, and it did not disappoint. The donuts here are super fluffy and traditional, but they also have seasonal flavors and more "fancy" concoctions. I stuck to my go-to, which is a coconut flake donut. It was delicious! This location is new and it's located on Charleston, from downtown Summerlin. There is ample amount of parking available and there is a drive-thru at this spot! Stop by for the first time and purchased a bear claw and it cake doughnut. The cake donut was quite nice and very flavorful. The challenge I had was with the bear claw. It was filled with apple pie filling. I have never seen this before in a bear claw, as they are always filled with an almond paste. In a city that has been inundated with donut shops, I was super excited about this franchise coming to my city as I have never been to the original location in Cali, which I am sure is the best. Randy's Donuts has been in Southern California since 1952 and the rooftop donut is their iconic symbol. I waited till the frenzy ended when they had their grand opening and decided to give them a try. I drove to the Rainbow Blvd location first. Employees were kinda bored and not a lot of excitement coming from this store. The donuts we bought tasted pretty dry. Next I tried this location on St. Paddy's Day and again these donuts just didn't blow my doors off. They tasted like they had been sitting for a while and again on the dry side. Service was superb here though. Very friendly and helpful workers. Interior was very clean too. Perhaps the key is to get here very early in the morning for the freshest donuts. They sell out of all their donut selections but besides that it's good to have a drive thru shop that's sweet & perfectly expanded bread! I stopped by here because I desperately needed coffee before a doctor appointment. And I am so glad I did! I got an iced caramel mocha latte, and it was so good! It was better than Starbucks, and I am a huge Starbucks fan! I also had the Oreo donut and the raspberry filled donut, I believe I've had the Bavarian filled one too, but I don't remember. All were so good! They greeted me as soon as I walked in and were really nice, so good customer service!
