I like this coffee shop because they specialize in coffee and they have a full restaurant menu with Latin food offerings. The first time I tried Markers & Finders was at their original location downtown, and it appears that they've expanded their menu since they opened their second location at Downtown Summerlin. There's a good amount of indoor and outdoor/patio seating at this location. The last time I was here, it was hardly busy, but the service was a bit slow. Their lattes are delicious, especially the Mexican Spiced Latte. I've had the lomo saltado, yucca fries, empanadas, and other dishes I can't think of since I've been going here for years, but I remember them all being delicious. Stopped by on Saturday (06/20/2026) with a friend for brunch. For drinks, I ordered the iced salted caramel latte and my friend got the iced coconut turmeric latte. She enjoyed hers, but she said the turmeric flavor was a bit overpowering. My latte was sweeter than I like and I didn't get much of the salted caramel flavor so that was a bit disappointing. For food, she had the MF Sando and I had the coconut turmeric chia pudding. The breakfast sandwich looked great and she enjoyed it. The chia pudding was confusing though. I've ordered it here before and it has never been "green". Looking back at previous Yelp photos, you can see the difference as well. The flavor was off this time too, with an almost dirty taste, which was disappointing. Service was fine, just a little slow. It was pretty busy so that's understandable. They do have a nice outdoor patio with a great ambiance. The outdoor tables have umbrellas for shade. This place is exactly what I wanted today! We ordered the "Morning Power" and the "La Paisa Arepa" For the Morning Power we substituted the Egg Whites for regular scrambled eggs. It also came with Spanish Rice, Grandmas Black Beans, Queso Fresco, Avocado, Salsa Roja. The La Paisa Arepa was a delicious combination of sweet and savory. It consisted of Short Rib, Maduros, Black Beans, Queso, Fried Egg, Single Avocado, Crispy Chicken Skins, Honey. The short rib was seasoned well. And the Maduros which were sweet plantains gave it a contrasting taste which worked well with everything. The Crispy Chicken skin gave it a nice texture. We came on a Sunday at around 1pm and we were seated right away. Our server was quick and attentive. Our food came out in a timely manner. It was a nice vibe in there with the setup and the decor in the restaurant. Looking for breakfast places for Mothers day for a party of 11 was relatively difficult! When I called into Makers & Finders a few weeks before Mothers day, I asked if their restaurant in Summerlin took reservations. When I had mentioned for Mother's day breakfast at 9:00 A.M, they were able to book the reservation with no issues for a party of 11! A few days prior to the reservation, a team member at Makers & Finders called to confirm that we were still good for the reservation, which was great that we had a follow up from the restaurant! I also received text messages as well! Makers & Finders is located in Downtown Summerlin, next to Macys. My family and I ended up parking in the open slots near Macys and walking over to Makers & Finders for our reservation at 9:00! Luckily, we made a reservation because there was already a lot of other parties waiting to get seated inside the restaurant! Our tables for a party of 11 was near the restrooms. Service was amazing at Makers & Finders. We had placed a variety of drink orders before ordering breakfast! Some of the breakfast orders at the table included the following Steak & Eggs The Shorty The Power Burrito (Grilled Chicken, Rice, Egg, Queso, and Sour Cream) Empanadas (Beef) Turkey Club and so much more! The team members at Makers & Finders are outstanding! We waited about 25 minutes for our order, but what was great was that we were all served at the same time! No one had to wait for their meal! I enjoyed my Power Burrito! It was customized with the grilled chicken and omitted the salsa and beans. I ended up only eating half of it and my husband finished the other half! The eggs were a great addition and the grilled chicken was seasoned perfectly. There wasn't much sour cream or queso in the wrap, but that's okay! There was plenty of chicken and eggs though! I finally got to try out Makers and Finders but not the full experience. We went about two hours before a dinner reservation so we didnt get to fully indulge in all the offerings. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had a happy hour going on with discounts on drinks and appetizers. We had berry empanadas that come with ice cream and chocolate sauce. I thought it was very tasty. I didnt need the chocolate sauce part but still ate most of it. We also had a smaller portion of nachos which I thought was filled with toppings for each chip. My espresso martini was good but Id like to take advantage of a mimosa flight next time. Its small inside and one of the tables is very close to a restroom so we opted to sit outside on a hot day. Came here for breakfast this morning. We ordered the bacon, eggs, and potatoes breakfasts . The meals were good. I also ordered a cappuccino and my friend ordered a coffee. Not sure what's going on with the coffee beverages lately, but the flavors are not what they used to be. After adding 3 sugar packets to the coffee it was still undesirable to my friend and he left the mostly full mug on the table. My cappuccino was okay, but not something that would keep me coming back for more. This was my second time here and I love their empanada flight! It was a little busy when we went sometime around 12-1pm for yesterday's lunch so the service was decent but the food took a little longer than expected. So this time I got the paisa plate and I ordered the steak medium but it was pretty rare like a dark deep red color with a charred layer. Now maybe this is on me for not saying anything to the server but I didn't want to be a hassle and I figured it would take a while before I got my steak cooked correctly so I ate it anyway. I ended up having really bad stomach issues right after eating it.... And I'm still having pains the next morning. That was my only issue but our server Yohanna was super sweet and very helpful. Im a little disappointed because my cafe con leche drink was watered down and they didn't add the sweetened condensed milk. My vegan empanada flight was good, BUT the soy chorizo and the black bean empanadas were both over fried and was a dark brown in color with a little bit of burnt taste. I came in around 10:00am on a Wednesday. The staff was friendly and quick and the establishments interior was very clean and well kept. I ordered the empanada bowl which consisted of two empanadas (both I got chicken), rice, spring mix, and a mild spicy aioli. My food was very good, everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I really enjoyed the portions and everything was well seasoned. I would like make a few comments on the coffee I ordered. I got a brown sugar shaken latte no mods. When I got it and drank it in my car I noticed there was a dark layer at the bottom of my drink and I wasn't sure what it was so I stirred it up. Upon first sip the drink wasn't very sweet and I'm not one to have a drink be super sweet but it tasted like the only sweetness was from the creamer they use. And for the dark layer on the bottom I'm almost certain it is coffee grounds. I tried isolating it and I'm almost positive that is coffee grounds. I'm not sure how they brew their coffee or where it is poured from but it almost made it undrinkable. This was my first time here so maybe it's a normal thing they do but I've had a lot of different coffees and when grounds are present, it is a mistake when it was made. I would love to come back and maybe try something else but I thought this specific experience was something worth mentioning. read more

How to have a 5 star experience: 1. Be patient. Downtown Summerlin is busy, this place is popular. If you are hangry grab a free sample at Ethel Ms across the street while you wait. 2. This place is for eating, not for talking. Maybe they wouldn't have the music so loud if just quietly enjoyed your food. J/k They just have bad acoustics. Talk loudly, this is not the place for secrets. 3. They have daily specials. Empanadas are only $3 each on Wednesdays. My favorites are the Chicken Tinga and Spicy Mushroom empanadas. 4. The Fruta smoothie is worth the wait. So yummy! 5. The servers have always been friendly towards us, probably bc we say please and thank you. We tend to go in the mornings when they first open. So far we have enjoyed everything we ordered except the breakfast empanada. It was good, but they have much better options like their Latin Hash or Arepas for breakfast. In the afternoon its quite busy, so we usually get our smoothies to go. It takes about 10 minutes from the time we order to the time we get our drink. It's clear they are local favorite, so it can be a little bit difficult to get in sometimes, but service is outstanding, even when they're busy, and there is plenty of shopping around to keep you occupied while you wait (can't resist a visit to Lush next door!).
