    Sliders
    Rich W.

Came in on a Saturday with the fam for breakfast since The Pantry next door was packed. The host was inviting and convincing to have us try this place as we stood near the door. Place was relatively empty with a table for 2 the only other guests here at 10:45 am. We ordered the following dishes: the Confit Chicken Hash, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Chicken Fried Chicken and a side of sliders. All dishes were good, except for the pancakes which were dense and faint taste of lemon. The fried chicken breast were moist and crunchy on both dishes, and the sliders were good. Once the lunch hour hit around noonish, people began to fill the restaurant. Once we began to head out, I looked around the tables and noticed a lot of burgers and pizzas being ordered. Will try lunch items next time since that seemed to be the vibe vs. a spot for breakfast.

A place that I have been meaning to try for a while but never got to it....and finally we're here. I would have tried something else but I had literally just gotten done eating an entire pizza 4 hours prior so I got the beet salad cause I'm healthy or something. I opted to spend $6 to get 3 pieces of shrimp bc I'm ballin out of control. For $21, I would have expected more than just arugula, 3 pieces of shrimp, and 2 beets but here we are. The wife got the burger done medium. Medium is pink all the way through in case youre wondering. The meat must be ground in-house bc it had 3 or 4 big pieces of grissle/hard cartilage... I don't mind the cartilage in the grind, but this needed to be ran through again in a finer die. Fries are like In-N-Out fries....except they're good and dont need to be ordered light well. Fresh not frozen. Sodas are $3 and canned, no refills. No bang for the buck. Some positives, some negatives. Would I come back.....eh... maybe. 3 stars.

We were in Roseville today and wanted to try something new. My family and I were searching for places to eat and stumbled upon this restaurant. Upon entering, the host greeted us and was very inviting. She also gave us menus to look at and did not pressure us at all to eat here. After looking over the menu, we decided to give this place a try. The ambiance was very elegant with live music and modern decor. One aspect that really stood out to me was a separate dining room that was separated with a barn door. After being seated, our waiter immediately got our table waters and after spilling a little on the floor, he was quick to clean up the wet spot on the. My family decided to get multiple dishes so that we could all sample each item. The fried chicken and waffles were solid. The waffle was nice and crispy and the chicken was tender and crispy as well. The fruit was fresh and sweet. The lemon ricotta pancakes were a bit dense and dry but the lemon flavor really stood. I liked how there was a layer of cream between pancakes, which helped moisten the dish. The confit chicken and hash was decent. I asked for the potatoes to be extra crispy, which was done to perfection. The egg was over easy and perfectly cooked. The chicken had a good amount of seasoning but was a little dry. As for the chicken fried chicken dish, the chicken itself was moist, tender, and crispy. The carrots were seasoned well but the mashed potatoes lacked seasoning. My overall experience was satisfactory and I would return for brunch if I was in the area again.

Made reservation for Valentine's Day Dinner. Ali was our Server. She was super attentive and made sure we were enjoying our evening. Our dinners were amazing and the cocktails were delish.

We were super excited to try range, kitchen and tap. Diners tip: make reservations. They do take walk-in diners, but this is a smaller restaurant, and if you're dining during typical dinner hours, a reservation will help. We were greeted by a server, not a seating hostess. There were no signs of tables being marked with the reservation card, Syd almost seemed silly to have preemptively made a reservation, just to be seated pretty much wherever. As it turned out, the server that seated us, apparently was the server for the entire restaurant. Yep, one server for an entire restaurant with tables that were filling up with multiple sized parties. Maybe she's one of the owners, or maybe she's just a very overworked server. In any case, it was obvious that she was trying to keep it together while serving all of the tables. Well, I feel for her situation, the Service across the board was not great. We had to specifically say we wanted to order an appetizer and drinks, and being able to do that wasn't offered to us. It pretty much felt like place your order and let's keep moving. We ordered the artichoke and boar dip. Best choice on the menu! The dip was served with seasoned pita. It was the perfect amount of pita, with the generous amount of dip. Please keep this on your menu! It's excellent across the board. Super tasty, and just one of the best appetizers that we've had as of late. Took quite a while for the server to come over and take our dinner order, and I had a few questions about some of the menu items, by the time she came to the table, I ended up settling for a burger. Not what I really wanted, in fact, we both ended up ordering burgers. One bison, burger, and one beef burger, served cowboy. The bison burger has an up charge of two dollars. The cowboy burger is supposed to be served with bacon, whiskey barbecue sauce, fried onions, and produce. Pictures are worth 1000 words, and I've now learned that sometimes things look better than how they taste. The beef burger tasted like meatloaf between two less than tasty buns. The whiskey, barbecue sauce, it might be made in house, but someone definitely needs to taste it before they serve it. It was bitter and did not help the burger. The fried onions were pretty much nonexistent , and the bacon was more on the underdone side, rather than on the done or even slightly crispy side. They all overall taste was really unappealing. The server came to check on us when it was time for her to drop off the check. So there was no way to really possibly correct the issues with both burgers. I was looking forward to a different type of dining experience, and it's sad that this isn't a restaurant that will be on our regular rotation.

This was the current special with goat cheese and peaches.

Food and service was great only down side was beers were a bit expensive at 9/10 bucks each.

Cowboy burger - tangy and juicy not sweet- Came with whisky bbq sauce, fried onions, pickles, tomato, lettuce and cheddar cheese

In short: -Beautiful interior- rustic chic -Great friendly service -Non-traditional menu with upscale palette. I had an appointment in the area and my boyfriend was kind enough to drive me So I figured I'd take him out for an early dinner before we drove home. We arrived around 3:45pm which is apparently the time to come lol, because the dining room was refreshingly empty with only one table in the back taken. I wanted to try a pizza because the pictures had me drooling lol. We ended up ordering half the jalapeño popper pizza and half The Range pizza, which was the special- with peaches, goat cheese, mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula and balsamic. I just tasted a leftover piece at home and I think it tastes even better then fresh as the cheeses Solidified and flavors melded together fyi. The jalapeño popper pizza was better warm as the thin seasoned crispy crust tastes better that way. It came with perfect pickled jalapeños that were tangy with a bit of heat, pepperoni, good sized bacon pieces and a drizzle of ricotta cheese. Both were yummy with nice thin crusts seasoned with herbs and Parmesan at the edge The boyfriend wanted to try the Cowboy Burger sub bison for $2. It came with Whiskey barbecue sauce, fried onions, cheddar cheese, pickles, lettuce and tomato on a toasted brioche bun. It was good, not as sweet as expected more tangy from the bbq sauce and pickles. The bun did get soggy but it was still good. We shared both Everything was good, the fries that came with the burger were particularly good, with the perfect crispiness to softness ratio and a great seasoning blend! Yum, I'd come again and try a classic burger and those fries! Or try another unique pizza option The offer beer and wine offering from local brewery's. Gavin got a beer he enjoyed. We would gladly return if in the area again Thanks guys!

Loved the food and service. I am a meat eater and they always have a great variety in f beef, chicken and wild game. Salads too. I took some baked goods home for breakfast the next day. The blueberry muffins were moist and delicious

Amazing chicken bbq pizza. The bbq has a hint of wine flavor.

Service and ambiance is really really good. World class 5 star restaurant hidden in Roseville. The food is farm to fork, and everything is super fresh and delicous. Prices are very reasonable. Great place for families, meeting friends, a date, or just a good meal if you want to spoil yourself.

10/10/10/10/10 experience. The food is incredible. The place has a great vibe. The staff is incredibly friendly and kept checking on us to make sure we liked everything or if we needed anything. Would absolutely come back again. The jalepeno popper pizza was amazing. The artichoke dip was my absolute favorite. My brother got the range burger and the beer cheese sauce was to die for. Can't wait to revisit!

Q1227 easily became one of my favorite dining experiences in Sacramento…read more We started with the lobster bites and broccolini. The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is easily one of the top restaurants I've been to in Sacramento. Definitely worth a visit.

Flash forward to this afternoon, they called my dad's cell phone to confirm the reservation. They never mentioned anything about the restaurant being closed for a private party or anything. My elderly parents show up for their reservation, only to be turned away by the host due to a private party! When my dad explained they had a reservation and paid for their table, the manager came over to speak to them. The manager said he would refund their reservation charge, but did NOTHING to make it right. They called and confirmed just hours before, turned them away at the door, and didn't even offer to get them a table for the next day or anything. For elderly parents with mobility issues, it's hard enough to get out of the house on a normal day, but to be turned away at the door due to mismanagement of their establishment is just embarrassing. Won't be coming back. Ever.

Bold flavors, expert preparation, pretty on the plate and generous portions. Bambie had the 1/2 chicken fried southern style. Crispy ouside, soft and moist inside. Side of mash potatoes, side of perfectly sauteed carrot slices. I had a cesar salad. Fresh, crisp, again a big portion. The dressing was a perfect balance of creamy, piquant and a tad peppery. The croutons were crisp and flavorful. Best Ceasar salad that I've had in years. My main dish was the pork carnitas tacos. Topped with heaping mounds of shredded cabbage. Creamy sauce on the cabbage. A side of mild-ish chipotle salsa served on the side to pour on the carnitas. The tacos were so big that they were almost too unwieldly to hold. But I persevered and gobbled them like there is no tomorrow. Satisfying. A big hungry guy will be perfectly happy after polishing off the plate. Wine selection is small but has the usual good suspects in the reasonable price range. Mostly California wines. I live 2 miles from this place. Tonight was my first visit. Oh yeah I'll be a frequent return customer. Highly recommended.

We tried this spot out for the first time this morning after driving by it for years. The Owner's Yelp business description states they "specialize in breakfast", which sounded awesome. Reviews and photos looked so promising. Our experience was nothing like what others have shared though :( The space is nice and spacious, with an old school vibe which we liked, and we were so hopeful upon entering for the first time. Service was polite enough...but felt insincere and disinterested in taking good care of the customer. The one employee who I felt actually cared was the hostess, but the waitstaff seem to just be going through the motions. We shared it was our first time coming and we were excited to treat ourselves to a rare breakfast out. We needed a few extra minutes to study the menu since it was our first visit, but then we got forgotten about. I attempted to catch the waitresses attention numerous times with no success. After waiting about ten minutes longer than was reasonable, I did seek out the hostess's help in tracking down someone who could take our order. She was super apologetic, but of course it wasn't her job as she was busy seating people and handling her own tasks. The biggest disappointment was the food - in looking back at the photos the French toast we ordered looked nothing like the photos - first, when I asked what the difference between the 1/2 and full order was we were told it was 4 slices vs. 6 slices. That definitely seemed to justify the price so we ordered a half order for my young boy and I to share. What came out was shockingly different - it was two tiny slices of bread that looked like the inexpensive sliced grocery store bread. Because it was already small thinly sliced bread before being cooked, it was truly tiny once plated. We were honestly surprised they felt comfortable serving it. Maybe they ran out of their thick large French toast bread? No matter, they certainly shouldn't have served what we received though. It was confusing and embarrassing, IMO. So, we were misinformed that it was a 4 slice portion when it was 2 small thin slices of bread cut in half...that is not 4 slices of French toast. And then the waitress didn't come around our entire meal so I couldn't inquire about it until we were done. I ended up giving the French toast to my boy who ate it all in under 120 seconds, no joke (because there wasn't much to eat) and then he said he was still hungry. I, too, was quite hungry. Other family members agreed that the taste was good, but nothing special, and the servings did not match the high prices. So, the food was tasty enough but the portions were unreasonably small and do not justify the price, the service lacks greatly, and the misinformation was truly disappointing and misleading. When I did politely ask at the end about why she said it was 4 slices vs. 6 slices the waitress backpedaled stating she meant it was 4 halves vs. 6 halves...and then she apologized that we were leaving hungry and offered me a biscuit. ??? Why would I want a biscuit? I just wanted the meal the waitress told me I was ordering. I wanted what some previous customers have shared in their photos here. The French toast in the photos here on Yelp looks legit and exactly what we wanted and expected...again, so odd the kitchen staff felt comfortable plating up the order we received. Zero quality control there. Honestly, it was just a weird and disappointing experience that had us leaving hungry and unsatisfied, so we went home and prepared a meal there. We are super chill people with realistic expectations, so for us to struggle with this first experience says a lot about how subpar it was. The price of a soft drink is unreasonable as well ($5) - which isn't a huge deal, but with the disappointing food it was just the icing on the cake. A large cup is served but it's completely filled with ice. When asked if we wanted a refill she brought a small cup over with 85% ice and some soda, using that small cup to refill the large cup...splashing soda all over the table and then having to use her dirty damp rag shoved in her apron pocket to clean it up around our food plates, which was definitely unsanitary and made us cringe. There were customers there though - not sure if they were first-timers like us due to the new Farmers Market, but maybe they do have a repeat clientele so none of this matters to them because they can keep their doors open without new customers like us. Sad to try a local business we were excited about and then have this disappointing experience. We envisioned making trips to the new Farmers Market across the street often and then enjoying a wonderful breakfast afterwards, as a nice new Saturday morning tradition. Sadly we will not be returning to this restaurant.
