This place went downhill FAST. We started using them one year ago based on the great reviews. The first couple of times, the technician they had was great. He explained everything, was very thorough, definitely detail oriented, made sure to have me sign off before charging me. The most recent session - the guy sprayed the outside...and left. The service is both for inside AND outside. He still made sure to run my credit card. So I had to call and have them come back out. He did come back, but since I work and have the kids at home due to pandemic, I do not like wasting my time. This guy was awful. Previously we never got any bugs inside. Not in the summer, not in the fall. The sticky pads in the garage caught a few scorpions. This time? bugs everywhere, inside. So I had them come back out again. To their credit they did not fight me. However, I requested a specific technician that did a good job previously. Receptionist said she would send him, and he should also be able to quote me on a preventative termite spray at the same time as well. Different technician shows up saying he has no idea what he's there for. Why doesn't HE call his office and ASK? What happened to being prepared and taking accountability? I explained he needs to respray everything. Also, this guy didn't have a mask on and wanted to keep chatting inside, over the kitchen table. I had to disinfect everything. Then I ask him to give me a quote on the preventative termite spray per my previous conversation with the receptionist. Nope. He "doesn't do termites." At this point I'm fed up. I told him forget it, they lost extra business. Complete lack of communication. They send a guy out - unrequested, unscheduled. THEN, they CHARGE ME FOR THAT UNSOLICITED QUOTE VISIT, y'all. I call them yet again asking what this charge is for and they say it's for the service. There was no service. "ohhhh. that was a mistake." Completely disorganized, they have no clue what they're doing, they half ass everything, and they charge you for things they shouldn't. I'm done. read more

I'm a writer, by trade, a second or third one, anyway, but it's days like yesterday or people like Courtney who make me wish that instead of a fiction writer, I wrote sonnets, cuz... let me just say... the girl is incredible. A true one of a kind! I have written Courtney's office folks at least 3 times in about the same amount of months about how awesome she is, so they're probably really getting tired of hearing this, but... dude. First thing you should know? Courtney's knowledge base is beyond compare! If you've got, chances are she not only _knows_ it, but she knows about it, and more importantly, how to fix it! She's a boss when it comes to bugs, so if you've got a problem you really need help with, I can't think of anyone better to talk to! The second thing you should know is that Courtney will treat your family and your home (furry friends included, even though she is allergic, and again, handles it like a boss!) the way you'd pray... with compassion, true interest or concern, and with the gentleness and MOST IMPORTANTLY (bringing someone into your home!) the kind of trust you just can't always find! I'd literally trust her in my home ALONE, and that's really saying something! I'm not a naturally trusting person, so! ;) You can look back through Yelp or Google and see so many examples of people who find Courtney really unbelievable. One of those rare instances where too good isn't too good to be true! She's a real BEACON to her company! It's my true belief that she helps give Ranger the name is has here in Austin, Texas! We have used Ranger for insect control (cockroaches) and they always come back and do follow ups and are determined to take care of the problem. Recently I hired them for rodent control, and was so impressed their Rodent Specialist, Michael. He was professional, honest, matter-of-fact, on time, communicative, personable, and did good work closing up gaps in the masonry and soffet of an old stone home to prevent rodents from entering. He was price-conscious, knowledgeable about rodent behavior, cleaned up, and worked with me to let me get involved in the work so as to keep the price more within my range. The service today was the standard quarterly service. Courtney noticed a wasp nest by the front door and garage and immediately set a plan in place to remove them. Then she took the time to mention that I might want to pick up the debris before the new puppy finds them. That was some serious customer service. We signed up for their recurring quarterly service and have had some recurring issues where: 1) Technicians would come outside scheduled window 2) When they do show up in the window, not ring the door bell or knock, and leave a "sorry we missed you card". It is apparent that the technicians are under pressure to complete calls as fast as possible and an easy way for them to do that is skipping the interior treatment. The latest case was the last straw for us, as we confirmed via our door camera that the technician never rang the bell/knocked. While they will send a tech back out if requested - there was zero acknowledgment that they made a mistake - and considering we have to make special arrangements to ensure someone is home during their visits, it is a major issue. They can help with one off issues - but the recurring service is hit or miss. Update: I received a refund for the most recent service read more

I love Ranger Termite & Pest Control! They are pet friendly which is hard to find! We got the initial $195 treatment with the quarterly $95 (per quarter) treatments and we are more than happy with it. We had german cockroaches and were not able to get rid of them no matter what we did. I was so embarrassed at how bad our issue had gotten, but Mike was nothing but compassionate and friendly. He was thorough and walked us through after-care for the treatment. Whenever I had questions, he was knowledgable. They came back for two treatments (our roach problem was...scary...) and were nothing but gracious. Each time, they updated us on the status of the pest control and gave after-care steps. They are also very accommodating with time. Sometimes, they will have some time shifts and can actually come early to the appointment. I have used Ranger multiple times over the last couple of years with good experiences. It wasn't until the last few months where they cannot seem to fix my ant issue. They have been willing to send a technician out at no cost twice actually (which is pretty darn good customer service) - however, the problem still hasn't been fixed. More ants are currently in my house than when they were originally called to help. Although I like the company and have had good experiences with them - I am probably forced to look for a different company because their product did not solve my ant problem. Update: Melissa was terrific and is sending someone out again. I feel bad to take up so much of their time but she truly cares about her customers. Update 2: Melissa sent a new technician. He was extremely thorough and was able to finally get these ants out of my house! I'm so happy I don't have to look for a new company because Ranger has been perfect. We've been using Ranger the past four years, and while they've always been solid what really sealed the deal for me on how great they are was the most recent service call they came out for. We have a toddler who removed a plastic port from a wall they use to spray pesticides in. Any parent knows that once a toddler gets a hold of something, it's gone for good. Unfortunately, this port isn't commercially available, so I gave Ranger a call, explained the situation, and they had a technician come out the next day to replace the port, even recommended a way to keep our child from running off with it again. I've been with Ranger since about 2013 when they operated out of an office and small industrial garage off McNeil. They've done our home seal ups to lock out rodents twice in the only two homes we've owned. This is a complete exam and execution of any contained rodents and entry points. They've also sprayed for bugs and such quarterly. I'm an avid DIY guy but it's so worth it to pay them instead of keeping the chemicals on hand and doing this work, especially with pets. Our current home had almost daily scorpion sightings upon move in and we've beaten them way back. Our previous one had pill bugs and 4 kinds of ants that Ranger completely resolved. I've been a customer of Ranger for a couple of years. I'm one of those folks that tries to find the local company instead of the big conglomerate (with a few exceptions, of course). I found these folks online (simple website is just a contact form, but that's okay). I had grown tired of one of the larger companies out there that just didn't seem to treat me like a person, I was just a customer # to them. The problem was little black sugar ants. I realize they aren't "pests" but they were to me. Ranger came out, probably chuckled a little at the crazy ant lady, but we got rid of them. I was so impressed that I signed up for quarterly service. So every quarter, for a crazy cheap price (don't tell them I said that though!), they come out. They say hello, are super friendly, spray around a bit and tell me to let them know if I need anything. They say "no charge if we come in between". Yeah, right. Right? Nope. They mean it. They really do. Over the past two years I've had to have them come out an extra three times. Once for this freakish weird spider infestation we got in my office (seriously, it was like a bad horror movie, I'm sure they guys were dying laughing at my email to them, but I do NOT like spiders). Once last year for a rat that got into my house (my very first in nearly 20 years and I was totally grossed out). We figured it was coming from the neighbor's shed so set bait outside and plugged a hole and he went away. And once again yesterday. I won't go into details, but apparently the rat family found another hole and set up a home in our garage somewhere. They had a nice supply of bird seed after chewing through a Rubbermaid bin. I sent another crazy email that I'm sure had them figuring out how to cancel my contract with them, but they showed up, took more than my share of time with them to show me more holes to plug up and set traps. We caught some, so I've sent out a note for them to come back today. I have no doubt they'll be back until all the rats (and they are rats - seriously big nasty things that make me shudder to think about) are GONE from my house. Look, the reality is that no one likes to think about pests, but they are there. They keep them away from my house and when we have issues inbetween, they quickly show back up. I never feel like a number. I never feel like because it's a "free call" that I'm not important. I always feel like they care about my home - and my sanity, frankly. LOL. Well, we've been with Ranger several years now and are still extremely happy with their service. Here's why I love and recommend Ranger to everyone: -We are still rodent free, which is fabulous! Nothing else has moved in either, so all of the fixes Ranger did are still working great. I will forever be grateful for them getting the fieldmouse family out of my attic! -Whenever I have an issue, I can call them and get serviced usually in a day or 2. They are always happy to help me out and make sure I'm happy with the service. Most things are even covered under their warranty as well, so it's a one price for everything type of deal. I know when I was dealing with the mice, Ranger came out 18 times I think before it got it all fixed up. -I have quarterly service and really have noticed that it works great. We have noticed a significant decrease in the scorpions we see in the house, which is awesome. We stay on schedule and we know that it's working well. Yay for no creepy critters in my house. -I have a regular technician, John, for all of my services. He's been my tech for at least 2 years now. He is great. He's always on time and always happy. He's easy to talk with and it's nice to just chat. He always listens to me and my concerns. If I forget to mention anything, he always asks about any past trouble spots I have had. I appreciate that he listens and tries his best to help me. John is great and Ranger (and I) are lucky to have him as a technician. -Great customer service.
