Really solid bar food with a great beer selection. The tenders, wings, and burger are all really solid! I tried the tandoor chicken wings which had a nice tandoori flavor but were a tad dry. The hardware place now rents uhauls, which takes up half the parking for this taphouse. Looks like meh on the outside, inside is modern and stark looking. TV Tap menus. As far as breweries go this place gets 5/5 from me! Awesome atmosphere, great food, and awesome service. We came after staying in Ann Arbour craving burgers and boy they did not disappoint! Loved the low key causal atmosphere where you order at the bar and pick your own seats and they deliver to your number but this causal flow of service does not take away from the groovey wood and mid modern factory type design. Love the decor and set up with large wooden tables and unique lighting. Service was very quick and friendly and food menu was perfect size with so many delicious options for meat and veggie eaters alike! We all ordered burgers: diner burger, Rappourt burger, and black bean burger all with fries and arguably one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Fresh quality bun (non of the soggy white bread) and perfectly cooked meat (ordered mine medium rare). The onion jam and greens were delicious on the Rappourt and cheese was perfect! The fries are beer batters so super crunchy and fresh, perfect serving size too in a nice little basket. The beer selection is also awesome here, as it should be for a brewery with every type available! If you are looking for local beer options from Michigan check Rappourt out! Ordered the blood orange wheat beer, light and refreshing and paired perfectly with burger. Overall loved this place, food, beer, and service. Coming from Southern California, it's really difficult to find restaurants in Michigan that even start to come close to the level of cuisine they have in SoCal. That being said, if you haven't tried the food out in Southern California yet, you might at least enjoy the fries here. The fries are nice and crispy here, goes very well with the great multitude of beers they offer. As far as the burger itself, it wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. I got the Pimento and Chorizo Burger. The burger meat has some flavor, but could definitely use more of it. Even though the burger has pimento cheese, I feel like the burger itself could be a lot cheesier. The bread was also too much for me. The burger meat is served in-between two panini buns and it feels like too much bread. It chokes out the flavor. Some brioche buns would've done just fine. The chorizo part is actually just 4 slices of salami, but I would've liked to see some real chorizo in there. A fried egg would probably pair well with the chorizo. The regular cider beer I got was okay as well. Maybe it's a personal thing, but I think the drink could've used more cider flavor. Overall, it's a clean, chill, and modern place. I'd come back to just chill with my wife or some friends and have a beer. read more

First time here and really enjoyed the place. Has a nice modern feel to it, and the large tap selection is great. So many drinks options from hard liquor to IPA beers on tap and bottles. The bar setting is real calm; you order up front, start a tap, go sit down, and enjoy your time. Every time you need a drink, just order one from the bar and get it added to your tab. Fast service with couple of bartenders behind the counter. The staff is super helpful... had a few questions about the beers and they let you taste them before getting a glass. If you live on the north side of Ann Arbor there are very limited options when it comes to food + beer. Rappourt is the best option. It is a tap room with dozens of local and popular craft beers from out of state. The beer is usually fresh and consistent. The service is 7/10 and friendly. Their food is just a slight upgrade from typical bar food but pretty good. they have a limited menu (which I like) so the meals are always made the same so you know what to expect. I personally like their beer fries that are super crispy and the style-steak fries. You can also get them as truffle fries. Wings are really the only thing I buy besides the beer/truffle fries. There are a few unique flavors but are only served with 1 option of I believe 6-8 smallish wings. Nice atmosphere! read more

Sad to see the demise of Roger Monk's but hidden in a slightly sketchy strip mall (I hope they got a deal on the lease) is the unfortunately-named Rappourt Brew & Chew which makes you believe this is a beer and chewing tobacco joint! Obviously the brainchild of a Super Genius! WTF?! Hey, what do I know? The location is sketchy but no need to bring your fully loaded assault guns nor your Glock 19 4th Gen with extended magazines! The beer and food are tasty. The burger definitely has potential. Grilled onions come with the burger. If you want raw onions, ask to add them. Icannot speak to the sweet potato fries as I try to avoid them like the plague! Do give the truffle fries a try: very tasty! Besides the burger, I can recommend (based on actually trying them) the chicken wings, roasted brussel sprouts, short ribs, and the crab cakes. All tasty. Another bone to pick: Whoever designed the website for this business needs a ROPE around their scrawny neck! Right. Now. You cannot see the menu on the home page nor can you enlarge the text. Living in the neighborhood, I'm glad this place is around. With 40-odd taps, it's a good locale for exploring some new brews and maybe getting a bite without having to drive (and park) in downtown Ann Arbor. Still, experiences with the food and the service at Rappourt haven't exactly turned me into a fan. On our first visit, my wife and I split a chicken sandwich with apple slaw and the salami grinder. The first wasn't too bad. The chicken was tender and well seasoned, and the apple slaw was delicious. But it came on a thick ciabatta roll, and the breadiness overwhelmed the bird. Had a similar problem on the grinder: the salami was sparse, and I barely tasted it as I chewed my way through the bun. The salad with cilantro-lime dressing I had on the side was good, however, and wife said her fries were excellent. While it is nice when sides aren't an afterthought, they shouldn't outshine your main dish, either. We ordered burgers on our second trip there, and they had a nice flavor, and even though mine came well done instead of medium as ordered, it still was juicy. The mushrooms we ordered on them were obviously grilled fresh, not pulled from a can. However, the patties were smaller than I'd expect on a bar burger, and the gruyere on them wasn't distinguishable from basic swiss. Overall not a bad burger, but not a burger worth $12, either. We waited quite a while for those burgers to come too, even though the place wasn't more than a quarter full. Waiting seemed to be the motif for the night. After arriving we'd sat at the bar, with staff passing by us, for several minutes before someone took our drink order, or even said hello. Once he got to us, the bartender was friendly and gave us some good beer suggestions, though when it came time to order a refill he was MIA. On our first visit, we also had a long wait for food, and the bartender initially served us someone else's order. We did sit at the bar on both visits, since, as you've probably gleaned from other Yelpers, the seating consists mostly of picnic tables. Not bad if you're out with a large group, but if you're on a date, you may prefer a little more space between you and the other patrons. Rappourt is new, and I expect still in the learning process. I hope to see them up their game in the months to come. read more

Tonight was my first visit to Rappourt and I will definitely be back! Counter service, small menu, tons of beer - the interior is laid back and they had cool music playing. Really loved the vibe! The food arrived quickly and was outstanding. We ordered the Szechuan cauliflower, spicy chicken wrap, and the Pepper Jack burger. We also upgraded to truffle fries for one of our entrees. The truffle fries were good but we actually preferred the plain fries. Overall everything was super tasty...but the cauliflower was by far the standout! A great find in the North Campus area! If my daughter attends college here, I'll be a regular soon enough. The biggest pleasant surprise was how tasty the Brussel Sprouts appetizer was - even those who do not like them regularly should give these a try! My old fashioned drink was done very well, and my kids enjoyed their food as well. Management and staff were very friendly and helpful as we asked questions about the local area. Came here on a whim and had to order quickly at the counter as a large line was forming! My party ended up with the fried Brussel sprouts, Kung pao wings, chorizo and potato tacos, green chicken Chile soup, a diner burger, and a rappourt burger. There was a slight mishap with the wings where they came out a bit bloody in the inside but the server was quick to apologize, remove the wings, and refund that dish...although by what he said, it seemed that this has happened before with their chicken wings--they may want to follow up on that. The top hits were both burgers. The diner burger is a typical cheeseburger with basic toppings. It was cooked well and the bun was so soft! This is a nice modern bar with a cool atmosphere. The majority of the seating are long tables with a large bar. The food was amazing. They have standard fair like wings, burgers, sandwiches but with different flavor profiles from what you would expect in a place like this. For example RAPPOURT offers poutine with a curry gravy and tandoori masala wings. One of the specials I had was the Prince Edward Island Mussels. The mussels were plump, juicy and fresh. It came in a delicious white wine sauce with some crunchy garlic toast. For my main I went with the whitefish BLT. I admit I missed the word spread in the description and was expecting a fish sandwich. What I got was a BLT with a mayo based fish spread. Even though it was different from what I was expecting, it was still good. The bacon was thick and cooked well, the bread was awesome and the spread was tasty. read more

We went here on a Sunday night and it was pretty full. The food was typical bar food. The tables are picnic tables so they aren't really comfortable to sit around and hang out for awhile. It was also very noisy so it was a good place to go for drinks if you want to have a conversation. Order food at the bar and then find a seat. Food arrived quickly. Rappourt is a fun place to visit; it's a combination sports bar and fun hangout spot. There are TVs that are always showing various sports games but the volume isn't very loud so you're not forced to watch. There are also board games available to play on their long, picnic style tables. Their happy hour is awesome as well! 4-6pm Monday-Friday and all day Sunday, $3.50 select beverages, $5 wine, and $2 off select appetizers. Food is decent. The truffle fries are amazing, my fiancé really enjoyed their melt burger, their black bean burger was delicious, but their Mac n cheese left something to be desired. Been here twice now and love the laid back atmosphere. I normally would not bring my two young kids to a brewery or gastro pub, but this place has a very family friendly atmosphere. They provide cards and board games to play while you wait for your food. When you are ready to order you walk up to the bar and place your order and grab a number which will let the staff know where to bring your food. Having been here twice, I have had the chance to try a few things. The tandoori wings are fantastic and the red spicy sauce they serve with them is key for those wings. They are perfectly tender and come with a Thai chili to add some kick. I also tried their Kung pap wings thought these were very average was expecting a brown sauce with peanuts instead these are served similar to what you would get at Buffalo Wild Wings Asian zing flavor. They were not bad but they do not belong on the same menu with the tandoori wings. We also tried the Brussel Sprouts the Korean sauce they used was outstanding. Their truffle fries were great nice earth flavor. The fried tomatillos were great on their own or in a sandwich. My wife ordered a shrimp po boy which was outstanding they use shrimp that, I had in Pensacola Florida, I believe the pink gulf shrimp. For dessert we tried the cardamom pudding cake very nicely done perfect end to a good meal. read more

I am so happy that someone suggested that I check out Rappourt! I love good beer and tasty food, so It's only natural that I would enjoy it here. I love a deal and there happy hour is exactly what I'm looking for. Happy hour consists of a discounted beer and food list. They always have an IPA or two on the list, which I dig, and everything I've had on the menu has been delicious. The fried tomatillos are the best fried green tomatoes I've ever eaten and the truffle fries are addicting. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of their happy hour is that it's everyday of the week... and ALL DAY SUNDAY!!!! This is one of my new favorite watering holes, it's in a convenient location and it has great brew and food. I would recommend it to anyone. read more

An absolute winner! Found them on YELP as a 4 star; perused their menu and found some excellent potential. Upon arriving, we were offered our seating choices, as it was not busy on Labor Day Weekend Saturday around 6:30pm. The "on tap" menu boards are plentiful, both in locale as well as content throughout the bar. Open, mostly communal tables, with a huge bar. Wifey and I each had burgers: RAPPOURT and A2; without being overly dramatic, whomever "crafted" these concoctions was brilliant and thoughtful. We both felt that the individual makeup of the items seem to belong and complement each other, creating a fantastic medley of flavors. It's also joint-staff service effort, and all three people were super efficient and VERY friendly! The fries were amazing - extremely crispy on the outside (potentially double-fried?) and a wonderful truffle flavor. The burger, on the other hand, was a miss. I ordered it medium rare, but it only looked to be medium rare (pink on the inside). However, it had the consistency of a medium well or well-done burger. Maybe it was because the patty wasn't juicy, but the burger definitely tasted more bread than meat. The jam was a nice touch, but needed to be better spread in the burger. I had to dip the edges in ketchup just for some flavor. I docked this place an additional star for the price - the bill came out to a bit over $15 excluding tip, which was not reflected in quality. This was a nice, laid-back place to grab a bite and drink with friends. Food, however, can be a hit or miss. read more

Cool, hidden (discretely, in a strip mall) neighborhood dive pub. Well, except it's not a dive. It's nicely remodeled and borderline romantic, assuming you don't mind some background noise. The owner is clearly a Michigan beer connoisseur. Lots of state-level brews on tap. I won't say they're delicious, because they aren't. But they're strong and damned interesting. P.S.
