Stopped here in the middle of a date night and my partner, and I had the place to ourselves Very delicious tea options, both hot and cold with some hints of coffee here and there While I am glad that they have a steady GrubHub and delivery business going in the background, the intermittent very loud blender. Having grown up in Southern California, I've been spoiled with amazing boba shops, so I'm always on the lookout for something that measures up here in Reno. RareTea has been the clear winner for me since moving here. I tried the Iron Goddess Tea-presso milk tea (a variety of oolong) and loved it. It was smooth, rich, and distinctly nutty in flavor. They brew their teas fresh to order, and you can taste the difference. The boba was wonderfully soft, exactly how it should be.

Came in craving milk tea with some friends on a Saturday. There was no parking when we got there, but luckily someone parking on the side of the street was leaving. It was not very busy and our drinks were ordered and made fairly quickly. We ordered: - Uji Matcha Milk Tea: The matcha here is really good and refreshing. Doesn't taste watered down at all from the last time I was here. - Mango Coconut + Noodle: The mango flavor is good. Tastes like a slushy with pieces of jelly shaped like noodles as a topping. Great for mango lovers! It is nice how there's outdoor seating and games to play. I wish there was a wider variety to choose from. It's a great place to meet up and hang out with friends.

I was craving some boba and decided to stop by. I got the high mountain oolong tea-spresso milk tea with boba and my bf got uji matcha latte. Both tasted really good. I really liked the high mountain oolong tea. They actually used one of those tea brewing machines and I was able to see it brewed in real time. The tea flavor was so strong and so delicious. I definitely recommend getting that if you're a strong tea lover. The matcha was also so so good. It was ceremonial matcha so you can taste the matcha realness. Definitely recommend both of these drinks. Service was kinda slow just because there was only one worker and she was making a lot of drinks from the order prior, but we were in no rush, so it didn't matter. There were a few tables inside with communal games to play from. Overall, a cool spot to hang out and get some work done.

This place is awesome. It's one of the few places that makes bomb boba in Reno. Coming from the SF Bay Area, this will be our watering hole moving forward when we're in town. Don't give the casinos your money, Come give this place all your money instead!

I still love coming here for boba in midtown. They have added some new flavors in their menu. This place is definitely a lot busier now than before which is great but, I think they need add employees. I waited for two drinks for like 20 min. Overall, still a great spot for boba with friends and family.

A great spot for boba and lingering! They have a game area and multiple tables which is nice to welcome people to stay as well as come in. The service was really nice, being available to answer questions and kindly make conversation. I ordered the Okinawa milk tea and am usually worried about my drink being too sweet, but the cashier kindly recommended I keep my drink normal sweetness since they can't really adjust it for the Okinawa without adjusting the flavor.. but she was right! It wasn't too sweet or overwhelming of caffeine either. For the matcha latte. Ignore the tissue over the straw (we had to cover it so my dog wouldn't lick it in the car hahah), but look at the ICE!! Love the ice! The boba however, wasn't too soft, which I usually like for the outside of the boba. But it was firm and my siblings didn't have a problem with it. PARKING in the lot outside is pretty tight and small, especially since there are other businesses next door as well. But there is plenty of street parking around free of charge! Seems to be in a nice neighborhood, and lots nearby! Would come back for a drink or to hang with friends, but most likely wouldn't get boba topping next time.

Delicious teas and boba drinks. We had the strawberry cream with coconut milk and the brown sugar boba shake-both were amazing! The boba is perfect-chewy and flavorful. They share a patio with Wheyfarer Cheese and the patio is cute, shady and dog friendly! Highly recommend!

First time visiting Reno and needed to get our boba fix! Found this place nearby from where we were staying. My husband got the jasmine milk tea with boba and I got the grapefruit green tea. I didn't taste very much Jasmine in his milk tea, but he enjoyed it. I really liked my grapefruit green tea. A brief stopover in Reno, pretty underwhelming generally as far as boba goes although not sure how it ranks within the options in Reno. We tried the new duo grape special which was quite sweet even with a sweetness level adjustment, and tasted pretty artificial. We also decided to try the Teapresso with High Mountain Oolong and it tasted pretty watered down. The boba was overdone and too firm as well. read more

My family and I are absolutely addicted to this place! We drive all the way from South Reno every week just to get our fix--it's that good. Our go-to order is two Lemon Spring Teas with lychee popping boba (so refreshing!) and one Strawberry Snow Cream, which is always perfectly sweet and creamy. Top Boba place in Reno for sure! Stopped by here couple days ago for our boba fix. The boba is super fresh and chewy. Always busy but staff is super fast and friendly. They CAN adjust the boba/ sugar/ or ice level here. Trust me all the drinks they make here are just simply perfect! read more

Today was my 1st experience with Raretea and I'm still reflecting on how amazing the experience was. The atmosphere was calming and I was immediately greeted with a, "Welcome in". I was meeting some of my roller derby teammates and sharing in some team building activities, and we were graciously accepted. The tea was absolutely perfect and watching the process was a treat. Stopped here for a date with a friend and had a very pleasant experience. The amount of teas on the menu allows for anyone to enjoy a drink. The barista was super kind and answered all the questions I had. I loved the amount of boba to tea that I was offered. The pricing was great for the quality and product as well. I've had a few drinks from here and each one was delicious! The fruity teas are made with real fruit with pieces of crushed fruit in them. I actually really enjoy the boba here, it gives a real taste of what it is in bigger cities like Vegas and Sacramento. The inside is spacious, however parking is somewhat in an odd layout. One negative is their hours do seem to vary. Two days ago I was trying to get some boba around 7:45 p.m and they already had their "open" sign off. I get that it can be slow, but if you're set to close at 8 p.m, you should close then, not before. Other than that, I love the boba and really recommend this place! read more

SO HAPPY THIS PLACE IS IN RENO!!! The tea is delicious and authentic and reminds us of Southern California and San Jose area tea shops. Everything is so good--we are trying the whole menu! My absolute favorite is the mango green tea with grass jelly, less sweet & less ice. I would've included a picture, but I drank it all before I thought to take one! Seriously, though-please don't pass this place up. I really want them to be successful so they will flourish and open more locations here! 10 stars!!! read more

I ordered the peach mango frozen daiquiri in the souvenir tumbler, fully expecting something along the lines of a Fat Tuesday-style cocktail. Instead, I drank the entire 24 oz cup and couldn't taste any alcohol -- and more importantly, didn't feel even the slightest buzz. If there was liquor in it, it is was microscopic. At $21, that's a problem. To be clear: it tasted good. Sweet, icy, refreshing. But that's not the bar. If I wanted a non-alcoholic frozen drink, I could've spent a few dollars at 7-Eleven and had the exact same experience. This felt like a glorified slurpee pretending to be a cocktail. Value is where this place really falls apart. $21 for a drink that drinks like juice is simply not worth it, tumbler or not. The portion is large, sure, but size doesn't matter when the main selling point -- alcohol -- is missing in action. Credit where it's due: the bartender was genuinely friendly, let us sample flavors, and the service was great. No complaints there. The bar itself is a quick walk-up spot across from Brew Brothers, clean and convenient if you're already nearby. Unfortunately, the product doesn't match the promise. Also it's allowed to combine flavors. These can make for some interesting concoctions and it can be fun experimenting with all of these. It's $12 for a small. This is still a fairly big size and it's usually enough to last awhile because it's frozen and drinking it takes more time. Also you can add shots if you have to get more alcohol. It will get more expensive of course. The drinks are still good even if you you get these the regular way.

I did a control drink- 16 oz cold brew with hazelnut syrup and a splash of almond milk. The coffee had a nice roast and the hazelnut tasted like Monin syrups which are my favorite. The second time I had a strawberry spiced chai a barista recommendation. The chai is flavorful and the strawberry was a nice touch. The drinks are reasonably priced and a great pit stop when running errands. It does get busy during school drop off and pick up times , so I try to go between that time.
