Fries? Would you eat these if you were the customer

Ordered some fries and looks like they used old oil so they were not good at all. Disappointed and lives too far to take it back

Large Chinese Chicken Salad and COMBO PLATE

There used to be a Rascals right by my house in Long Beach... haven't eaten it in quite some time for obvious reasons. We were in the area today so we stopped in for some food to take home with us. We got the combo beef and chicken plate as well as a large Chinese chicken salad. Gosh I forgot how scrumptious that salad is! It hit the spot. The meat was also tasty. Maybe I need to go out of the way every few months.

Excellent service and big portions for food. For light eaters; one plate can feed two. Lots of rice and proteins. They have the best salad too! 12-9-2025

I started on the Chinese Chicken Salad already. It's usually a fuller plate.

It's really bright inside this place, so, it might be best to dine-in after sun down. The people who work there are always very kind and respectful. I come here often and have never witnessed anyone on a bad day. I usually just order the Chinese Chicken Salad because it truly is my favorite salad.

Aside from the original Rascals I know which was in Long Beach CA. I happen to find this Rascals in the a city of Carson. Drove right into it on Carson st. First of all there is plenty of parking near the car wash. No need to stress. Any day and hour you will find convenient parking, which is a big plus! Entered the establishment and was greeted by the main counter. Not alot of inside seating and a few outside tables to sit, overall it is tight in there. I see alot of customer doing take out which is probably the reason. Ordered a Chicken Salad plate and gravy meal. Received my order within 10 mins. All tasted very good. Food is great! No complaints at all. If you love chicken salad entrees and gravy with rice, this place is for you. You won't be dissappointed. They also have a refillable fountain drink machine. Get as many drinks as you want! Three things I noticed. Restrooms can be alittle cleaner and the other is being tight with utensils, condiments and napkins. They will not give you anything in specific or extra unless you as ask for it. Lastly, the guy calling your order is shouting your number. Advisable to implement a speaker system and announce your number with a calm tone. His shouting will be a nuisance when your eating. Overall, will come back again.

Chicken teriyaki plate with Chinese chicken salad

Honestly I really liked this place. Came here for lunch because it's close to work. It's located right next to a popular car wash and there is plenty of parking. Place is kind of small with limited seating. People are very friendly and helpful. I ended up getting the chicken teriyaki plate with Chinese chicken salad. The portion was generous and I believe my meal was around $13.50. I was very surprised and amazed with how good the food tastes. I really enjoyed my lunch here and will return someday.

Chicken teri deluxe plate with avocado subbed for chicken on the salad

Rascals has been a family go-to approaching 20 years. Their Teri chicken has set the bar for how I measure other places (but I'm not a fan of their beef-- it's a little dry and lacks flavor), and their sauce is thick and sticks to the rice and chicken. We were sad when they moved from Long Beach -- they always remembered us when we came in with our family The new location in Carson is clean but smaller than the LB spot, and there are no TVs to watch the games. Today we stopped by on our way home from LA. There was a short line to order and we were patient for our food, because well done fries take longer. We got all of our favorites: Cheeseburger special: The beef has good flavor and the fries are in our top 10. Get them well done with extra seasoning salt. Chicken curry plate: Good curry flavor with big chunks of vegetables. Chicken teri deluxe plate: The chicken was grilled well with ample teri sauce, but you can always ask for more. I love their Chinese chicken salad but am not a fan of the chicken on it, so I substitute avocado for $1 more. The dressing is delicious but get it on the side so it's not soupy and you can save leftovers for later. The portions for the plates are very big, so you can share or plan to have meals for days. Other things to know: They also have an avocado sandwich, hot dogs and other things for people who don't like teri, as well as kids meals that come with a drink. You can get family meals or party trays to go that include rice, protein and salad. They have brown rice if that's your preference. Only negative is that they choose to offer Pepsi. And the new location doesn't have the Cherry Pepsi.

I've eaten here a couple of times and also at the Torrance Blvd location. The teriyaki isn't the best but it's decent for the price. The combo plates are great and I always get it with the Chinese chicken salad (Deluxe) that they are known for. They have bowls, curries, hot dogs, and burgers, as well, which I haven't tried. This maybe why their teriyaki isn't the best. It is a great pace to stop and eat if in the areas. The staff are always friendly and very speedy with their service. The locations are pretty far and extreme, wish they would open more locations at least one on the PCH. This would be closer to me. Both locations are pretty spacious and you can usually get a seat. But, this one on Carson can get pretty busy so be patient. Enjoy!

The Chinese Chicken Salad is bomb!

There used to be a Rascals near Cal State Long Beach years ago, and, I remember when I used to go just to get the Chinese Chicken Salad. I think I went with out it for years after that place closed down. Now that there is this one in Carson, I'm probably there at least once every two weeks to get this salad! I have to dine in because every time I take it to-go, it never tastes the same. It's probably because I don't ever get extra dressing. Anyway, I like how they toss it, so, I just eat it there. The associates are also very friendly. The windows are huge so the place gets a lot of sun. I'm not there long enough to let it bother me.

I came for a quick lunch. I ordered Sandwich combo 1/2 sandwich of your choice & their famous chicken salad. I wanted something healthier but also tasty. Staff nice & friendly. Pretty busy lots of seats inside & out.

This is a local family favorite. We used to go to the location in Gardena, then Torrance now this one. My goto is the teri deluxe (it comes with a small Chinese chicken salad). I usually phone in my order but tonight I placed the order online. The service is always good and fast! You can eat indoors but I usually order To go. It's a casual vibe good for families and lunch dates. Portions are pretty large.

We came all the way from Santa Clarita and we're not disappointed. Past all the namebrand places by the aquarium and came here and we're not disappointed. I had the work burger, which has fried portobello mushrooms. Others in our group had grilled cheese and poutine burger, and Italian burger and the hotdog and the breakfast burritos. No one was disappointed actually, we were surprisingly pleased with our selections. Sleeper items are the fried cheese curds by themselves. Make sure you get these. Also the onion rings are batter dipped. And beyond delicious! Only bummer is the drinks are cans, so if you need more than one drink, be prepared to pay for each can. The food was super delicious!!

I'm not sure if it's always that lively on Friday nights, but it was the weekend of Warped Tour, so there was a lot of music and energy. If you're looking for a quieter meal, this may not be the best night to visit. The food itself was good, but the wait was much longer than expected. We waited almost 40 minutes for our order. Unfortunately, my burger was also made incorrectly. I ordered the Bacon Bleu Burger but was served a different burger instead. Not quite sure what it was, but it had mushrooms and American cheese. Since we had already waited so long, I decided to just eat it rather than send it back. The burgers were flavorful, but they were smaller than I expected for the price, and they don't come with fries. To round out my meal, I ordered the poutine fries. They were decent. The fries were nice and crispy, which I appreciated. My husband ordered the Burger Don Chendo, and that ended up being the standout of the night. I usually don't like spicy food, but this burger had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but between the long wait, the incorrect order, and the portion size for the price, the experience was a bit hit-or-miss. I'd be willing to give them another try, especially for the Don Chendo burger, but I'm hoping for a smoother experience next time.

If you're okay with this, then have at it. But just remember this review when you smell this under seasoned chunk of rancid meat you just spent your hard earned money on. The first thing I noticed cutting into this burger was the scent. It was FOUL. And then I instantly remembered why it has been 2 years since I visited this place. Same experience. This meat cannot be fresh whatsoever. It stinks. But to no surprise, it mirrors the poor quality of the fries (mid at best) and the knock off hidden valley ranch disguised as a house ranch you have to pay extra for. TBH the idea of a burger spot specializing in turkey burgers is really unique and opens up options that are both simple and satisfying. However, the turkey-- where you buy it, how you store it and the overall quality is the star of the show, and this ain't it. Simply put, it's not for me. I could not eat this food. Not to mention I feel there is a bit of deflection on the workers part when a concern is politely brought to their attention. The food, guaranteed IS NOT FRESH. I recommend Chinollo across the street. Fresh, high quality and juicy farm raised meats paired with equally high quality sides made in house (not frozen), fresh veg, fresh hand cut fries, house made sodas, milk teas and teas; nothing reeks of left over food being sold at ransom prices

We were thrilled to see a few menu options that were marked as vegan. Bonus points for being affordable! I completely missed their attached parking lot when I arrived and ended up parking across the street in the neighborhood, where there was ample free parking. When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full and there was live music occurring on the patio. We opted to sit inside where it was a little less noisy and there was a comfy and cozy booth calling our name. The vibe was great, with fun and eclectic decor. The service was really upbeat and friendly and our server was so kind and helpful. We asked him if the espresso martini had dairy in it (which I just discovered that is a thing at some places) and he double checked with the bartender to ensure there wasn't my dairy in it! I ordered that alongside a falafel wrap I must say, both of these worked so well together. The espresso martini was light and refreshing yet still had a bold flavor. The falafel was nice and crispy with a delectable inside and the tahini sauce was so rich and creamy. The meal felt indulgent yet hearty all at the same time. I left feeling so uplifted and relaxed all at the same time. Despite it being on the noisier side, I was still able to hear my friend well and it was such a great place for us to catch up.
