They offered us more chips once we ran out and brought out a fresh batch. Oh my, the chips were amazing when they were still warm! If I wasn't full I could've eaten the whole basket myself. Our waitress didn't ask what was wrong, didn't apologize, didn't seem concerned, and made absolutely no effort to fix the experience. She just dropped the Modelos on the table with an attitude that basically said, "Fine, you're a nuisance, here's your beer." The food itself was great, but the service and overall hospitality were genuinely terrible. They also completely forgot the birthday despite it being noted on the reservation. I normally tip 25-30%, but tonight I left 15% and wrote, "Thanks for forgetting my birthday" on the check. That pretty much summed it up.

The interior was decent and not dirty. For parking, there's a good amount located at and around the Pavilions parking lot. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back here again. It just seemed like a standard chain restaurant. It is located walking distance from the beach though.

What a gem this place is! Situated just off Main Street, Rasta Taco exudes a warm, inviting vibe that makes you feel instantly welcomed. This unique spot, which combines Jamaican and Mexican culinary traditions, is truly an explosion of flavors. Service was quick, efficient, and the menu was incredibly easy to navigate. Their 2-taco combo was my order of the day and it absolutely did not disappoint. I opted for the Jamaican jerk chicken and the Caribbean asada taco. I love Rasta Taco! It's a fun blend of spices and it's a great little place within walking distance of where I work. It's got the fun vibe of a taco stand, but with a touch of permanence. The outdoor patio is a nice place to eat if you're got the time (and if you can find a seat!). The orders are always made fresh and it's worth the short wait for your food. And the staff is awesome. The prices are reasonable - a touch on the high side for the amount of food you get - BUT it's not a fast food place (and we are in Laguna Beach after all!) I knocked off one star because the layout for ordering and picking up food is a bit cramped. I don't know that there's much that could be done to improve it except maybe having an ordering window separate from the pick up window. The location may not allow for any change in this customer flow, but there is typically a bottle neck of customers. read more

This was the worst experience EVER. The food was awful. I don't know what that meat was, it was chewy and disgusting. Our order was so messed up we finally just threw away our food and left. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, I wouldn't feed my dog this food. I read all the reviews and they must have friends posting because I can't believe anyone would like this food. Yum, us in South Orange County do not have a lot of good taco stands to choose from. Typically we have to travel to North Orange County to really delight in delicious little street tacos and other authentic Mexican delights. Rasta Taco is a refreshing addition to Laguna Beach which normally caters to tourist and the ultra wealthy. The tacos are yummy, well priced. You can barely taste the fish in the taco, which is always a bonus for me considering I am not a huge fan of fish in general. My go-to place for lunch. LB is notoriously expensive, Rasta Taco is not. Solid tacos, good prices (although the quesadilla is a bit steep in price), and some seriously good salsas/sauces. Green habanero sauce is to die for! Outdoor seating is perfect for beach days. read more

If your looking for Mexican seafood style this is the place. We tried the fried ahi tacos shrimp cocktail, and the shrimp ceviche. Each was was filled with flavor and fresh. We like it hot so we liberally added the Tapatio. Our kids kept it simple with kids menu items that are also available (chicken nuggets and burrito). The ambiance for lunch was a clean location with large TVs but space for small and large groups. The service was quick and helpful, our server Marlena was great providing insight to favored dishes.
