Our first time dining here was an overall good experience but did not have anything special that makes us want to return again soon. My friends had been here before and said it was weirdly empty when they came, and it was the same this time. Friday night and it was only us and 1 other table. The inside is not what I expected, it has high ceilings and is a much larger space than I would've thought; it almost feels more like an event space than a restaurant. The ambiance was lacking, there was no chatter from others dining around us and I don't recall any music playing to fill the space either. We only saw one person working the entire time and the service was not as good as it should've been for only having 2 tables. He was fairly attentive to our needs but then disappeared at the end of the meal, we had to get up to ask for our bill. The menu is small and the items oddly priced. A pizza with a large serving size was $18 while a tiny side salad was $10. We shared a bottle of Pinot Noir and we all loved it! Some glasses of wine were over $15 and it made much more sense to just get a bottle to share. We all split the crab and artichoke appetizer which was delicious! I wish it was a little bigger and served with more crackers. My husband got the meat lovers pizza and thought it was good but nothing special, a tough category in a city with countless great pizza options. I got the pasta bolognese, it was pretty small for a pasta dish but only $16 so not too surprising. The pasta tasted fresh and there was a lot of meat in the sauce which I liked. The meal did not fill me up, so I was thankful my husband had such a big pizza. I've been to this place 3-4 times in the past and now it's time to finally write my review! It was our wedding anniversary last Friday evening and I was surprising Joe by inviting our favorite next door neighbors to join. They were there when we arrived which was nice. The fun thing is the club wasn't very crowed for a Friday but I had to think it was because of the 4th of July weekend that's just before. The best is we got excellent service. Connie and Bob brought Joe's favorite Cabernet which is Joseph Phelps. We actually went there on our wedding day so that is how we found this incredible winery. The also brought us a box of Dorinda's (my absolute fav) Now the food: I ordered the filet and it was amazing. On first cut it looked like it wasn't medium rare but second cut it definitely was. Connie ordered the pasta dish because she is Veg. I forgot when I picked this place but I think most places now have a choice for vegetarians. Bob ordered the scallops with risotto and he said it was divine. Joe ordered the back ribs and they were excellent! The served us a crème brûlée and I got profiteroles. What a wonderful time we had since we had some major gossip to catch up on about the new neighbors! The 3 other times I have been here were all equally as great! The cocktails at this place are always the BEST! Tonight's was crazy good! I had the "Nevada Sour" I think...so good. Picture below. I have fond memories of a rhubarb cocktail from summers past. I was sad, when I walked in, to be told they had a limited menu due to chef staffing issues, it was just "him and the owner". He handed us a limited menu to peruse before committing. Husband and I immediately saw our usual favorites and found a seat. Husband had the burger, I had the firecracker shrimp, and a house salad with ranch. And cocktails The server was efficient and friendly, serving our table, and another table, a coupke outside, and a couple at the bar. Loved the superb, unhurried, intimate feel. The food was delicious as usual. I've had the pizzas in the past, and loved the authentic flavors. Can't wait for them to be up at full steam again. Really nice atmosphere and its a great restaurant for a meeting. II think that the coffee steak was really awesome. Cooked well. Nice and tender on the inside with a great crust that you would expect from a fine steakhouse. However some of the sides were hit and miss. I would definitely get this again. Unfortunately the appetizers were hit an miss. I am a big lover of French onion soup. After making French onion at home, I understand that this is a premium price because its a lot of work and effort to be done right. This French onion soup was inedible. The onions were not caramelized. The soup base was chunky. The cheese was not melted. The bread was stale. I took a few bites and then pushed it to the side. I don't like sending food back so I just paid for it and ordered something else. Overall with nice people, a great atmosphere, great place to eat and there were some great things on the menu. 1 star taken away for the unfortunate French onion soup. But it was only one part of the meal and I will hope it is just a one off. If next time the apps are great then I would plan on a 5 star. The most bizarre experience on Saturday April 29th. The 3 stars is for the food because most of the food was good... however our dining experience lasted for 2.5 hours, and then we were blamed by the owner for that - but he did discount our bill. Our neighborhood has some couples that get together monthly for dinner. This month we chose Rattlesnake Club as some of us had been before and liked it. The reservation started as 10 people and then dwindled to 6 as we know things happen. My friend called Saturday morning after hearing that two couples would not make it and left a voicemail advising it would only be 6. When we arrived it was reiterated only 6. Bartender made us drinks and we were escorted to the back table private room area which we wondered if maybe that was our downfall... however there were only maybe 3 other tables filled in the main dining area and a couple that was outside which should be an indication of how a restaurant is doing on a Saturday night on a beautiful day. We ordered appetizers right around 630. At 715 they arrived eeek. We started to be like this is strange right around then but ordered our dinners right away even though waiter was leaving after dropping the apps... I had to ask him for plates for our apps as well but that's not even my focus here. We ordered crab cakes, calamari, and bang bang shrimp, all decently good. I ordered the brick chicken which they "just ran out of" so I went with the short rib. Hubs got a New York steak. Two other steak orders, one shrimp order, one pasta of the day order. 45 minutes later at 8 pm waiter brought steak knives and said our food was being plated. At 815 hubs went and checked on our order and was told it was being plated. At 822 our dinner got there but by the time we were all kind of in a trance of why is this taking so long ? Seems completely unacceptable and not how some of us with babysitters planned to spend the time waiting. The food however looked good plated and was good with the exception of the pasta of the day per a neighbor. Which was spinach and Parmesan ravioli. My neighbor then went to the bathroom and stopped by a table she had noticed had also been there for the last 2.5 hours and asked if they had eaten there. The conversation ended with her saying how long our food took and it actually being the owner she was talking to, who then rudely told her they only had ONE COOK and that it was our fault because the waiter thought 10 people were coming not 6, which actually made zero sense cause he never asked if we were waiting for anyone and also if we had 10 with one cook how much longer would it have been? Before this encounter hubs had also asked about a discount on our 600$ bill due to the wait which they obliged by 100$ so that was nice, however my neighbor was unaware of this and then had that encounter with the owner. I can't say I'm surprised as I frequented in thep past several Arlington Gardens businesses and the owner does not have a good reputation but I base things off my own experiences. With all of this combined we won't be back and by the looks of things on a Saturday night here it's unknown if they'll survive at this rate unfortunately. read more

After numerous tries, we were finally able to get in here for lunch. While I am glad we came, my response is similar to some of my fellow Yelpers - a bit mixed. The space is lovely - it a bit spare. There are lots of nice details and the baffling along the ceiling and above the bar area really help cut down the noise in a large open space with high ceilings. I love the huge photo of the flatiron building in New York City behind the reception desk. It really helps set a tone for the establishment. The dining and bar area are clean and modern with a huge fireplace in one end. The tables were well spread out. Staff were friendly and helpful and were very nice answering my gazillion questions about the menu. The service was good and we got just what we ordered, but it was very slow. It was busy and it was evident they were understaffed. One huge quibble - one staff member was not masked at all. That is concerning to me on how seriously they are taking Covid precautions. I ordered the spinach salad and it was delicious. It was a huge mound of fresh sweet baby spinach with very thinly sliced tart green apple, blue cheese, bacon, and candied walnuts, all together with a lovely mustard vinaigrette dressing. It was quite satisfying as a meal pared with some French fries I stole from my husband's meal. I want to come back and try the curried acorn squash soup. My husband was not wild about his lunch - he ordered the clubhouse burger and fries with nothing on it except the garlic aioli. He said it was meh and the fries were just OK (I really liked the fries) Yes, we would like to come back sometime again - maybe for Pizza (one going by looked amazing) or the soup and a sandwich. The dinner menu also looks wonderful. This is defiantly worth another try. read more

My bf took me to Rattlesnake Club to celebrate my 31st birthday. I'd heard good things so I was pretty excited. Gussied up I got and off we went. I was a little put-off by our waiter. He didn't really try to make this feel like an 'experience'. There was another waiter around who seemed really happy and attentive. We overheard him going over more specials than we were told and were wondering why our waiter hadn't... :/ I had a friend say the Chickpea & Kale salad was great, so we started with that. It was described as having, 'wilted greenhouse kale, roasted chickpeas, wild chef mushrooms, shallot, roasted garlic goat cheese, and 20-year aged sherry vinegar.' Overall, it was a good salad to split but honestly, we couldn't finish the salad. The roasted garlic goat cheese was THICK and became unpleasant towards the end. I wasn't a fan of the wild chef mushrooms either, as they felt too chewy. My bf enjoyed them but I felt like they became a chore to eat. The salad cost $20. I don't recall what the name of our dinner was, but we each had a plate with chicken, noodles, and two different types of mushrooms. I believe this was a special. The only thing the waiter failed to mention was that this also had red chili flake... to a wuss like me, I did find the meal slightly spicey. My boyfriend really enjoyed it. I believe there was a King trumpet mushroom in the meal as well. Overall, I found it good. I would opt to try something else next time though. For dessert, we ordered the Basque Cheesecake. It was described as, "Silky lemon burnt cheesecake topped with lavender-infused blueberry compote and greenhouse micro basil." This was really delicious and I enjoyed every bite. It cost $14. We have been meaning to try this place but never got around to it. We heard some good things about it especially when it opened, so we brought a guest here as they love their steak. We ordered a bottle of wine for the 3 of us, as we were seated. Our waiter was very friendly and courteous. Atmosphere is very open and inviting with great decor and the bar wrapping around the middle of the restaurant. The outdoor seating overlooking the parking lot is nice and they have their own greenhouse, unfortunately the smoke did not allow us to enjoy the outdoor area. The menu constantly changes as they try to use all the ingredients they have to the fullest from their own greenhouse. Not sure about the meats though. Fresh bread was brought out as soon as we ordered apps, it was quite delicious especially with the whipped butter they provide with it. Great touch and tasted great. We ordered firecracker shrimp which came out surprisingly quick and were very tasty ( about 8 pieces come in on a peel of lettuce ). We also ordered smoked salmon bruschetta which also tasted very good( 4 pieces on plate). For dinner, my wife ordered airplane chicken which was quarterleg; drumstick & thigh covered in a chervil wine sauce, mushrooms, spinach, grape tomatoes over pappardelle pasta. She did not like it enough to finish the plate as there was just no flavor. Our guest ordered a tomahawk steak 22oz, which was a bone in rib eye with three - herb chimichurri and a side of mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Unfortunately this came out cold and he had to send it back. They brought it back rewarmed in the microwave. My dish was a wine braised chicken quarter; It is a grilled piece of chicken covered in a creamy garlic parmesan white sauce which sounded amazing but didn't get much garlic flavor or any flavor. It was okay in my opinion, I expected more taste. Recently tried the Rattlesnake club. I was nervous when we walked in because it was 5pm and there was no one else there. We were seated promptly and then 2 other tables were filled. So it was pretty quiet. They start with bringing homemade bread to the table, which was warm and delicious.... We got two baskets. I ordered the ahi which was really good. It was a perfect balance of sweet and salty and I feel like the portion size was really goos. I only gave it a 4 star because the service was realllllyyyy slow. Always passed by this place and always thought, "Looks like another yoga joint." until yesterday I was looking up places to celebrate my one year wedding anniversary and decided to finally come check this place out! This place was really cool, you walk in and it's a place that has a boutique and other neat local mini stores, sorta almost like an old school shopping mall. Now about the food, the food was great! Perfect timing to be able to try a new lunch spot, while the dogs are getting evaluated at a new boarding/grooming place. Arrived starving! The building is very open and spacious. We noticed a few tables with pizza, but I had my heart set in the bang bang shrimp. The server brought out home baked bread and butter. I do enjoy bread and especially liked the baguette. Decided to also try the Blta.. The bang bang shrimp was very satisfying, and plentiful. Blta was also nicely toasted with thick bread and perfectly cooked French fries. I tried the RC just after they opened...what seems like years ago...but was only last year. At the time I didn't think they had hit their stride. It was nice but not wowing. So during covid we decided to give them another try. Once for dinner/happy hour and once for Brunch so far. Both days we went in on a day they had introduced a new menu. Everything on the menu looked good enough to try. So I asked one of the staff which one I should try...he indicated to either the rattlesnake tacos or the game hen. I chose the game hen. My wife chose the burger because she just needs to try the burger every time. She loved it just as much as she loved the breakfast burger when we went in for brunch. My Hen was of course perfectly cooked and not overly seasoned. The puree underneath it was unbelievable and the turnips...oh my goodness the turnips. How in the world did they make this dish hit so well on so many different fronts? Even the smokey skin was delightful. During Brunch I ordered up the traditional Benedict that I enjoyed immensely. Our brunch drinks were the Bellini special and the House Bloody Mary. Both were of course great. We have sat at the bar both times because it seems to be a little further from where everyone is talking and chatting. We also really enjoyed the service of both bartenders. What a hidden gem. Met up with friends months ago for dinner here and was pleasantly surprised by the service and the food. All employees were wearing masks. All patrons must wear masks unless they are seated at their table. The restaurant is quite big so patrons are seated more than 6 feet apart and they also offer outside seating in the warmer months. For dinner I had the ribeye steak. It was cooked to perfection and was huge. I was only able to eat half and took the other half home to the hubby. He enjoyed it as well. My friends had the salmon with beet purée' and they said it was good. We had a cheesecake slice, cake with berries and creme brûlée for dessert and all were delicious and decadent. I was recommended this place because I love fish and chips. Upon looking at the menu online we discovered it was only available for lunch. The lunch and dinner menu have very different entries so look up the menu before you go. The meal started with a bread basket and it was delicious. It had 3 different types of bread and you can tell that they were made fresh. I started with shrimp and grits and because I was raised in the south I was weary but it was really good. The grits were nicely cooked and it was covered in Buffalo style sauce and cherry tomatoes. The vinegar base of the Buffalo matched nicely with the cheesiness of the grits. The tomatoes were a nice pop of freshness. I then had the fish and chips. The batter tasted good and it was crispy but unfortunately it was over cooked. My husband had the leek soup and BLTA. The soup was very tasty, but a bit salty while the sandwich was under seasoned; however, all in all he really enjoyed both. It was a good experience with both highs and lows. So, it kinda pains me to write this review because I used to really like this place, but something has changed. We went there this past Saturday for dinner. First off, the place was eerily empty. There were only 3 other tables occupied. The next thing we noticed was that our server was not only the only server, but also the bartender. We found out later that he had only been there three days. Now, as soon as we were seated, the server presented the now anemic menu. There were a few favorites such as the brazed short rib, but predominantly a lot of pizza & burgers. What happened to the menu? The for thing after the server instructed us that they only had 1 braised chicken meal left. Now, how at 6:00pm with only 3 other tables were they possibly out of chicken?!? Now we at the table ordered the following: Surf & Turf (steak - medium RARE) and shrimp, braised chicken, braised beef, and salmon. The reason I gave the review 2 stars was the server was great, and the braised beef meal was fantastic. The salmon dinner was average to above average. Our steak, however, was served well done- as far from med-rare as it could have been. The potato tower it was served with was drastically under cooked. The braised chicken was decent, though frankly, I was not a fan of the sauce they smothered it with. The worst past of that meal, was the undercooked, flavorless risotto it was served with. I am certainly disappointed about this experience. I don't know if they changed ownership or management, or what, but this place is NOT the great dining experience it was a few months ago. read more

Amazed! Full disclosure, this place makes for a great happy hour. We chose to sit inside at a tall table in the bar area on a Friday night in July because it was rather warm outside. The bar was closed due to Covid, otherwise we love to belly up on a normal day. The server was calm and sweet, he let me taste the wine before deciding which is always nice. Pretty quick to choose a nice COLD glass of sauv blanc from the happy hour menu and a shot of whiskey (or two). I had already done my research and asked the Yelp crew a question regarding Rattlesnake's happy hour. To my surprise, Dave the owner replied ever so kindly and now I was even more excited to try them out. Dave started waiting on us, I asked if it was him who responded to the Yelp question. He offered to bring us freshly baked bread with freshly whipped homemade butter. I don't usually eat butter on the regular, but this was hands down delish and it was a night out, so duhhh! I knew I wanted the polenta and shrimp. Thankfully my date is typically easy going and doesn't care too much about what we order. I loved everything so much I could go on and on, but you get the idea. I will forever dream about those firecracker shrimp cups. They have their own greenhouse so all of the produce is grown on premises, I believe. The butter lettuce was so bright green and super fresh. Rattlesnake Club is not at all what you think the name suggests, it's much more tastier ;) I went for a birthday dinner which happen to be around 5pm so we happen to hit Happy Hour (bonus)! Our table ordered a mix of happy hour items and regular menu items. Here's what we got: Shrimp Cups - $8 (happy hour) Pepperoni Pizza - $10 (happy hour) Bahn Mi Piedmontese Ribeye Shrimp cups were so good and the table's favorite. The Pizza lacked a good crust but was ok and the price was great for the size. The Bahn Mi was had a good mix of flavors and the baguette tasted fresh. The Ribeye plate was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were a great pair. Oh, I almost forget! We were seated in the back patio which was super cute and great for casual meals or a date night. Have been to Rattlesnake Club three times prior to this evening and have always enjoyed it, but honestly it's been over a year since we've been in and um... it's always been good, but this was AMAZING. The Halibut, with mustard glaze on a bed of forbidden rice was honestly PERFECT. $38 for a smallish slice of fish?? I would have paid twice that for this. Absolutely incredible blend of flavors and cooked to perfection. Our server, Jared was also a highlight. Just the right amount of attentive at the right times and warm and polite despite the fact that we came in late (we were definitely the last table to leave) and I was wearing an old tshirt and shorts... In the past we enjoyed date nights here because of the options like sandwiches, pastas, and pizzas. A very nice evening at Rattlesnake Club. We dined on the patio - which was the perfect temperature and quite comfortable. If I knew we were going to be their so long, I would have brought a pillow for the chair. We really lingered over our meal. First, our server - Krista (Christa, Crista?) gave great service and well researched recommendations. Many times you will ask a server about a dish and they have nothing to say - clearly hadn't tried the food. That's too bad. It's much easier to sell/recommend food that you know. We started with cocktails - the Rhubarb Negroni for him - the Margarita for me. The Marg was GREAT - but the Negroni was probably the best I ever had. It was incredibly well balanced. Apps included Burrata and the Firecracker Shrimp. The Burrata you can see in the picture came out on a large platter with incredible accompaniments. Roasted garlic, pickled veg, olives, perfectly toasted bread and arugula. Each bite was your own creation. The Shrimp - divine. Just that light crunch when you bit into them. I have tried to recreate this at home and have failed, miserably. Lamb and Ribeye were the mains. Lamb in a Chimichurri and mash, the Ribeye with perfectly done potatoes au gratin. Such a hard dish to get right - they got it right. A great bottle of 2016 Trefethen Double T Red rounded out the dinner. But - wait.. dessert? No really we shouldn't .. but we did. Peach bread pudding and a creme brulee. The bread pudding ruined me for all other bread puddings for a while. And the iced cappuccino finished everything off perfectly. The waiter will greet you as soon as you step in. It was very nice until we got our food and check. Our waiter took our order which was burger and fish and chips. The beef petty was supposed to be medium rare but it was completely cooked and was not juicy at all.. The bun was completely dry. It was probably the worst burger I've ever had. But fish and chips was absolutely amazing. I'll definitely order it if I visit them next time. We ordered 2 cups of coffee. However, my friend checked our check and she found out there's extra charge. So we asked him and said " oh it was for the coffee because we have 2 sizes and small one is very tiny so." Well, it's only 2 or 3 dollars more but he failed to mention that when we started to order it in the first place. Sometimes we are blessed with meals that we talk about and rave about for years to come. If you are looking for a memorable not to mention brag-worthy than this is the place for you. None of us had ever been here before and decided to try it because of Yelp. I and some friends came here recently and we can't stop talking about how good it was. Due to health issues, I now have a very restrictive diet. It makes it hard to go out to eat and find something delectable. However, that was not the case for the Rattlesnake Club. I was blessed to have the Ribeye that was not only beautiful on the plate but was scrumptious and had me enjoying every tasty morsel. The meat was pure perfection the seasonings divine and I think I may have heard angels sing while I was eating. I am still salivating over this meal. Needless, to say all those in my party are anxious to go back. My husband had the fish and chips which he is still raving about. While it is a little pricy I don't mind paying for food that is exceptional in flavor and presentation. Our friends had the Hamburger and Scallops. She raved about her scallops. She was so impressed that she made a point to say they would be back. (Actually, I didn't hear angels sing but it really was that good.) Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The Rattlesnake Club (in the old Southwest) is a favorite of our friends Jim and Marti. We've been here a couple times with them for Lunch, and have chosen the very comfortable outside patio area on 2 warm and sunny days. They also have heaters available for cooler times and a sizable indoor dining area. What's also physically interesting about the Rattlesnake Club is that it's part of a larger indoor complex that includes a couple shops and a coffee house. The wine and beer lists are extensive, while at least the Lunch menu is a more narrow selection of salads, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, and a few surprises. Last week's pleasant surprises included a tasty curry soup and an equally delicious bowl of chili. Marti and Jim split a pizza and the table shared a really good firecracker shrimp. I believe I went for the burger that first time I was here, which I remember to be excellent. Our service both times was attentive and informative, while you can't beat spending a lazy afternoon on the patio. Well, yum. Just plain, uncomplicated yum. We started at the bar while we waited for the rest of the party. We ordered a bottle of tempranillo and the firecracker shrimp and entered into a culinary heaven. So much so that we had to order a second firecracker shrimp and ended up with a second bottle. Yes, it was that good of an evening. For dins we had the airline chicken, a tomahawk steak and beef cheeks. All three were gorgeous but the cheeks were luscious meat pillows in an insane wine sauce. Service was top-notch. Steven and short Steven were extremely helpful, as were everyone who engaged with us. The dining room was open, modern and casual. We hung out for about three hours, never feeling pressured or awkward. I can't wait to go back, hopefully next weekend. What a gem! read more

Just popped in for a drink after dinner, interesting vibe. It was pretty slow but the bartender and waiter both seemed stressed. Our drinks were ok, they were out of garnishes for my husband's old fashioned but that's definitely not the end of the world. Our drinks just weren't that flavorful. I got the lavender bee and mostly tasted sugar and lemon. There also wasn't any music playing which added to the odd atmosphere. We'd still like to come back and try for food though! read more

On Thursday night I attended the Rombauer wine dinner and have such mixed feelings about the experience. I went alone because I don't have anyone in Reno who would pay $164 for dinner plus tip, even with Rombauer wines. So I had very high expectations. I love to try a bunch of tasting size dishes and try each with a different wine. The first course was ahi tuna tartare - spectacular! That was not officially paired with wine although the Rombauer rep started pouring Sauv Blanc. Both great but definitely not together! Really not a good combo. The next course (which they called the first course) was 4 agnolotti, which were hard and lukewarm and had clearly been sitting out for a while. The sauce was great but didn't help the hard pasta. Paired well with the Sauvignon Blanc. Next we got macadamia crusted mahi mahi with Chardonnay which were both wonderful. Next came a beef with mashed potatoes, except I did not get potatoes. I asked about it (again, $164 for dinner) and was told they ran out. And that's how they handle it? Hope I won't notice? If someone had come out and told me that they screwed up and asked if they could get me something else, I would have said no thanks this is plenty of food! ha ha. I am not sure why this was so disappointing to me, probably out of proportion to what happened, but everything was so fun and tasty up until then. Dessert was a wonderful chocolate dome, paired with a wonderful Zin. The service staff was fantastic! I know how hard it can be to fill a dining room with great servers so I was really impressed. Overall, not sorry I went. The Rombauer rep provided great info and of course was pouring wonderful wines! And I got half of the fish, half of the beef, and almost the whole dessert in to go boxes to enjoy over the weekend. read more

Ugh. I really wanted to like this place. It has good reviews other than here. I had crab cakes, lobster bisque and seared scallops with "crab" risotto. Here we go: 1. Crab cakes had something other than crab-a whitefish or other and I tasted it right away. Not crispy. Kinda soggy 2. Lobster bisque--very small pieces of lobster and it only tasted palatable with salt an pepper. Where was the cream? Where was the butter?? It had the texture of butternut squash. Yuck. 3. The most disappointing risotto ever. Allegedly this dish was #1 on the menu. That sucks, cause the crab risotto was majorly lacking in the crab and it had corn and red bell peppers?! It just wasn't good. The scallops were rubbery. Just bad. The saving grace was service which was good. I don't know if chefs have changed but the food was nothing exciting to write home about.. read more

I had previously dined here for lunch, and officially came back for dinner and unfortunately was not "wow-ed". Again, the place was empty until the very end of our meal when another table was sat. But it was funny, once the other table was sat we waited over 10min for our check with plates stacked and were confused because there were only two tables there? The food was good but nothing special. With a limited menu, usually you expect each dish to blow you out of the water and I wish it really had, but they were just good, not great. Additionally, the salad was so small and cost $10, where in comparison to the pizza, which was a whole pie for $18. The crab and artichoke appetizer was definitely tasty,but only came with a few crackers for dipping. We also got a wine by the bottle which was great but I wish you had a better wine by the glass variety... there were only four wines by the glass and the cab, which is pretty standard, was $18 for a glass. Definitely deterred me from getting a second drink. I might try coming here again, but for a Friday night I would've liked something a little more lively. read more

I brought my parents here for a nice meal. I ordered the caesar salad, filet mignon, and the toffee pudding. They also gave me a free creme brulee o-o. The caesar salad had a dense dressing with a good taste of mustard. The quality was comparable to a top-end steakhouse. I was completely taken aback. The filet mignon was not your average USDA cut. It was not corn-fed and did not have a strong iron taste. It was most similar to Japanese Wagyu from the tenderness, texture, and flavor. The vanilla bean and coffee also gave it a very interesting flavor : ). I wasn't outright shocked but I was mildly impressed :D. The toffee pudding was delicious =3. I can't necessarily rate how good or bad it was as it's a desert I normally don't have =D. The creme brulee was painfully average. Nothing special or anything. It was just creme brulee. A sort of if you've had one you've had them all kind of dish :). The waiter was very sociable and offered fantastic service. I will say that towards the end of our meal an extremely rude pair of guests came in. One started playing terrible elementary music on the piano. They could barely play. The other was like "good thing you guys are leaving now because it's going to get loud." That was quite ghastly ;D. The waiter could have asked them to stop. read more

This lovely restaurant is tucked back from the road, but easy to spot with the big greenhouse next door. As other have noted there is a beautiful chandelier in the lobby along with a truly coffee table sized art book and a fireplace. The main dining room has vaulted ceilings and a second fire place. I imagine the pass through fireplace will create a cozy ambiance in the winter. While I just stopped by for a bit of a tasting I was quite impressed. All of the staff is warm genuinely solicitous about your positive experience. I tried the shrimp cups and the daily special dessert, a chocolate bread pudding. The shrimp cup name doesn't do this tasty appetizer justice. This is firecracker shrimp served in butter lettuce 'cups'. The spicy pop of the perfect (lightly) fried shrimp is well balanced with the cool crisp of the butter lettuce. The serving is proportionate for sharing or making a high protein meal for one. The daily special chocolate bread pudding was recommended. The inclusion of chocolate croissants added to the texture and flavor. The slice of bread pudding was plated with dark & white chocolate, dots of strawberry and mixed purée and a dusting of milk chocolate. It was sumptuous without being too heavy. I would come back again and recommend it to anyone in the area. read more

Was brought here for my birthday, ordered steak tartare this hors d'oeuvre was awesome could of had it as a meal it self, the nights special for $50 of a 16oz New York steak with creamed mashed and carrots cook slightly al dente and done right. And topped with a poached egg. The table service was most excellent. A good place to enjoy and good meal. read more

Our cheerful, charming and attentive waiter gets 5 stars! Ambiance is a bit cold for my taste, sometimes interesting artworks (for sale, I think) try to warm up the very grey room! The check in desk does have a gorgeous light fixture which I missed getting a photo of, sorry! The menu was a disappointment compared to prior visits--it's gone from varied and inventive to expected and pedestrian. Several items, the more creative pizza options, were not available because "business was slow during the week". Menu execution was mixed: Onion soup was top notch with lots of gooey cheese, lightly tempura battered shrimp quite tasty even though I got the very spicy topping on the side, chicken wrap and burger were both reported as OK, the Rueben's toasted wheat bread was so hard my friend could barely bite into it but her steak style fries were screaming hot and delicious, lastly for our lunch, the fish tacos got raves and a clean plate. This Rattlesnake keeps changing its skin, trying to survive Covid and now a bad economic atmosphere, I presume. I wish them well and hope the creativity comes back someday. read more

I had been wanting to try this place forever and I finally got the opportunity to take a coworker from out of town, here. The decor and ambiance inside are amazing! They have their own greenhouse in the back they they use fresh items from to cook with. They brought us out fresh, warm bread which was one of the best complimentary breads I have ate. The butter was whipped and so easy to spread. I could have just ate this for dinner. The firecracker shrimp and smoke salmon bruschetta we ordered for apps were also amazing! I ordered the airplane chicken for my dinner which was ok. I think my coworker's steak came out cold so I deducted 1 star for the entrees but I would definitely come back for the nice bread, apps and drinks. read more

Where do I begin? Rattlesnake Club really blew everything out of the water tonight. We called last minute to get in before a dinner rush and they were more than accommodating. The host was very sweet and got us in right away. Our server was exceptional from the beginning and gave us some of the best service in Reno. Steve was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. He was extremely quick and paid attention to every detail! The food was outstanding. We started with their fresh bread(which was incredible, the Japanese bread was so fluffy and perfect I could eat it forever). We followed this with their classic fire cracker shrimp and then our entrees. We also enjoyed two drinks off the Snake Pit portion of the menu, The Rainbow and The Sidewinder, we're exceptional and beautifully crafted. Our entrees were also exceptional, the tomahawk was definitely our favorite. The crust on it was mouth watering. We couldn't have been more happy with the service, the timing of the food or the quality. Rattlesnake Club has definitely came far from their rocky beginning and I hope it becomes a household name in Reno. read more

What a gem! Welcome to the neighborhood, Rattlesnake Club. Pull out a chair, take a seat, and stay for a while, because Reno is lucky to have you! We were lucky enough to visit the Rattlesnake Club on a whim during happy hour. Discounted apps and drinks meant we got to try a variety of goods, and absolutely none of them disappointed! We started with the Crispy Shrimp Cup as an appetizer. These dynamite shrimp are delicately fried and tossed in the most amazing creamy spicy sauce... simply to die for! Not only are the shrimp themselves huge and succulent, but the sauce packs a serious heat and keeps you coming back for more. The size of the dish is more than enough to satisfy for a full meal, which makes it a steal at $8 on happy hour. While enjoying a fabulous house Merlot for only $5 (yeeeaahhhh), we also tried the Seared Diver Scallops and the Croque Madame. Scallops were excellently executed, and it was such a treat to enjoy the "upscale grilled cheese sandwich" with homemade bread and super high-quality ingredients. Simply delicious! We couldn't fit any room at all for dessert, so we took home the layered apple pie cake. Even a couple hours later, it was sweet and apple-y and delicious! The decor itself was so elegant and modern, I imagine this being a wonderful spot for a future date night. Our bartender was super friendly and helpful too!
