I order refried beans in my burrito. The jalepeños were marinating in their juice before being put in my burrito, and the juice was far to salty. Best food on the planet. There's a magical angel lady in the kitchen there that fills your burrito shell with edible heaven. And she gives you a ridiculous amount of food for the price. They only take cash but you never need more than a $20 from the ATM across the street. It's hard for me to recommend just one thing, absolutely everything there is amazing, you can't go wrong. But when yelp's profile asked for my last meal on earth I didn't have to think twice- Raul's adobado burrito. Oh, just thinking about it makes me need to go get one. My carne asada was DELICIOUS - I ordered it mostly cause all the people before me had ordered the same thing so I figured it HAS to be good if everyone is getting it! Basically just guacamole and carne asada wrapped in a tortilla. I like guacamole, but I'm not crazy about it like some people are. Probably 3.5 stars. The Adobada was tasty but had a real slow burnnnnnn to it. I had a carne asada burrito and the meat was a little dry and bland. My wife had the adobada burrito and I also split an adobada quesadilla with a buddy. Son had some chicken tacos which were surprisingly flavorful. Biggest knocks would be the guy taking the orders, he could not of been any slower and the kitchen was also pretty slow on their end. Don't come here if in a rush. read more

BOMB! my favorite mexican place in the San Diego region. As a local there are numerous mexican places similar nearby but I always come back to Rauls. It's family owned and when the grandma is working, you KNOW your food will be amazing. However, she is getting old so expect the food to sometimes take a while to prepare. I get the carne asada burrito (THE BEST) or tequito chicken burrito (amazing). The best part is the salsa it's amazing. The price has gone up the past few years. I lived in this area for years. I only chose the place about a year ago. I was sold from my first chicken burrito. This is the best chicken burrito on a 10 mile radius. This place is da bomb.com, if I may be so bold. I only gave it four stars because 1) I only had the opportunity to eat here once and try a limited selection of things other than my own burrito that I stealthily snatched from other people's plates and 2) I don't think their carne asada had enough flavor (at least the night that I ate there). That said, they use quality food, everything seemed really fresh, and their flour tortillas were pretty darn good. I am a burrito girl, myself, and I attribute about 40% of the burrito yum factor to the tortilla. I was definitely pleased. I had a veggie burrito, and I love that all their veggies appeared to be fresh cut. My mom also raved about their fish burrito.
