The restaurant is clean, and the service really stood out. The cashier, Leanna, went above and beyond by bringing my order to my table even though she didn't have to. Small gestures like that make a big difference. For lunch, I ordered a cheeseburger. It was cooked to order and took about 10 minutes, which I didn't mind. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and tasted like it was made from a high-quality cut of beef. The downside here is the price. My cheeseburger and an Epsa Orangeade--without fries--came to just over $16. While I've visited this spot multiple times over the years, I think this will be my last. Came in to grab a quick lunch. It's next to Trader Joe's. I got the Chicken Souvlaki Pita sandwich with fries on the lunch menu for $14.95. Their pita sandwich is on the smaller side. It could've used a bit more chicken but tasted great. They did give a lot of fries and their fries were cooked to perfection. Lightly seasoned with a crunchy coating. I ate more than I should have. I'm sorry but this isn't Greek food, at least not authentic anyway. When I'm tasting this type of food I'm usually going to Yiasou Yeeros but unfortunately they were all out of moussaka for the day so I decided to give these guys a shot. Big mistake, this spot is more like going to Chipotle expecting a Mexican restaurant. Perhaps worse when you consider the flavors were totally lacking. The aforementioned moussaka was a gigantic disappointment. The only things you tasted were salt & oregano, what was supposed to be bechamel was so flavorless and chewy it made me wonder if they'd topped it with crap cheese instead. Lemon potatoes were nothing but a salt bomb, what was supposed to be greek salad they didn't even cruble the feta, just a tasteless triangle plopped on the plate and call it a day, tzatziki as bland as I've ever experienced. If you want to dine in, you seat yourself and a server will come take care of you. The grill chicken salad and gyro specials were very good. Located in the Plainview mall - there's plenty of parking. They appear clean and it's bright with their orange interior). There's indoor seating as well but it is for a sit down and a server would take your order. There's a reward program via their app if you download it; you can also order from the app for pick up. We got the 5 meat family combo - they were all good (I especially loved the sausage). The combo also comes with 5 pitas, 2 sides, a salad, and 1 dip. I don't understand but they cut the pitas into 4 pieces each which really irritated me as I wanted to wrap my meat etc with them. They should have asked if I wanted them cut before assuming. The spicy feta dip (up charge of $2.00) was good but their tzatziki was very lacking - it was too thick in consistency and very bland. When I got their regular fries last time they were very undercooked and soggy so we got the curly fries (up charge $1.00) and they were much better. Their Greek rice pudding was very yum and I recommend. Overall the food was good but they are in the pricey side. Ladies and gentlemen, I don't even crave salad like that! The vegetables are fresh, the feta cheese is amazing, the olives are delicious, and of course, I always order my salad with chicken souvlaki. It's served with a side of pita and tzatziki sauce and it's divine. They have a lunch menu that's worth ordering from and don't forget to create an account to accumulate points! Nearly a year since my last post of Greek Xpress in Plainview, NY. Of late I have been on a dime visiting places that have changes of the hour. This noted 4pm they go from lunch to dinner. I got that. I was next door shopping and I initiated a phone order and it was like 3:58 or 3:59 and I literally was outside putting my packages in the car. So I said to the man on the phone, I would just stop in for the order. Admittedly it was just 4pm when I came in to order and it was their posted sign outside clearly noting as of that time there is a change from lunch. I asked the girl behind the counter without long wind of explanation that I had just called, if she could just honor the lunch meals. Her reply as I seem to so recently get was, No, its the computer! Guess it is set up to change when the clock strikes 4 or what ever the digital equivalent is on a computer. She was apologetic, but had not given any response to the , hey could you just (and it would have been a favor) ask the manager if it would be ok ... Manager was not asked, girl appologized again and I paid the difference for the meals. Things have changed over the years and sadly has become more exceedingly rare to actually get good customer services these days. Came in to pick up food for me and my boyfriend today. A small hole in the wall right next to Trader Joe's. The place is well lit and cute inside. It took 10 minutes for my food to be ready and the second I got in the car I could smell just how good the food was going to be. The chicken melted off the skewer and was full of flavor. The fries stayed crispy and were seasoned sooo well! The pita was warm and perfect. I loved the lamb and potatoes. All around a really good meal. We also got a lemon soup as a side that isn't pictured it had chicken and rice which was so perfect for a cold rainy day. They included two large sides of tzatziki sauce. Up and coming Greek chain, come to Suffolk county! I walked in just before noon. There is a sign at the front door, social distancing is strongly in place. My waitress shows me to a table, I pretty much have the place to myself. I know what I want, I ordered a Greek Beer and a Gyro on a pita lunch special. My gyro is brought to me and its pure perfection. The sliced meat is seasoned perfectly and each bite is bringing me back to the motherland. Opa! Working from home today and didn't feel like cooking. Plus the crappy weather had me wanting some type of comfort food that was still healthy. Ordered from DoorDash. I went with a falafel lunch special and my mom went with gyro lunch special. Each lunch special came with our choice of rice, fries, salad or potatoes. Other options were available for an additional charge. You were also able to chose what type pita/wrap you wanted. With my falafel I chose a greek salad to come with it. The falafel was tasty. It wasn't greasy or overly fried. I enjoyed the taste a lot. Greek salad was basic, but good. I didn't use the dressing as it wasn't needed. My mom enjoyed her gyro. She got it with rice. She said it was tasty, which I believe, as she ate it all. Flavors were great all around, and very filling for lunch specials. Definitely gave me that "fix" I needed for comfort on this rainy day. Not that Greek food is specific to this, but I feel for me it's more of a hit or miss than others. I've gotten some horrible Greek food, too bland, too much of something and too little of something else. But Greek Xpress hit the mark. Very new and clean looking interior, reasonably priced, & very good food. -Falafel Pita: 5/5, hands down one of the best pita sandwiches I've ever had. Full of falafel (not stuffed with fillers like tomato and lettuce like so many other places have done) cooked perfectly and seasoned phenomenally. The hummus, French fries, & tzatziki sauce were the icing on the cake. I really don't like to throw 5 star reviews out there on a first time visit, but I was thoroughly impressed and feel confident saying I'm sure the other menu items are fantastic as well. Let me begin by stating that this is a fast food chain with minimum atmosphere charging restaurant prices for their food. We found the prices to be too high for what they are purveying. The service at the tables is good and we were taken care of but the feel of the place is def fast food ! When you compare the food to Greek Cove or Pete the Greek its just not really Greek as advertised...perhaps Greek style. The 2 dressings for the salads, both Greek and Israeli, are meh! The Hummus was creamy but tasteless and they only serve one small pita cut in qtrs with it....Also, they charge $1.50 EXTRA for Feta on the Israeli salad...never saw a greek style salad without Feta or Grape leaves so what gives? My first time trying Greek Xpress, and the verdict... I have clearly been missing out! First things first: Contrary to what I believed, this place is not your typical fast-food restaurant. Stainless steel utensils, rather than plastic forks and knives, are used. Your food is brought to your table, rather than you waiting in line to bring it to a table to eat. The set-up otherwise is like a fast-food restaurant. But you should probably tip if your food is brought to you and your service is good. :) Side note: The bathroom (at least the women's, but probably men's too) is clean. The hummus is very fresh - didn't expect anything less than authentic Greek food. And the pita was warm and tasty. Had the caliente burger, which had a generous amount of spicy feta and spicy peppers on top. I didn't find it too spicy. The spicy feta tasted a lot like cheese pimiento and I thought it was on the milder side. The burger got most of its kick from the spicy peppers. Eating this burger like you would normally eat a burger (i.e., holding it with both hands and taking bites) was a bit of a challenge for me bc I couldn't get the onions, tomatoes, AND spicy peppers to stay in place while not letting the spicy feta just drip onto the plate, so I ended up just using my utensils for this one lol. It was a pretty good and FILLING burger. I think I'll be getting Greek Xpress again in the future! read more

I actually re-download it this app just to express my opinion on this place. Do not walk in here! Their aim is to rip you off! There are hidden and extra fees that they don't tell you about until after the fact. Once I caught them in overcharging me, they had no remorse whatsoever and there was zero consideration for the customer. I would never walk in this place again and in fact I'm going to report them! We were not even planning to come here but Hubby had to use a restroom so we pulled into the closest shopping center and saw this place... we were only a little hungry so we decided to try it. First let me say that the interior is spotless, simple yet modern, they are limiting capacity and so not all the tables were open for seating. Our order was taken at the table and I have to say the presentation along with the food quality and quantity was wonderful. The complementary Pita & Tzatziki I have to say was was really good too. This place is awesome! The people who work here are super sweet and helpful and really listen to special order instructions :) Everything I've eaten here has been phenomenal but some all-stars are: the hummus, spicy feta dip, zucchini fritters, feta fries and the rice pudding. Like I said, everything is delicious and it's all well priced - the platters are 1000% worth your money because it's two meals worth of food and heats up to be just as delicious as the night before.
