The BEST burger in VA Beach and the tallow fries slap so hard. Came in on a Monday afternoon and was stoked to find half-off of the Raven Burger. Added a side of tallow fries and a vanilla shake and I am not joking when I say the first bite of the burger with the crispy fries and a hit of the ice cold shake was a one-way ticket to Flavortown. They have happy hour 3-6 pm with 1/2 off sliders and $1 off of beer and wine. Family friendly with outdoor seating. Service was excellent and Dean absolutely crushed it! Would come back in a heartbeat the next time I'm in town. This is the spot if you're looking for the best burger in the 757. read more

Quite possibly the SMALLEST restaurant I've had the pleasure of dining in, but they make the most of their little space! We found this place while on vaca, after ditching our original dinner plans. It was a short walk from the hotel and it's only a block from the oceanfront. The service was quick and friendly. The space small & quaint. She ordered the crab cake sandwich and thought it was spectacular. I had the Neptune King... Without a doubt one of the BEST burgers, that I've had in a long time! My husband told me that The Raven lives again, so I decided to treat him for his birthday. From the ashes of the original restaurant, the legacy called Raven Carryout Cafe has emerged. It's been opened for a little over a month. It is still on Pacific but on the corner of 28th St, side by side to Subway. My husband ordered the Raven burger. I had the French Onion burger, best known as the Frenchy. Both burgers had 2 patties, smashburger style. Signature sauce is so good for dipping fries or burgers dipping. I love that the fries are cooked in beef tallow. Welcome back, old friend. We will be back for more memories. read more

This was my second time in here, I came with friends for my first time and we just wanted a little desert and one thing lead to another and we tried their sliders which were amazing. The food and service alone was enough to get me to come back the second time. Our server, Although I didn't get his name he is a very great host and informed us of the amazing deals we came on a good day. Regardless of the prices I got their crab cake sliders and Mac n cheese, let me tell you the crab cakes were so savory and juicy. Great flavor all around and then the Mac n cheese was incredible. And their Dels lemonade and milkshakes are fantastic. The area is perfect as well with parking behind the building and close to the beach. It's right next to subway and a better and fresher alternative if you ask me. Let me start with the customer service because that's what even got us in there in the first place. Lacy the amazing server was sitting outside, handed us a menu and let us know they were running a half price special on burgers. We really didn't have a plan but were walking into the restaurant next door....we thought about it for a second after looking at the menu and decided to give it a chance. Upon walking in, Lacy and Dean were so pleasant and went above and beyond to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for someone with strict allergy restrictions--a level of care and attention that's hard to come by. They took the time to listen, made thoughtful accommodations, and were incredibly personable and kind throughout the visit. Their hospitality made all the difference. Now THE FOOD! Group of 5 -- Everyone was beyond satisfied and impressed. 1. Crab cake sliders- fresh, moist, flaky and perfectly cooked. Just enough tarted Onion Rings- perfectly fried, crispy 2. Neptune burger (no bacon)- amazing, rich in flavor, fried egg was fried to perfection and the sauce was so good! 3. Yellowtail Blackened Tuna- crisp, moist, juicy, tender. The creole tartar sauce *chefs kiss* 4. Raven Burger- no cheese, no sauce, gluten free bun. The bun was very fresh, the beef was so good but I didn't have any sauce so I was worried about it being dry-- I was in for a TREAT. It was sautéed perfectly grilled, very seasoned and bursting with flavor. Fries were also perfect 5. Neptune Burger- very very good. Fully loaded mushrooms, onions, bacon, cooked really well without me saying how to cook it Angus, brisket and short rib combo and seasoned to perfection. We checked out this place for dinner during our VA Beach stay at the Hyatt House right across the street. This was my favorite meal of our trip! The service was wonderful. Our server remembered all of our orders (we were a party of 6) and the food was brought out pretty quickly. She also came to check on us frequently and the owner stopped by to chat with us - very friendly! The menu is simple and food was absolutely delicious. The burgers were the perfect balance of juicy but not too greasy and the fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We also tried the hot dog, tuna sandwich, and crab cake sliders. All were delicious! Will definitely visit again the next time we're in VA Beach. read more

We used to faithfully frequent the old Raven restaurant that closed during Covid-19 and were delighted to learn that it had reopened at a different location on 28th St and Pacific Ave. It's smaller than the old restaurant but has a nice atmosphere. If I'm being honest, it's probably more of a lunch spot but we went for dinner. The soup was excellent, crab and corn chowder. They had two or three dinner specials. My wife had the fried chicken with green beans and potato salad and said everything was fantastic. I opted for the Raven burger and a side of collard greens. The burger was great and the greens were delicious. We met the chef, Tasia, and had an enjoyable conversation with her. The service was great and the food was super.
