Came here for a 3rd time for oil change and honestly it has been 5/5 but I guess ignorance was bliss. I came here for first time one year ago for oil change as they quoted me $110 instead of $185 that dealership asked for . I was happy with it. So I got it dine again 6 months later for similar price. The guy that helped me was named Luis. However, Upon coming in today I was quoted $125 which I figured would be just normal inflation. However, I got a call two hours later that my car uses different oil and that I am looking at $270 as my new total. I was also told that my remaining few oil was already drained out. I complained how it's more expensive than dealership and how I was charged for significantly less previous times. Then they tell me that someone used a wrong oil for my car and that's the reason why it's cheaper. He also said he called many places and Genesis dealership called about more than $500. I said to just proceed since I needed the car for work but called the dealership to make sure and dealership service representative said they charge $215 for my vehicle. Once I got to the the shop, they suddenly tell me that there's a 3% credit card charge which was unheard of. When I mentioned previous charges, they said the worker probably charged the 3% without telling me lol.... There's no way I would sit there and be charged extra. So idk. Not that I don't believe them but as a 3rd visit, I felt like I came to a completely new shop or different management. Will not be returning and just taking it to dealership instead since dealership seems to be cheaper and they don't change their words. read more

I requested my valve cover gasket to be replaced as they showed pictures of my front valve cover and camshaft seal leaking oil back in May. I know for sure that there was an oil leak since I can smell oil when the AC is on and pulling fresh air into my cabin. Didn't have the money at the time so I denied servicing that issue. Now it's July and I scheduled and confirmed for them to replace the leaking valve cover and camshaft seal online and over the phone. The guy on the phone said they'll go ahead with the quoted price of $366 (after tax). I accepted the work after dropping off my car. However, 2 hours later the shop called and said my intake manifold gasket needed to be replaced as they would need to remove the intake manifold to get to the valve cover that's by the firewall and that it will be $63 plus labor. This made sense, so I agreed that they should remove it and the guy on the phone said he'll send a link again to approve the work done (the guy's name was Ivan I think, sorry). Before approving the work I immediately saw that the total price jumped from $366 to $800+. I thought the labor was already included with replacing the valve cover gasket! The person who answered back said removing the intake manifold was it's own labor so it's a separate charge. I couldn't ask for them to just do one side OR not remove the intake manifold as it was already removed. To keep this short, the shop gave me a discount at first to lower the price down to $734 and then removed some or all of the labor cost for the intake manifold which brought the price down to $613. Still almost $250 more than what I originally approved for, but I am thankful they were able to lower the price even if it took all 2 months pay for me. Do I feel bad for the technician who worked on my car? Yes, I really do. But if the intake manifold has to be removed and have it's gasket replaced I believe that it should be included in the price I approved first instead of having the approved price an "estimate". Also, I'm pretty sure they didn't install a new camshaft seal like their original recommendation said to replace. They did the work, I smell less oil coming into the cabin when the AC is on or when idling and my windows are open. My Google review still stands true. They did not try to scam me in saying my AC evaporator core needed replacing and heard my symptoms carefully and properly diagnosed my issue unlike 5 other shops I called. My criticism this time is for them to give a proper price from the beginning and not charge more for something that may be procedural (remove intake manifold to reach the rear valve cover gaskets). read more

I've been going to Raven's (formerly Orozco) for a few years now. Even though the name has changed, the service is the same. Everyone is always friendly, prices are reasonable, and it's close to one of my favorite restaurant's in Fullerton (Cafe Cultura). The service I went in for an oil change and they never overcharge or try to push other things that may need my attention. I recently went to Orozcos in Fullerton got my Timing cover done and headlight replacement. I really liked the service there they gave me a ride to work. The guys in the front were excellent he gave me a great deal and got the job done right the first time. Overall I dealt with a a lot of repair shops before and they weren't as detailed as Orozcos. I received a digital inspection and pictures of all the bad components. So I know everything they did was needed and all the recommended services were all preventative. please do not take your car to this shop. read the other reviews where they didn't incentivize them with discounts to post. these guys will scam you on repairs you don't need and will charge you much more than the dealer. they said my AC line was broken and leaking and my EVAP issue had to do with my radiator. they quoted me 4 grand to fix everything and ripped me off on the diagnosis as that wasn't the case and it was a simple EVAP canister. Came to the shop for an Alignment with a 9:00 appointment. The manager estimated 1 hour to complete. The mechanic took the tire off at approximately 9:45. At 11:00 I noticed no one was working on the truck. I ask what was going on and the manager said the mechanic put the job on hold because there was a tire in question. I told the manager to complete the alignment. The alignment was completed at 12:00. They are more worried about an up sale than completing the requested service. read more

I was a little skeptical at first, as deceitful mechanics can be easy to find and hard to forget, but after some quick google searches I found that they were essentially giving me a lower price on every requested service than I expected. That's not even mentioning the customer service. Every guy there was kind, accommodating, and willing to chat about every change and explain why they suggest it happens. I searched thru Google to find the closest repair shops for convertible tops. I was refer to OROZCO'S AUTO SERVICE. MY NIGHTMARE, to replace and repair the convertible top in already working condition, i was told: $89.00 for the estimate alone. Then, it was going to be $1000.00 for the estimate which would turn another lie. After paying for both, i was given a verbal agreement of $2600 to get it repaired. Turnout to be another lie. Friendly service nice guys, battery issues and engine light on wanted to charge over $400 to change the battery would have took them3 minutes to do the job. $189 for the diagnostic AAMCO would have done it for free. Had AAA change the battery for $130 took less then 5 minutes. Don't recommend this spot unless you have money to waste. read more
