Gino, great guy at the front desk is the first great sign. He says Jose is one of the nicest people ever, couldn't agree more. Definitely helped me out while I was going through a lot. I made the EASIEST mistake known to cars, and they could of easily overcharged me, but didn't. And honestly for that, I am so grateful. I didn't make the best first impression, but they did. Think I found my new mechanic. If vou liked what vou read and need to get your car fixed, come to Orange Empire Auto!

My request went through the Yelp Project page first and Jose was very fast with his response. He told me I could come in on a Friday morning as a walk in. Gino who took care of my intake was very friendly and made me feel welcome. They also had a comfy waiting area stocked with complimentary coffee and snacks, but I didn't need to wait long because I was out of there within an hour, oil changed and tires rotated. Their prices are fair and they accept both credit card and cash/Zelle (if you want to avoid the 3% credit card surcharge). During the oil change they also noted some things that will need repair, but weren't pushy with their recommendations. For that I am very appreciative, and will most definitely come back for their continued services.

I relied on the old reviews of this place with Tatsu but I agree, I met Kevin and he isn't that welcoming, not sure if he's going thru something in his life and taking it out on customer but I also agree, he's short, can come off as rude and idk, doesn't seem to enjoy talking to customers about cars. I asked for oil change only and got quoted over 200$? He tried to say the better oil was recommended but like dude I can go to valvoline right now for 100$ no questions asked.. I think they try to charge more because they use high tech diagnostic equipment which is great for major issues but for simple things I was displeased to get upsold when my almost new car is in great condition..... I was hoping to build a lasting relationship with this place but I'm going back to my trusted dealer who is a bit farther but worth the drive, Fitzgeralds Auto in Costa Mesa or OC Masters Tech in Orange for my MAZDA!

He diagnoses quickly, gets the job done efficiently, charges reasonably compared to other mechanics we've gone to in the area, and above all is a man of integrity--he's allowed us to pay for certain repairs days later to make sure our car is running properly first. He is transparent about his shop's limitations (they don't do German cars but refer us to highly rated shops nearby). I was hoping it just needed a Freon recharge. After checking the A/C system, Frank confirmed that the Freon was just low and everything else looked good. Luckily, her older car uses the newer, less expensive Freon. I just hung out while he recharged the system, and it was ready to go about 20 minutes later. The cost was only $150, money well spent to get ice cold air conditioning back. The most recent visit was to troubleshoot a service error code and ABS and brake warning lights. I was hoping this would just be a sensor on one of the wheels, but Frank said it looked like the main ABS ECU unit was faulty. Given the potential cost of the repair, it didn't make sense given the value of the car. I appreciated his honest opinion. He said there was no charge, but I still tipped him for his time because he always takes great care of me. I have tried a few other shops in the area over the years, and had initial good experiences. However, they all eventually gave me an estimate I knew as wrong, or didn't do work they said they did. I've been going to Frank ever since, and trust him 100%. If you need a top notch mechanic, Frank is your guy!

They noticed my hybrid battery cooling fan was missing after I told them I just had it "replaced" at another shop. That's the kind of information you don't usually get from a repair shop. They ended up not needing to drop the subframe, so they adjusted the labor instead of charging me for work they didn't have to do. It still took the amount of time they said it was going to take, but still discounted me a little bit which I thought was cool. I also had them do an oil change while it was there, and even that was less expensive than what I normally pay at places like Jiffy Lube or Valvoline. If you own a Prius or any hybrid, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. More than anything, I left feeling like they genuinely know these cars and took the time to educate me, not just fix it. I have a Chevrolet Bolt EUV with a set of tires that practically nobody makes anymore, and one of them had started leaking air. I was worried I was in for an expensive replacement. I'm so thankful ChatGPT directed me to Tire Outlet. The moment I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted with smiles and employees who were eager to help. The manager personally took care of me, and from the very beginning, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The speed of service really impressed me. About a year ago, I brought my car to a different tire shop in Fullerton for another leaky tire and ended up waiting 2 1/2 hours before anyone even looked at my car. Today's experience couldn't have been more different. While I relaxed in Tire Outlet's clean, comfortable waiting lounge and got some work done on my laptop, they had everything taken care of in about 15 minutes. Then came the biggest surprise of all. They told me my tire didn't need to be replaced after all--they were able to fix it easily by hand. And when I went to pay, they insisted on not charging me anything. The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

I've been to a few jiffy lube locations in the L.A area but none of them come close to the quality service and car knowledge I received from the staff like this location in Anaheim. The employee who seemed to be running the show at this location is a 5 Star MVP and absolutely knows his stuff. Andy took the time to explain my vehicles current status in detail and had an abundance of beneficial recommendations and suggestions that were not the typical upsell you get in most similar situations. Because of Andy and the rest of the staffs diligence and quality service, I will recommend this location to anyone and everyone I know. On my gosh. Just found this place and love it. I've been to valvoline centers and other jiffy lubes in the area but let me tell you. If you have a chance to get to this particular one. Do so I highly recommend it. The staff is fantastic. Especially Nathan. What a find. Courteous helpful patient. He took the time to explain to me what was needed. And what wasn't. Others at those other places get short when you ask questions but Nathan did not. They were quick in my services and I was out of there in no time. Our son was going in for an emergency appendix surgery, on my way to hospital in Huntington Beach I get a flat tire. Luckily I spot the Allen Tire Shop on Harbor in Anaheim and after telling the mechanic my dilemma he gets me back on the road with a new tire in 20 minutes. Once I got there, Jovani assisted me right away and that man knows what he is doing! I appreciated his honesty, knowledge, and helpfulness. I took my car in at 1PM and I was leaving the parking lot at 4:30PM which saved me the trouble of needing to get a rental car (such a relief). You get tremendous value for the quality and speed of service they provide here. Their prices are some of the best in town, and they've always been honest with me. They never try to charge for services that aren't needed or work they didn't do. Unfortunately, people are often quick to leave a review when they're upset, but not enough people take the time to share their positive experiences. I felt it was important to do so because businesses like this deserve recognition for their honesty and great service.
