I agree with everyone else that has said, Raw Dead Fish is the best in town when it comes to Sushi. The quality of the fish is always top notch. The owner and his staff are always friendly and go that extra mile to make sure the customer is taken care of and happy. I have a food allergy and never once have I been made to felt terrible for asking them to customize a roll. Every member of the staff has always smiled, been completely pleasant and more than happy to make it work! I have tried just about every Sushi place in CDA, Post Falls and Hayden. I have to say hands down that the portion sizes, for the price you pay, are the absolute best at Raw Dead Fish. I hope this food truck will continue to be around for a very long time! read more

I've been dreaming of and dying for a sushiritto and these guys made my dreams come true. It's all of the flavors and mouth-feel you love from sushi with the satisfaction of a handful of burrito. I shared one with my husband and it filled us both up. The truck is beautifully painted and the patio is comfortably shaded with live plants and ample seating. I go to sashimi places to get fresh fish. Rawdeadfish provides some of the freshest seafood I can remember eating. I thought that I must be near the ocean to enjoy fish so good. I looked up and saw an asphalt parking lot and a few other food trucks. The only big body of water nearby was Lake Coeur D'Alene, so I knew the fish didn't come from there so the fish monger had good connections. Anyway the sashimi was wonderful, the place was busy and the service good. Many folks stopped by to obtain take away food and seemed to know the owner. I was pleasantly surprised by this truck, very good sushi and the staff was nice. The roll I ordered was great, the Unagi was some of the best I've ever had, really great. I also ordered a couple spicy tuna hand rolls (not on the menu) and overall it was good, but the seaweed paper was a little tough to bite through. But good nevertheless. read more

It's a food truck in a lot with several other food trucks. My first time there was mid afternoon last summer. It was hot. We had to wait for other people to finish for a shaded spot. They prepare it fresh, so if there's multiple people ahead of you or call-in orders were placed ahead of you, it can take a while to get served. They have canned soda and bottled water, you won't be getting complimentary ice water like at a restaurant. Last time I went, I got a large fountain iced tea at a nearby gas station before going there. Oh, and there's a porta potty bathroom. read more

My 11 year old daughter couldn't get enough of the spyder roll. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Super friendly staff too! I've been putting it off for almost a year because I didn't think anyone could come close to the SoCal sushi I was used to. I had the Dragon Roll. I hesitated because $15 seemed a bit pricey. All I have to say is WOW!!! No really I have so much more to say. I have always been scared of trying anything that is raw out of a truck. But never again will I be afraid. My husband and I are pescatarians so sushi is one of our favorite things to eat. And we have tried most places in the Coeur d'Alene and Spokane area. But this was by far the BEST!!! I never thought we would say that. And it was faster for us then going to any place we have been before. They also give you the option of calling ahead so that your order is ready when you get there. This is my favorite sushi place around, and if they had delivery, I'd probably order it every night. Not only is their sushi delicious, fresh, and aesthetically pleasing, but the people who work here are very kind and fun. In the winter, while I waited for them to finishing making my sushi, they gave me free miso while I stood by the fire. They go out of their way for their customers and it shows. Yummmm! I just went here for the first time! We got the North Idaho roll, tempura roll, Vegas roll, salmon nigiri, and the sushirito! Everything was delicious!
