I needed a maintenance check on my air conditioner. I called Ray's after reading the great reviews. I was very impressed that Ray was able to schedule an appointment the same day even though it was not an emergency. The technician that came was Joseph. He was very professional and checked the thermostat, furnace and then had to get on the roof to service the ac unit. I felt bad because it was such a hot day. I found Ray's plumbing just through YELP. I always make an effort to reading the negative reviews 1st, because that gives me an understanding of what type of issues came up with a vendor. Then I read the positive reviews to confirm. As a business owner, I understand the frustration of dealing with bad customers, or customers that just don't know the process of a repair. I read the negative reviews which basically, voices of children nagging, and I read the replies Ray wrote, and I could tell, Ray's a good guy. Good vendors are hard to find, specially here in DHS, as they will try to lie, cheat, steal, when they can. But Ray is one of the good guys, I felt comfortable from the worst negative reviews and Ray's responses, that it's not Ray.....it's the customers. I called in at 7:30 am and surprisingly he answered the call! Great job!! Said it would be about $85 to come and diagnose, he came, did a honest job! Charged $85 as promised, it was a service plus filter change and cleaning. I will definitely send him ALL, our business moving forward. This was a shocking event as far as timing! I called the janitor of the condo I rent, complaining about the lack of heat. He said, "No worries, Our guy is in the neighborhood." That 'our guy' turned out to be Ray of Ray's Air Conditioning & Heating. He and his partner were at my place in 30 minutes and diagnosed the problem. They were honest about the problem, and I overheard him calling around to get the best price for the part. Thirty minutes after that phone call, it was installed. He then took time to tell me how often to clean the filter in both the summer and winter months. They were efficient and professional. I felt comfortable with them being here. I have been using Ray for the last 8 years and I have purchased over 5 units, I am a property management company and Ray is the one I call when it's time to replace a system. I have had ZERO issues with his units, the installation and the quality of work. Ray and his team go above and beyond for all of his customers. I have had a heck of a time with my home AC unit that keeps going out. There has been at least 18 calls to home warranty who sends out different companies, no one could figure it out.
