First time ordering here! We went thru drive- thru and ordered and had to come back to pick up-- they told us best to order via phone then come pick up!! We ordered the Italian Combo that had the white garlic sauce and it was fabulous !! All of the toppings tasted totally fresh. We will definitely be back again !! I came here for the first time on Saturday. The pizza (we got half cheese and half ham and pineapple) and cheesy breadsticks exceeded all my expectations. It was absolutely delicious!! This place is a hidden gem! We stayed in Pioneer for a few nights and since cooking didn't seem appealing on arrival we decided to grab some pizza from here. It's nice to have a pizza option here in Pioneer but Ray's is more than just an option. They make excellent pizzas with delicious, fresh ingredients. We pick up pizzas from here at least once a week. The Combo is always excellent but I would recommend trying our other fave - the Gourmet Garlic and Artichoke Chicken - you will not be disappointed! read more

Best pizza ever! We're so addicted, and it's much too close to our house, lol. Our favorite is the Garlic Chicken and we request the White Pesto Sauce (a mix of the white sauce and pesto sauce). To die for! The giant pizza is a flat $20 out the door. There's typically 3 adults at my home who eat it, and it's enough for at least two meals each (and that's eating too much in one sitting, lol). When we have a 4th male adult, there's still leftovers. The pizza is piled higher than any other pizza I've had. Pizza is one of my favorite foods, so I've had a lot of it from many different places. Ray's Pizza is at the top of the list. It is take and bake, but it cooks surprisingly fast. I'm used to Papa Murphey's in Sacramento, where it takes just as much, if not more, time to cook. Yet the pizzas are so much lighter/thinner than Ray's Pizza and doesn't taste nearly as good. Due to the thickness and heavy toppings on Ray's Pizza, I'd say one slice of their pizza is equal to 2 slices of the average pizza. read more

Quite probably the best pizza I've ever had. A good friend of mine who eats pizza 10 times a week, is adamant it's the best he's ever had. So he picks up two pizzas from Ray's everytime he comes out to Gold Country for a day. Highly recommend doing a custom pizza with white sauce, salami, mushroom, jalapeno or the Boss Lady, both are must tries. read more

Ray's pizza is the bomb! (That's California slang for 'the best'). We have visited Ray's Pizza a couple of times and the pizza rocks. Its piled high with toppings and just enough cheese. Make sure to not overcook the pizza or it can become hard. Take it out at the time listed in the instructions. Best Pizza in Amador County and perhaps the Bay Area. read more

Ray, I really hope you personally read this and you personally try your chicken wings. We have had your pizza numerous times and it's fine. My wife has ordered the chicken wings several times. I just reheated 3 of them and it was seriously disgusting in my opinion. They look nice and large for drumsticks but seriously it was 80% fat, skin and gristle. GROSS! SERIOUSLY! Ok so we just moved from the coast to West Point and are really struggling with the lack of takeout here! Today it was Yelp to the rescue! We read about Ray's and decided to go check it out. This place is the definition of "hidden gem". We drove by 2 times before we found it. They really need better signage! Anyhow, there were a couple cars in the drive thru and a couple eating soft serve out front when we entered what can only be described as the kiosk. The staff was super froendly, the prices beyond reasonable and they had breadsticks, chilled soda, take n bake desserts and the aforementioned soft serve available (flavors change weekly--this week is mango and vanilla). We were told it would be 10-15 minutes until our order would be ready and it was. It was a little strange to cook it on the wax paper and there was a bit of smoke in my oven from the oil, but the pizza was great. The paper made the bottom crispy, but the top was soft. Yum! We will most definitely be back! Note that they only have the cinnamon rolls during the holidays, which was a major bummer but I can wait! read more

Excellent pizza parlor making pizzas that you can pick up and bake at home. The ingredients are fresh, the pizzas are consistently good, and the prices are excellent. The reason for the three stars? Well, my son is allergic to wheat and I'm no longer scoring any business high that doesn't offer gluten free or peanut friendly. Currently, we order a pizza to go then order the toppings only to put them on a gluten free pizza at home or just purchase a gluten free pizza from the store. This breaks my heart and I wish every restaurant could catch up with the current epidemic of people with food allergies and offer more options so the entire family can enjoy their fun pizza night.
