I swear I've left a review for this place. I have been coming here for 14 years. I don't get up here as often as I'd like but it's always a treat when I come in. Pizza by the slice, always a good selection when I come in. Very homey. They have rc and hires root beer. I'd call the service very authentic and I've never had a bad slice of pizza.

Referred by a coworker who's from NY. The place was very NY vibe with great decor and tvs. Had two slices, half and half pizza and garlic knots Walk in and the folks up front were very fun with accents and speaking what sounded like italian. They wouldn't recommend any slice or tell me their favorite, which i thought was odd. Wish they would have cuz i missed on the two individual slices. White pizza slice was not my cup of tea, but the crust was a mazing. 3 out of 5 stars Spinach and tomoato slice was disappointing. The crust was amazing except for the first two bites that were very soggy. Like the tomato and spinach has released a lot of moisture. That was a rough start. 2 out of 5 stars. Half monster pizza (combo). They loaded the toppings. Probably should have requested light on the mushrooms. Crust was amazingly crunchy and did not flop even with all the weight. 4.5 out of 5. Half pepperoni pizza. Spicy and tasty. About what you expect from a a pep slice, but the crust was sooo good like the monster half. Wife and son both really liked it..5 out of 5. Garlic knots were flavorful with a tiny crunch but airy and soft on the inside. 4.5 out of 5 stars. When we are in the area, this will likely be our go to pizza place. Very interested in trying other slices.

I pick up slices from here on the regular now. For family members and myself. I have become the Ray s delivery person for them.the crust is amazing. Crispy. The topping are great especially anchovies. They are not cheap with them either. So I don't understand the 3.2 rating at this moment. The pizza is definitely a 5. The older lady and young lady are a delight to deal with. However another person not so much so maybe a ratings drop because of it.

Even with so many Ray's pizzas, this is my favorite. Ray's Pizza in Scottsdale delivers a classic pizzeria vibe with its cozy, no-frills interior. The warm lighting and checkerboard floor invite you to slow down and savor the nostalgia. Tucked along the wall, the menu boasts a tempting lineup of Italian-American favorites, from calzones to specialty pies. I started with an order of garlic knots, which were perfectly golden and drenched in a generous coating of garlic butter, served with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. It was a perfect balance between crispy edges and soft center. Next, I tried a classic cheese pizza slice, a true test of any pizzeria's mettle. The crust was just thin enough to fold but sturdy enough to hold the tangy tomato sauce and gooey, bubbling mozzarella. The standout, however, was the pesto pizza slice. The basil pesto was fresh and fragrant, paired with creamy mozzarella and a dusting of Parmesan that tied it all together beautifully. Ray's Pizza captures the heart of a neighborhood pizzeria, blending tradition with quality. Whether you're a local or just passing through Scottsdale, this spot is worth a Try the pesto pizza--you'll thank me

Ray's delivers some of the best pizza in the Phoenix area. Both pizza types have a crispy crust, quality ingredients, and big flavor. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, they're fair for the quality you get. One cool bonus: their selection of old-school fountain sodas adds a nostalgic touch to the experience. If you're a pizza fan, Ray's is absolutely worth the stop.

Average pizza. Bitter old owner. Zero effort staff. Tons of better options in Scottsdale.

Bad greasy pizza. The owner openly coughed on my food so I left the second visit. Dirty floors with dust.

Best pizza that I've had in Az. Bri from Philly, I'm a tough critic! I feel like a slice now and you can buy by the slice! 5 star!

I saw a few of my foodie favs talking a out Di Maggio's on IG and it just so happened to be our anniversary week so I snagged a reservation. I did book a table at the patio and there are intense misters on. I did not know this, oops. But our server was so nice and accomodating and they were able to move us to a table inside. We got a nice little booth and were both amazed at the service we received. Vince is super knowledgeable about the restaurant, the history, the chef and dishes. Choices were hard to make but we landed on the arancini, the Don meatball, chicken parm and chicken alla michele. For our anniversary, we got a couple of drinky drink surprises which was so thoughtful. Don't skip dessert here - order the cheesecake! Apparently it is made by the chef's wife and was so delicious. I have taken my boyfriend to Banhams on a couple occasions and he much preferred the Di Maggio's cheesecake.

This restaurant is very intimate and full of many authentic Italian dishes. There is no bad dish here, but my absolute favorites were the meatball for appetizer and barolo short rib pasta for entree. One of the only downsides to this restaurant is that it's smaller and not many tables compared to traditional restaurants, so the only way you're going to eat here is getting a reservation which can sometimes require up to 1-2 weeks in advance depending on the weekend. If you're lucky enough to get a resy here, then you'll be extremely happy with your experience because it's definitely worth it.

I did go on a first date here and maybe not as romantic as I would have liked -- much more of a family vibe -- or in the bar area was all about sports. It wasn't too loud so that was good since we were doing a lot of talking, LOL. It was a Saturday night and my date had made a reservation but it looked like we could have easily gotten a table without one. There is a parking lot but couldn't tell if it was easy parking because we took an Uber since we were drinkiing. I started with an espresso martini and I would give it a 4/10 -- I think the espresso used was low quality because it wasn't my favorite. My date got a whiskey old fashioned and he liked it. Service was pretty good -- it was a busy Saturday night. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal but the server was gone for some time so my date had to flag her down. I ordered the halibut with crab on top and the server recommended a white wine to pair -- I thought it was an usual suggestion but went with it -- she didn't even suggest which white - so I went with a Sav Blanc and it was actually quite good -- I didn't catch the name. We started with some shrimp cocktail and that was pretty good, sauce was tasty. The halibut was actually quite good and cooked to perfection - the crab on top was really good too -- it came on a bed of linguini which was too much -- I didn't really eat that. My date had the filet special with a lobster sauce -- it looked really rich and the portion was huge! He couldn't even eat it all. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I was quite full when we left, LOL! I didn't catch how much the total cost was but I think it had to have been at least $200 -- so definitely some dough will be dropped! But for a special occasion it is worth it.

On this trip we had a margarita pizza, chicken parm, and a side of meatballs, we also had a Caesar salad. Everything was 10/10 the freshness of each dish is present in the rich flavors, the freshest basil I've ever had on a pizza and as I love tons of it! The tomato sliced thin so it took in some heat and charred just a bit. The crust is like nothing I've ever had almost like focaccia bread but thinner the perfect crispiness. Now this chicken parm, it's huge we split it and left with 1/2! Comes with angel hair marinara and green beans, it's crisp but with a light breading and yet it's fully breaded again not like any chicken parm I've had, the angel hair marinara is super flavorful for a simple side plus buttery net not oil green beans. I'm not sure how they do it but I'll go back as many times I can
